Comments: Now that's the right attitude Jack. By the way, next week's subject...... Gun Control and repeal of the 2nd amendment. Tune in.
Comments: Now Sally, that is something we can agree on, he got it for nothing. Gore gets it for preaching a system he does not follow and makes millions from. Kind of says something about the value of that prize. Barbara, PLEASE don't let that keep you away. A healthy, friendly discussion is always a good thing. While some of us may disagree, we still love you and each other. We hardly go there except when Richard feels the need to whack JD's or my bee nest. And we CAN'T let him down, can we??
Comments: Hey Barb- I have a close friend that's a Dem. 6 old SOCites and him and I went on a fishing trip last week end. After taking all his money at poker we tired and feathered him. Someone mentioned middle of the lake with an anchor tied to the ankles and being an Independent I pulled the plug on that deal. So he had to swim in. But I hope all is well with you and family and still remember you as a beautiful little girl. Barb- The Ford Falcon is no match for the Cheve Vet Cowboys at home on the range. Is it true Mr Vick is a dog catch now in Atlanta
Comments: Hey Barbara Duncan it's always nice to hear from you! We play you guys on Sun, I'm worried!! But hey, UT won Sat, Cowboys had a bye week & all 3 of our NFC East rivals LOST! The sun is shining & life is good!! I got some pics from Shortcake this mrng & I'm gng to try to start posting them tonight. But some of my favorite comedies come on tonight & I need some laughs!! ![]()
Comments: Sally, I just want you to know you have a fellow Democrat down here in Atlanta, which is why I usually don't post to the guestbook either! (And now everybody doesn't need to give me a sermon on how wrong I am...I know I won't change your mind and you're not going to change mine, so let's just agree to disagree.) Sally's right - let's talk football. The Falcons won last night and Georgia Tech won on Saturday, so I'm happy.
Comments: Ada Ann -- what a precious girl your Sophie is. She looks like such a happy baby. I know you'd just love to squeeze her and hold her tight. SNL -- thanks for posting the pics of the last mini. Since I did not attend, I can see everyone who did through the camera's eyes.
Comments: JD- bn out for a while & just read your request. Mission accomplished. Like I said earlier - ya'll take a break . . . look at the cute pic of Sophie & the new 10-3 pics that have been posted. Chill out. ![]()
Comments: Jack, No morals, no moral values ? I will keep that in mind for later! Do unto others, etc. BTW, Jack, how will we determine which wars to start without moral judgement? Maybe our President can do that. The last one did. So be careful what you wish for. This president won the Nobel Peace Prize-- not because he has done anything. That is right-- because he did NOT do anything BAD etc. I am going to lunch and I swear to myself not to look here for a while. I need a LONG walk!
Comments: I understand that JD. My younger one's getting married in November and I fully relate to "Father of the Bride"...all three versions. The budget's out the window already. Buddy, I'm not sure I understand your last post either. (just kiddin' you Bud).
Comments: Richard...funny you bring that up...Kathy and I were just talking about that last night. We normally go twice...once in March or April and once i the fall...September...but 2010 brings lots of activity to our house. Our daughter has found a new man and a good one...and because this is now 11 years since her husband died and she feels enough time has passed...we have a wedding coming in February. In addition to the wedding...we have more wonderful news and is equally another gem in that our son and daughter-in-law are expecting our 2nd grandchild in March next year. We should know the gender at the end of October. So having said all of that...we will be broke until June and we never go in the height of heat...so it looks like September. If you were planning to come and visit...let us know and we can plan around you coming to town.
Comments: Thanks RN. I always admired your style as a kid and even today. To make my self clear as a bell you have to ask your self who will run this G-ment Health Care. The same people that were experts on housing and the the stability of Fanny and Freddy. Now they are in a progressive move to take over America's Health Care. The policies being make today in Washington will insure failure to the private industry. Sally you have to ask your self why you, are your company can not go outside the state of New York for a heath care provider at a lower cost. Just one example of many to lower cost. These so call experts in the housing industry, now health care experts. You will have to wake up each morning under G-health care and ask yourself do I feel lucky today. http://www.redcounty.com/sac/2008/09/in-2004-maxine-waters-said-fan
Comments: JD, when's you next planned visit to Phoenix?
Comments: No problemo JD...we just don't want the boys getting curious.
Comments: RN - My apologies SNL would you please remove my post...thanks.
Comments: Well, I think that makes it official, we are no longer a nation of laws. So the powers that be have decided that some drugs are OK, so we will not enforce the law regarding them. The previous 200 hundred years are meaningless, they will disregard any laws they don't like, since they can't repel them. Wonder what's next. Sally, if you are wondering what makes Sandy mad, its the fact that JD and I are still breathing and can form words! Yesterday you invoked morals in the discussion. I take it you propose that the federal government now become the dispenser of morals? Who's morals? Yours? Mine? The government has no morals. Morals require some kind of belief system. IMHO the federal govt should ONLY do the things that can not be accomplished by local or state govts. Secure our borders, defend against all enemies, foreign or domestic, the FAA and the national highway system. I am sure there are a few others, but you get the idea. The dept of energy is a waste of money and effort and we certainly don't need a dept of education. No govt should be a Nanny or Big Brother. Don't require me to wear a helmet to ride a bicycle,(if I rode a bicycle). Less govt is good govt!! |
