Sammy -  I've not been to Branson but I've seen numerous posts by other SOCites from other classes talking about how it's an annual trip for them.  You may want to post this on FB & if I can "share",  I will, as I'm friends with many from 63, 64, 65 & 67.  Bet you'll get some good info.

Yes indeed!  Also, R-e-s-p-e-c-t, Boot Scootin' Boggie and any Sly & the Family Stone song. I don't know why loud music and open windows/sunroofs make us feel good but, it always worked at Kiest Park on Sundays!!  [cool]

Sandy, that makes me smile thinking about you driving around with your sunroof open listening to β€œBorn to be wild.” πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†

I bet you are going stir-crazy Paul.  I've been quarantined for a year and I'm going nuts, you've been quarantined for at least a year and a half.  Maybe 2 years now?  I'm glad you're at a good point in your chemo & recovery and I know getting back out and going to the gym will make you feel better.

Heck, sometimes on these pretty sunny days, I open that big sun roof, turn up my favorite song on the radio and just drive around.  Sun, music and fresh air just makes me feel better!

The above Leprechaun is how I feel after getting my 2nd shot of Pfizer vaccine!  It makes me happy and even happier to hear how many of our SOC friends are also getting the vaccine.  Brighter days are ahead for all of us!!

That's good to hear Dale.  Very glad y'all & your cows made it, especially the little calf.

And yes, while being quarantined for so long it seems neither of us can pass the pantry or fridge without stopping to see what's there.  Not that there's anything new, I think we're just bored. Of course, once you've looked at the cookie jar .  .  . what the heck . . . just one or maybe two. If this pandemic isn't over soon I'm going to need some bigger pants!

SNL, We came through the freeze Ok. Our power was off and on but held temps in the house, barn and well house so we had no busted pipes. We kept the cows bellies full of hay and range cubes and they suffered but came through OK. We had a calf born a few days before the -3 degree night and it was jumping around every day. We have burned about 4 cords of wood and are probably responsible for the food shortages at the stores. Can't pass the fridge without grabbing just a little snack. Glad to hear y'all did well also.

We're good Yuvonne but have been wondering how yo & Dale were down there in the extreme cold & off/on power. Hope you didn't suffer too much damage to your pipes or your cattle!  I listened to the funniest commentary by Bob on FB today.  It was regarding Coke . . .  need I say more!  He is hysterically funny!!!

Ada - Thank you very much for your Valentine's Day card!  The weather slowed down our mail delivery, but it eventually caught up. [thumb]

This note is for Mario Fuentes and Larry Thomas.  I noticed you both mentioned something about your spouse or marriage recently:

Mario - You mentioned meeting Barbara in an elevator on Feb. 14th back in 1979, so that was a special date.

Larry - You said your 50th anniversary is coming up April 24th,  so, you and Susan were married in 1971.

Would appreciate a 1-liner containing the location and any special circumstances you'd care to mention about your wedding day.  If OK with you, I'll add your entries to the listing of anniversaries and post an announcement on the guestbook when that date arrives.

Anyone else out there who isn't in the birthday or anniversary listing and would like to be, just drop me a note here or use the e-mail link in the above right corner. [comp]
