Marshal Jack, back up plan, steal balls out of Ronnie Townsend's golf bag. He's a player.
The other guys are to cheap to buy a quality golf ball. Wilmer Capps plays with used range balls.

For those attending the party Sat. . . Listen up!!  Usually abt 25 or 30 of us go to dinner after the party.  Last 3 times we've gone to IFratelli's on Macarthur & gotten their pvt room.  This time it's taken!!   However, after careful thought & planning, Barb came up w/an excellent idea.  Let's have IFratelli's deliver their excellent pizza to the hotel & we'll just stay there & have a pizza party!!   So be thinking abt if you will stay & participate in the pizza party or if you have to leave!  Barb & I will take the orders & money in advance & place the order to be delivered about 6:30ish.  It won't cost much for anyone & will be a cheap dinner with friends!!!  Seriously, lots of pizza & salad, including tax & tip will be abt $10pp.  P.S.  Bring cash - Barb & don't take Cr Cds & we don't take IOUs . . . we work on a cash only basis!!     (easier when we do our taxes)

Think abt this, as we will be asking for your commitment for dinner about 3:00 Sat. - yes or no?

Kathy Orr, yes we may be out numbered, but not out-classed by a long stretch.

Nita, check some of the events photos on this website. You'll see that Don Gaines attended several.  SNL will know better, but I believe he died as a result of long bouts of health issues, diabetes in particular.

Butterfingers, I noticed that a famous name from 67 was missing. Was Mr. Logan not invited as we can't compete with him...and wanted the advantage? Or is it that he just can't make it...hope all is well.
Did Botox close his eyes for that Par?
And finally, where are we playing...remember I'm from out of town...just the name...no directions...I have in my head!
Linda P. Went to Bryan through 4th...loved Mrs. Mason...moved to the farm and went to Pease with Roe and RW...then became a ZOOMIE! What a school that was.
Remember...Tonight - Dinner...7 P.M. El - Downtown... of BS to go around!!! If you are late...who cares...come any way. ...don't use the late work excuse...we are mature enough to handle the real " WED" truth...!!!

annette the Lionette,

We should write a book about our life as Zoomies! It would be sort of like a story of strong bonding with a little Stephen King mixed in. We did have a lot of fun doing half-time shows during football season. Didn't we? And, as I remember it, we were good. A lot of our Debs and SOC Band members came from the
BIG Z.

Part of my time at Zumwalt is a little blocked out of my mind. That's mainly because I was so scared of going to new schools. But, once I got over that silliness, things were fun. I learned a lot about growing up while there, and I have never forgotten that.

By the way, I had a secret crush on you from the 8th grade on...
I didn't get to know you until either our junior or senior year in school. We ""clucked & crowed" our way through classes after that. With all of the chicken clucking and crowing, you'd think we would have laid an egg. Actually, I probably have laid an egg a few times.

By the way, I didn't know until recently that Z's band director, Mr. Lintz, died a few years ago. I read a blog that a Bryan Adams student wrote mentioning it. We all had a love/hate relationship with Mr. Lintz. I sure hated to hear that he had passed on. He played clarinet in the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra for awhile. During that time, his wife died in his arms. He left the orchestra shortlly after that. I learned this from a Channel 4 News anchorman from the 1950s-1980s, whose wife was in the orchestra. I was deeply saddened to hear that news.

I actually graduated in '67 but I came here to look for someone in the class of '66 and noticed that Don Gaines had passed recently.  Does anyone know what took him?  I remember seeing pictures of him in a wheelchair but never knew what was wrong with him.

Be aware that W. H. Adamson High school is holding their class reunion this weekend at the nearby OMNI Hotel on Luna Rd. It is for the multiple class years of '62 through '65.

Maybe we could arrange to have a "rumble" in the parking lot of the I2 Building between the DoubleTree and OMNI? Like "Westside Story"!

Ms. Linda P., there is so many younger guys because they like to hang with us mature types. They followed us around in the halls and locker room wanting to be like us.
We are trying to show them the game of golf. With the help of Smiley and Hughes, we will take their money Friday and teach them how the big boys play.

We started out at John Neely Bryan then went to TL Marsalis then on the Zumwalt and SOC.  Lots of different schools in there and lots of different people around. Lots of friends.

Thanks for the explanations/spelling corrections. Actually, I was wondering who signed Boude StorEy on the GB.  There were alot of us that went to John Neely Bryan.  I walked to elementary school and jr. hi. (OWH), but I'd never let my grandkids walk to school these days unless it was with an adult.

I had Miss Stamps for Spanish in the 10th grade.  She would stick her hand down her blouse and adjust her bra.  Jean Cadenhead sat behind me in class and would try and comb my hair; which got her into trouble and me, too.  I was afraid of Miss Stamps, but I was afraid of Jean, too, but in a different way.

Why does one gold team have 4 members and the rest only 3?  Does that give the 4 team members an "edge" over the others?  I don't play golf, but I have driven the golf cart when others were playing.  Unfortunately, I drove it over the green and the folks I was with were very softly yelling at me to get off the green.  That was my one experience driving the golf cart.
