Here's an update on Richard Carter, since having back surgery:

"Thanks.  The operation was a success. I immediately lost the constant intense pain radiating down the back of my legs.  The pain I have in my back from incision trauma reduces slowly each day.  They are now using a new drug something like Journeyvet every 12 hours.  Isn’t an opioid.  Maybe I’m an experiment.  Using a walker and have visiting nurses.   Will see neurosurgeon on Oct 15.

Sandy - Very nice job of getting all those pix of our 60th posted. Thanks to all who contributed.

After taking a closer look at #7, with Judy trying to hold my gut in, it reminded me of that old tune, "She's having my baby ...". 

And, yes, in #33 it does appear that Mike Davis is promoting his best behavior. [biggrin]

I posted all the pics last night.  Today I was adding the names on all the pics.  Got to within 4 of having all of them done and then . . .  suddenly the pg flipped, knocked me out and ads popped up. I sat there in disbelief.  I was so mad, wasted all that time.  Never had that happen before.  I will go back and put all the names but will wait a bit until I get over being so angry.  [mad] [confused]

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone again at our 60th. I tried to ensure that I made the rounds and greeted everybody at least once. I was also glad to speak with Charles Moss on FaceTime while the phone was being passed around.
My only let-down was that my phone died just as I was arriving and it wouldn’t recharge. So, I didn’t get to take any pix of my own. Thanks to Judy Harris-Carpenter for sending a pic of the 2 of us. I’m anxious to see the others SNL is trying to get posted.
Thanks to the vets I spoke with who pledged to provide military pix for the slide-show. And, thanks to Louis Langford who volunteered his Navy service info for our roster.
I hope to see all of you again at our next spring gathering, if a mini is scheduled. 👍😎🫡

Greetings - This is being sent to all vets on e-mail distribution list and posted on SOC ‘66 GB for max exposure. 4 items in general:
1. E-mail failure notices received for Bill Nelson, Donnie Fox & Bill Byrum (Teubner). If anyone’s in contact, updated e-mail & cell# needed for all.
2. I’m pleased to report updates to our roster & slide-show in progress:
Tom Jarvis - Army pic from ‘Nam rcvd.
Rusty Powers - USMC info & pic rcvd.
Dane Thornton - USMC pic rcvd; awaiting info.
David Kyle - Info & pic being collected.
3. Tips received from Sandy (SNL), Charles Moss & Gary Dagley regarding Dane, David & possibly Larry Peterman much appreciated. Anyone know of others, please get in touch.
4. We’re still missing many military pics for vets in the slide-show. If you’re one of the vets who hasn’t sent one, or a spouse / close friend who knows they’re missing, please submit a pic ASAP! It’s only 6 weeks or so til Veterans Day, Nov. 11th, and I’ll be updating the slide-show for YouTube beforehand.

Place: REUNION is this Saturday 9-26!

Comments:
We're almost there. Want y'all to know about the Breakfast the hotel serves each morning.  No, not a Free breakfast but, it's usually $12.99 but they'll let us have it for $10.  If you're staying a the hotel come down and tell them you're with the "SOC 60th Reunion".  That's the key words.  You can just have her put it on your hotel bill and pay it when you check out.  However, I asked really nice and they agreed that any of us NOT staying at the hotel but wanted to come back over and have breakfast with our friends before saying goodbye could do so at same price.  I will be there by 8:30 to 8:45am Sunday morning and hoping to visit with anyone who comes down to eat before leaving.  Remember key words are:  "SOC 60th Reunion"

Breakfast has scrambled eggs, two meats, potatoes and French toast.  Also has a yogurt, fruit & granola section, cereal and milk section and pastry section.  Something for everyone. Not a bad deal.
