I predict future happiness for
Americans if they can prevent the
government
from wasting the labors of the people under the
pretense of taking care of them.

JD, I watched your video. I agree with him.  You really can't put a queen sized sheet on a king bed....I suppose that means something.

I still haven't gotten why there's all this opposition to repairing our healthcare system. It needs an overhaul.  Anyone on this GB could be wiped out with a catystrophic medical bill as it's set up today.  And I have yet to see where any proposal calls for giving up our freedom....that's just bumber sticker talk.  I think almost every president in our lifetime has been advocating repairing healthcare in some fashion.

Jack, I got pummeled by the drizzle relentlessly.  A really bad hair day even for me.

JD, I watched the video of Mr. Rogers.  Every word he said is true.  For the life of me, I don't understand how Americans can give up their freedom so easily.

JD, I took the time to view the video and witnessed Michigan's Mr. Rogers COMPLAIN for nearly four minutes.

What we need is some folks who are as articulate as him, who can present us with an improved plan. I wish he'd thrown in even ONE innovative idea of his own. We need all we can get.

Time is running out if he or others have something to offer up.

Good to see you posting again, Ada Ann. Missed you brightening this place up. Richard, did you get drizzled away?? Wonder where Butterfingers is hiding. It's too wet to dig holes and too wet to play golf, recon he went to visit Farmer Roe?? It's too warm for all the bears to have gone into hibernation already. Toni, did you and Bruce play last weekend??

You're gettin' close Annette!
Ada Ann, it is so good to seeing you posting.  I pray that things are going good for you.
Jack, after that description, I feel like I've been to the fair!

I have a prayer request.  My sister just got home from Pittsburgh where she went to visit her daughter, Jana, my niece. (I just got off the phone with her)  If you remember, two years ago Jana had an operation for a tumor growing on her brain stem.  She's having an MRI tomorrow to see if it has returned, she's having bad headaches, dizzy spells and problems with her legs not doing what she wants them to do. Please pray for my sister, the anxiety that Jana is feeling, for her husband and children and the doctors who will be ministering to her. She has a six year old son and they just adopted a sixteen year old girl.  Pray God's healing hand will be upon her.  God bless and love to you all.  Sandy Mc

Happy Birthday Linda P. Traveling is a great way to celebrate another year.

Thanks Ada Ann. Hope you feel better soon. I know you will be glad when the treatments are all over. BTW, the private pre-school that my younger brother Gary went to was named "Ding-A-Ling". We remind him of it often.

KMD...pic is a slide..I will find it and send it to you.  Canary Drive Private School....for those of us too young to start first grade.  Run by Mrs. Reed (son Bobby Jack was SOC'65).  Dennis must have picked out his own shirt...he always was a sharp dresser.  The hats were for fire prevention week...remember "Fire, fire, oh dear me.  Call Riverside 1....6543".

Happy Birthday Linda!! Coasty Don, a word to the wise. Don't come up to DFW and tell them you want to go to Dallas. That confuses them. They think this one is the only one. Little A, if you haven't been in 30 years, you'll hardly recognize the place. The old Electric building is now the Tower Building and is one BIG food court. Try the Nachos Grande at the Hass booth. The fried peaches and cream are at the Dock in the Embarcadro Building and are worth the long line and $5.00 (10 coupons) cost. The fried butter is in one of the food booths on the Midway. The Birds of the World is well worth seeing and we enjoyed the bagpipes and drum corp playing (you have to check where, as on different days they play at different places). Go by the Texas VietNam Memorial, near the main entrance and put a flag sticker next to Bob Hooks name. Ride the air tram across the park, it's pretty at night. Have fun and "HOOK UM"
