Comments: Happy Jack- You have to go way back to Storey. 7th grade I do remember buying candy for Kathy that Christmas. I think when it was all said and done I had eaten most of the candy. One guy I met Cloyd Pinson (65) who at the time was crazy over Kathy's sis Pam, that I became real close to at the time. Cloyd was a special guy and later dated his step sister at Storey and Tech. Cloyde was KIA in Vietnam. A real good guy

Hey Kathy, I understand that things come up. Buddy Capps has been buggin me about have you on our team. He is claiming that you were his FIRST kiss. He has been REAL vague with the details. Kathy were you there when this allegedly happened?? As we have found out from his fish and golf stories, sometimes his memory does not stay with the facts. IF it is true, was it his Jr or sophomore year and was it the result of a debt you owed or a cruel trick played on you??

Comments: Jack, Sorry, but I just found out today I have a seminar I have to attend the 1st and 2nd, so I'm out. I was so looking forward to seeing all the guys in their "girlie", colorful, outlandish outfits!!! I'm sure there will be pics for all of us to enjoy.

Comments: Let me see if I can catch-up on GB & shed some light on a few posts. I sent em to Cynthia letting her know our class is having our semi-annual Get-Together on Oct 3, so we won't be able to attend the SOC luncheon she & Martha are hosting. Toni - Congrats on both accounts! Looks as if last part of 09 & 1st Q 2010 will be a big one for new Grandones!! To ALL- Bec not everyone reads GB daily I want to expand on the Brandon Michael Fugate Project aka BMF Project. Most of us, thank God, will never have the need to come in contact with a Search & Rescue team! Unfortunately, Donnie & Barbara's family know all too well how it works. What they found is the men & women on these Search & Rescue teams are volunteers! Also, they have to buy their own equip! Therefore, their abilities are limited to the equip they can afford to buy. A bond was forged during those cold Dec temperatures at Lake Ray Hubbard between the Searchers & the Fugates. They knew something needed to be done to help these dedicated people do their jobs better so families don't have to go through the agony of a prolonged search. Michael Fugate & his dad, Donnie, decided to do something to help. They created the BMF Project, a charity, to raise money to help buy much needed equip for the Searchers. This golf tournament is only one of the many fund raising events that help benefit the BMF Project. I'm very proud of all our 66 & the 67 SOCites who have registered to play in this tournament!! You can get lots of info abt the BMF project by visiting the website Donnie set up at www.thebmfproject.org Last but not least - JD, the last time I saw that cr cd was when McMakin & I used it at the mall during the 4th of July sales. I swear, McMakin left with it in her purse & no one has seen it since!!!

Comments: Robert glad you got out and were able to do some fishing. I don't think there is any such thing as a bad day fishing. You got to work on that not falling down stuff. You might break something and you don't need that. We're looking for sunshine again today. Maybe the clouds will break later today.
Comments: JD: My goodness. Jacob has sure grown up. I know you are proud of him. One of these days, my son and daughter-in-law will hopefully give me a grandson. Right now, though, my son is trying to get over a nasal infection, bronchitis, and the shingles. OUCH. I don't think making babies is on his mind at the moment. Have fun with the grandbabies. |
Like Jack said, be careful now...you might break something with all that falling down, and that wouldn't be good!
