This is the current link for the SOC '66 Military Vets slide-show on YouTube (includes some later photo submissions):

If you want to view Alvin's slide w/o having to sit thru the entire set, start the video, mouse over the timer bar at the bottom, click & drag the red ball to minute 13:40, release, and let it continue.  You can also click & drag it backward or stop the video on his slide.

I know the feeling Larry, I'm on 4 different county site wait lists plus 2 different City wait lists.  I'm really hoping this week will be my lucky week!

Thank you Don and Sandy for the info.  Alvin had tragedy in his life.  He was married to a young lady who once went to SOC, but I think moved before graduating.  Her name was Linda McCollough (sp?) who passed away at the age of 55.  I had no idea that he had served in the US Navy that long.  Thanks again for the info, and stay safe.  I am now registered in three places in Dallas County, have not heard from any of them yet.  It cannot be soon enough for me.

I'm very sorry to hear the sad new of Alvin Roger's passing and share in with you all in sending my sincere condolences to Diane and the family.

Sandy alerted me by e-mail, since I'm not on FB.  I can confirm that Alvin was a Navy vet of approx 13 yrs, based on this entry in our SOC '66 Vets' Roster:

Larry, to the best of my knowledge, Only Connie McKee (Ronney's wife) has died due to covid.

Yes, Alvin was in the military and Don Lincoln will have all the details.  He will be posting here soon.  Alvin has had some heart problems and been in hospital couple times because of his heart but his wife said he had a heart attack this morning, 1-29-21, and passed away.

Sandy, can you or Don tell me if he was one of the military veterans.  I thought him to be an extremely nice guy.  Also, was the heart part of a Covid problem?  Do you have any numbers on those of our friends and classmates who have passed because of this awful pandemic?

Our class has lost another classmate today. This morning Alvin Rogers passed away due to a heart attack.  He was a good guy and will be missed.  His wife, Diane, post the below message on FB this morning.

"I lost my best friend this morning. Alvin passed from a heart attack. I had him for such a short time but I loved him with all my being and I know he loved me and that's something. Love you honey.... "

Oh Paul, don't worry . . .  I would never!!  You see, that's a little "friend-to-friend" inside fun and he knows it comes from my heart.

How about Pauly Waddle Fiddle Faddle???  Nah . . .  too long!
