Thanks for a great home page, SNL!!
I posted the Oct. gathering on classmates and contacted some "new" members there.
OK, all of you who are planning on playing or attending the BMF Tournament on Oct 2nd, how about going to the website and signing up NOW? You don't have to pay right now (but you can if you want to) the dead line is Sept. 25th, but I'm sure Don and Barbara would like to get a head count and a feel for the turn-out. What could be better than spending a October Friday afternoon, outside with SOCites and friends?

I'm waiting for the heavy rain to end so I can put my flag out this mrng.  As the pictures depict on our front pg . . .  Let us never forget the horrendous assault America suffered 8 yrs ago this mrng!  May God Bless the people of New York & all the many families who suffered the loss of loved ones on this tragic day.

God Bless the USA & may we each do what we can to support her & what she stands for!

In a normal year we may have one;maybe two cases of misappropriation of funds by the school bookkeeper, treasurer of  booster club or youth orgs. Nationally, our average invoice is $2K. California is $9K. It's nothing to have Cal invoices for $40 -$60K per account.

This year, so far we have been advised by school auditors, presidents of booster clubs and Gym Owners of 150 cases where the money in the cheer and dance accounts are not accounted for.

I have dealt with town sheriffs and the California D.A.'S office providing proof of delivery and copies of invoices and any email correspondence. Our sales reps send me newspaper clippings almost weekly of arrests due to embezzlement and theft. Guess it's the economy and temptation with all the cash involved.

Dandy Don L., are you saying as I walk down the fairway in my Loud Mouth Golf Slacks at the golf tourney, I should not walk backwards?

Before I retired from the CG & left New Orleans in '96, we had one last major blowout during Mardi Gras.  I recall a large gang of cross-dressed trans-characters parading down Bourbon St. wearing just about every inconceivable hideous costume you can’t imagine – wigs, make-up, masks, feathers, heels, boots, bikinis, leather, whips, chains, boobs & butts, plus other “accessories” from French Quarter specialty shops.  They looked like a major collision of what Richard describes as the inhabitants of Laguna Beach & that extra-terrestrial saloon scene from Star Wars.  I think the ones walking backwards were 'trolling'.  Til Susan posted that link today, that was the last time I saw anyone wearing those golf pants!

Anyone realize today is the last time all of us will live to see 09-09-09?

Anyone care?

Tell you all something tomorrow about my job. Thirty years working at the worlds largest manufacturing of cheerleader uniforms, cheer and dance camps and championship events. I have the West and Midwest Region.

It'll knock your socks off when I tell you the money issues we are having with these schools youth orgs and gyms. Get ready.

See ya on 10-3!
