Comments: Happy Jack-A Butterfingers definition of a lost ball. There is no such animal as a lost ball. Sooner or later that ball you hit in the woods will be found by someone and put in play on the golf course thus making not lost. Or you can purchase such balls at the club house witch or known as reruns. Thus the rerun balls purchased at the club house = minus one stroke per ball when put in play witch allows a due "POCKET DROP" on fairway as needed. The Kid said he understands this "Fingers Rule" but it ain't right in my book.
Comments: Sandy Lynn, we have posted a note on the 63 site regarding a benefit fund Gary and I have set up for Barney "Sonny"Kemp. As you all know he has cancer and is declining rapidly. What everyone did not know is there is no insurance to cover his burial expenses. If any of you would like to contribute to the Kemp family cause, it would be appreciated as the funeral home will not do anything for Barney until it is paid up front. To help the family with this overwhelming cost we have come to the classmates for donations, what ever you could send would be of great help. You can mail the checks to Gary Leverett c/o Barney Lee Kemp benefit and we can deposit them or you can mail diretly to the bank - Landmark Bank, 695 FM 120 E, Pottsboro, Tx 75076 - ACCT# 4180001168 in care of FBO Barney Lee Kemp. Our address is 2044 Flowing Wells Rd, Pottsboro, Tx 75076. Thank you for helping an icon of SOC, who loves the school and friends more than anyone I know. Thanks again.
Comments: While I have learned to be careful of listening to Butterfingers, especially around the golf course, it seems he has been actuate in warning about dealing with the young whippersnapper, Baywatch Capps. First, Baywatch whines about us being able to add KOA to our team, then he starts talking about lost balls. Baywatch, when I first encountered this game and you outlaws 67ers, it was explained to me by one of your minions that you only play by the Capps scripted and 67er approved Modified 67er new rules of golf, which states, in the event of a lost or unplayable ball, not more than 3 minutes must be spent look for said ball or drinking beer. After that amount of time, a substitute ball shall be placed in play in the fairway and 2 strokes will be deducted (allowing for the cost of the lost ball and time) from the score on that hole (while not producing a negative number). And now you blatantly try and recruit away the other two members of my team with some kind of promise about wind in the back (which could be produced by your backswing??) Fugate, I think you had better establish who and what rules we will be playing by and have a Marshall ride with the Capps team scorekeeper!!

Comments: Butterfingers McGee...my apologies if I sounded like the "big cat"! Mr. Capps was just a teddy bear, so naturally older, younger he got 'um all! As for the golf, well, I was really looking forward to getting the ladies tee advantage for Boude Storey. It might still happen at the last moment. Wait! Does that mean Mr. Capps and I would be on the same team???
