Comments: Jack, I thought the Eisemann Center was very nice. It is so much closer and more accessible than going to the Dallas Music Hall at least for me. The sound was at least as good if not better than the Music Hall. The two actors who perform all the parts in the play speak loud enough but some lines are lost when the audience laughs over them. The parking was $4 if you didn't valet park. Leaving was much easier than the Music Hall also which becomes very congested. I would definitely recommend "Tuna Does Vegas" to anyone. Last day is this Sunday.
Comments: Jack, I'm just reading the past few pages and it seems the @#@$ has hit the fan between you & KMD...and flaming at that. And just to confirm, Rick did not expose me to his family...and I didn't expose myself to them....I''m just sayin'. Mary Ann & I are still mourning over Michael, as I know Tommy Barr is and many others. (hope you're doing well Barr.
Comments: Was this your first trip to the Eisenmann, KMD?? What was your impression? Could you hear OK? Is the parking still a premium?
Comments: Ok - well I just got caught up on the GB - been working with a bunch firemen all week in Richardson who actually have not really given me such a hard time about my height! or as you have pointed out lack of it.....I owe you Karen and John S.
Comments: Ada, thanks for taking my call. It was great to talk to you and am so glad to hear of your progress. Please call James and say hello to your mom next time you talk to her. Love you...will continue lighting candles at mass.
Comments: Private note to Jack...although I had a different kind of flambe' in mind for my upcoming birthday, I will try to accommodate your request. Tonight, I am getting an early birthday treat as Mike is taking me to see "Tuna Does Vegas" at the Eisenmann Center. Great Texas humor in the "Tuna" series of plays. If you haven't seen any of the previous plays, ("Greater Tuna", "A Tuna Christmas" and "Red, White and Tuna") you are missing some great laughs and maybe seeing some of the people you know depicted.
Comments: Rick, I got your email regarding David Drake of my class. As of 2008, he was not on our "missing list". We had him with an apt. address on Coit Rd. in Richardson. I hope he is doing well.
Comments: Rickypoo - done. I just sent you & JS an em.
Comments: John S and SNL I sent you a email with no subject, so please open it anyway.
Comments: Had a nice lunch w/Bobby Jones yesterday. He went to C.O. & B.S. then his parents moved to the Kimball dist & he grad in '68. A good friend of his frm sch is Sherry Edwards Reagan, she went to B.S. & then her parents moved to Highland Park dist. Bobby remembers many of you on the football teams as he played in CO & BS. Since his older sis, Joetta SOC '64, wasn't interested in any of it . . . he gave me SOC football programs from the Fall of 1960 thru 1963. Also BS football programs, as well as many issues of The Storey Teller! Even issues of the Oak Cliff Tribune! I think many of you BS grads frm 66 & 67 will have afield day with the pics & articles in them. As soon as I can get a little bit of time I'm gng to scan several of those pics as they are of lot of our friends way back in Jr high. Bobby was very generous as he only kept for himself the '68 related stuff & he gave Sherry all the things she was pictured in. She was a cheerleader & apparently a straight A student & in everything as her pic was in nearly all of the Storey Tellers from her 9th grade yr. I have memorabilia that is gng to make the class of 61 thru 67 very happy. So, from the class of '66 "THANK YOU BOBBY JONES for being so thoughtful & sharing these treasures with us!!
Comments: KMD, I got an email from Don (L) that try as hard as he can, he just can"t make it up to Saxie to deliver the flaming sack to celebrate your birthday. He asked if I could "fill in" for him. As much as I hate not to be able to help when a friend requests it, I am also not available. If you could do me a favor and make a collection from your back yard, place it in a paper sack (if you can find one), place it on your front porch, set the sack on fire, ring your doorbell and run around back. I know you go to bed early, but if possible perform the act after dark. If Mike is home you can make him answer the door, if not please act surprised when you open the door. Report your disgust on the GB the next day. Don gets his laugh. I get credit for helping out and there is no harm done and no one is any the wiser. Let me know if I need to provide a sack for you. (small, medium or large) Thanks for your help.
Comments: Jack - Of course Rick met Tinker Bell, Snow White & all the other 'characters' - he was on the 'left coast', right? ![]() JS - I guess our cover is blown & we'll have to find a new target for the 'flamin sack-o-poop'. KMD sez rumor has it that The Woodlands is somewhat closer than her new doorstep in “Saxie” - hmm ... ![]()
Comments: Well, that is understandable. You can't expose your family to Mr. Nance. No, the gals I was speaking of are the other princesses. You know, all the other famous Disney female characters, Cinderella and such. Did you met Tinker Bell??
Comments: Jack, Mickey sends his regards, he remembered you and asked about your health, as did Snow White. Goofy was there and lives up to his name. I went to a animation class and Goofy was the model for our drawing, now I know how to draw his face. There were a lot of high school girls working at the park, are those the gals your asking about ? I would have called Mr Nance if I didn't have the family with me.
Comments: Sounds like a great trip, Rick. How's my old friend Mick doing?? I has 10 when I went to Disneyland. Did you get to meet your hero, Goofy? Did Snow remember me? Did you met any of the of Gals?? Do you have any pictures of your and Mare with your ears on?? Did Nance dodge you again? You know he did that when I was out there too, Seems to be a pattern forming. |
