Bovie, I haven’t looked at this guestbook for awhile. What is wrong with Jimmy Martin? He is such a nice guy. Thanks.

I don't know about you but, I'm burnt out on all this political talk, hatred and ill-will some are showing against others.  It seems friends are arguing and fighting with friends!  Here's what I propose:

Feb 14 is Valentine's Day!  It's not just for lovers, it can be for friends you care about.  Remember grade school when we decorated boxes and put cards in our friends shoe box!  With all that's going on in our world today, what better time than Valentine's to send a card to someone you miss or care about??!!

I'm not suggesting you go to Hallmark & buy those expensive ones ($4 to $7). Go to Dollar Tree.  Their cards are all .50cents, the fancy ones are $1.00.  Pick 6 or so friends you want to send warm wishes to and mail them.  I hope many of you will do this, I am.  I wish we could decorate shoe boxes and have a big party, but for now, the US Mail will have to do.  Send a card, make someone smile!

Jack, she can't walk and needs help with everything.  She's had hip problems for awhile and in Aug she got up from chair and collapsed.  Her hip gave way and she can't walk.  As for why she's been there since Aug, still a mystery to me.  The only answer she's been given is, " They can't find a bed for her in a hospital."  This is not an elective surgery . . .  I'm just as confused as you are!

I also talked with Susan few minutes ago.  She's doing good and no lingering side effects from the covid.  All she can do is lay in bed waiting for surgery to be scheduled.  Said she has watched all the old sitcoms and right now watching Tom Selleck!  Prayers the surgery will happen soon!

It's really good to hear Susan Sunde has gotten over covid-19.  Now, if they can just get her scheduled to have her hip surgery.  Poor thing has been waiting since Aug 2020!

Susan Piland Sunde wanted me to let everyone know that she is over the COVID and at least she did not get a bad case of it! She also gets her vaccine January 25!!! She sounded good!!! She is just waiting to hear about her hip surgery and said she would believe it is happening when she sees the scalpel in the surgeon’s hand! Keep her in your prayers!!!

This is the kind of "good" snow I like . . . it doesn't stick!  For once Paul, OKCY isn't getting any snow!  It's coming down pretty heavy but melting when it it's the street.  Although the fences and grass have some accumulation. With an overnight low of 33, I bet there'll be some ice on the bridges tonight and early morning.

Thank you David and Paul for your service to our great country.  The class of '66 had a lot of men and women who went into the military, the list is too long to remember each one.  But, Don Lincoln has created and kept a list and always recognizes each on Patriotic holidays.

The "thing" about the GB, it's a place where '66ers care share and express their views without being attacked.  I too stand with you both and do not believe any of those people storming the Capitol and breaking into offices and stealing things are patriots whatsoever. That's not how you treat something you care about!

David, while I don’t want to start a “thing” on the GB, I do want to stand with you. As a part of the Air Force for 40 years, I believe I know what it means to be proud of, and to believe in, and to SERVE your country rather than to pretend to love it in order to satisfy selfish ambition.  NO ONE...I repeat, NO ONE who truly loves their country incites people to do what we saw.  And there was indeed incitement.
