Comments: As many of you know, in a moment of weakness ( had I been drinking??) and with the (?)encouragement of my lovely bride, I gave in to Pool Guy's nagging and agreed to take up golf. My 1st round of lessons are over. I am now the owner of a set of clubs, a bag, balls, tees, gloves, towel, socks and shoes. I have bought and played (very well, I might add) the Tiger Woods video game. I have visited many golf course sites to see where I apply to get scores from them. I have scoured the Internet to find a place to acquire my handicap. And I am prepared for the pounds to drop off and "feeling better than I have in a long time" to happen. Nope. Nada. Nothing!! I am beginning to think this is like that gym membership I had a few years back, you have to really go there and USE the equipment. Go to a golf course and use all this stuff to see results. Is there a course that has lights?? Can anybody get me a 10:00 PM tee time? Maybe just one drink before the game to relax me.....

Comments: Good morning to the class of 1966...and all the ships at sea! I have been noticing the amount of discussion on the Federal Health Care Bill...better known as H.R 3200. Instead of having others...especially the left side of the fence tell me what is inside this piece of legislation...I have started reading it to ensure that I know what is really in this piece of legislation. If you are interested, do what I did...go to the Internet and downloaded a PDF file for myself. So, if you are interested...please become informed and go to the website...WWW.Thomas.loc.gov and obtain your own copy. The time is about 2 minutes to download the PDF copy. If nothing else, there's plenty of comic material in the makings which you should be able to use. What about your comic career...are you appearing anywhere?

Comments: Southworth when the community organizers in brown uniforms with Acorn on the lapel come to my house for census I plan on hanging Obama posters everywhere in the house. Comments: Please try to bear in mind that all this discouraging public chatter about the proposed government mandated health care plan is likely to put a damper on President Obama's birthday celebration on August 4th. Let's all try to cut him some slack and lighten up. What if it was your birthday and the President went on his blog and started raggin' on you. What if the First Lady went all whacko and started twittering her pals about YOU on your special da? It could happen. Think how you'd feel. Gee, if you get this worked up over healthcare, you're liable to go all street rat crazy when we come around to collect your guns.
Comments: SNL, thanks for the update on Christie's husband Bill. You and I and several others witnessed what a sweet and caring husband he was to Christie, especially in her final days and despite being ill himself. It breaks my heart to hear that his health has worsened. I will certainly be in prayer for him and all the family.

So far I have 6 YES & 2 NO for brunch on 8-15. It's gonna be an eatathon!!!
