Place: Powderly TX Comments: I was so sad to learn of Annette’s passing. I have so many fond memories of her. We shared endless hours of jokes and laughs as kids. She and I worked for my mother’s non-profit on nights and Saturdays. I always knew she was destined for comedy at some point in her life. I know she is up in heaven making everyone laugh! My heartfelt condolences to her husband and family. She will be dearly missed.
Place: Annette Forston has passed away Comments: Unfortunately this post will be somber. Our classmate, Annette Forston Franjie, has passed away. Her long-time friend, Ann Hoose, called yesterday to let me know. I was not in the ofc yesterday so unable to post. Ann said Annette's husband called her Wednesday morning to say Annette had fallen again a few days ago and had now passed away. She wanted to be buried next to her parents here in Dallas, so services will be here. No arrangements are available yet and he will let Ann know as soon as they are available. Annette had been suffering from memory issues for a number of years and about 9 days ago she fell and broke her femur. Surgery followed. She fell again recently and then passed away. My sincere condolences and heartfelt sadness go out to her husband and 3 brothers. RIP sweet Annette.
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you to the SOC '66 supporters who post and to those who "look" but hardly ever post. You are appreciated and I'm looking forward to the Fall and a big Get-Together of us '66ers far and wide!

Place: Donations Requested Comments: Thank you Don Lincoln for the reminder and post on Memorial Day!! Yo are appreciated! Below is a repost of the donation request. Friday, 5-22, in the mail I received Donald Millican's donation check for the SOC '66 Reunion Fund. He reminded me while at the Get-together that we had not asked for money since the big gathering in May of 2022. Lots of you donated that day and we were good, but that's 3 years ago. Several of you always send a donation each year without me asking, but it's my fault for not asking! ![]() If you haven't donated in 2 or more years, please do as I'm in the process of putting together a 60th Party and the website & GB still cost money each year. Make check out to: SOC '66 Reunion Fund. Send to me at: 2801 Ashbury Dr. Richardson, TX 75082.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Greetings all – Here’s the link to view the YouTube slide-show for all known SOC '63-'67 vets whose lives were lost in Vietnam: I've sent this separately to the SOC '66 vets e-mail distribution list. Please remember to fly your flags today and observe a moment of silence as a tribute to all our fallen classmates. Best regards to all. – Don

Place: Richardson Comments: Lucky - You rascal, haven't heard a word from you in years. Yep, some days I'm amazed that I'm still here and upright. Other days, I feel like hell. But every day is a blessing and I just keep going. I'm afraid if I sit i idle too long I won't be able to get it back in gear! Take care and check in here for our next party or 60th celebration!! |
