Comments: Thanks Richard, Doug is a good guy. I hate to hear the bad news. We lifegaurded together as kids and later him, Mick O'Riley and I shared an appt. in N Dallas. Doug was a lot of fun to be around. Prayers needed for this great guy and his family
Comments: Buddy, he is apparently in ICU having fought cancer for over a year. They've called in his family from around the country....doesn't sound good.

Comments: Jack, you know it's strange hearing about death-beds, illness, etc. about a "kid" you haven't seen since they were 17 years old. That's the last memory you have of them and it somehow seems more tragic...I don't know why. But, this whole cancer, diabetes thing seems to have quite the grip on our generation...maybe they always did and I just didn't notice so much. You have to wonder why the medical field has been unable to cure anything since polio...in the 50's. I suppose they figured out they haven't made any money on polio and won't make the same mistake on other diseases. Is that cynical?
Comments: Toni, you beat me to the punch. I was thinking the same thing. OH, BTW, our ringer can't join us Sunday, she has to be at work at noon. Should we tell or leave it up to her who she is?? Richard, saw your post on the 65 site. I didn't know you went to their prom too. Sorry to hear about Doug Hutt. He was a nice guy.
Comments: Toni - I've never been one to shy away frm a dance floor whether it was crowded or I was the only one on it. But can you imagine being on that floor with all those hot spot lights, wearing not much more than sequins & having the 3 critical judges scrunitize your every move!!

Richard - I give kudos to anyone who gets up there & is able to at least make an effort to do the rehershed steps! I'm afraid if I had to stand on that dance floor with all those people surrounding me, 3 judges watching every move I made and knowing millions of people were watching o TV . . . I think I would freeze up & not be able to move, much less remember all the steps.
Comments: Its been raining here for the last 3-weeks off and on, the ground is so wet that you sink in when walking on it. 4-Wheelers are the only transportation in the pasture without getting stuck. Lucky we have a lot of room for runoff. If the good Lord willing & the Creek well you know I plan to be there. Hope to see all.
Comments: Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Linda and I greatly appreciate them. I am still trying to figure out why she has stayed all these year, I have given her so many reasons for not to. I figure 39 years isn't too bad considering I asked her to marry me on the third coffee date we had, which was on the third day we had really known each other, and were married 6 months later. She did turn me down the first time I asked but relented about 30 minutes later. Sure wish I could remember what I did in those 30 minutes ! I did wait to ask her out until I bought a new Ford truck and her family drove Fords, maybe it's for my truck.
