Comments: And now for something completely different. Follow this link. Just when you think our world is getting crazier and more violent, you read this from today's NY Times Obits...sent chills up my spine and it's from and act in 1949; it will get your attention. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/20/nyregion/20unruh.html?ref=obituaries
Comments: Yes, Donna is truly a class act and I admire what she is doing. But, Donna, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back!
Comments: Barbara D - Do send me a new pic of your Grandone. I have one more in queue for next wk then my supply is empty!! I post them in the order in which I recv them. I said a few wks bk when we were discussing the "economy" & whether it is rebounding or still a depression . . . your point of view depends on whether you have a job or not! I also think our political views are affected by the way we were raised & our surrounding environment & job status. The posts that are the most passionate are usually done from personal experience. My hat is off to my friend Donna Rexroat in Terrell. I too have worked fulltime all my life (43 yrs & counting) & hope to collect some of the money I've paid into SS & Medicare. I pray they will survive because for millions like Donna . . . that's all there is. God Bless you Donna for the big heart you & your dtr have for taking on the job of raising her 3 grandchildren, & in your case, your great grandchildren!!! Ya'll are amazing!!!
Comments: Capps, if you hadn't addressed your last post to Southworth I would have never understood what you're talking about...again. So, here's one for you: "Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel". The point being...it takes some thought & time figure out your posts...I love it.
Comments: Sandra -- what are you planning for your swimming pool? Barbara DB - I'm sorry, with most sports you have to be specific with me. Who is the Boston College QB? Glad to see you post; it's been a long time (20th reunion) since I've seen you.
Comments: Great Barbara! Then we will expect to see you around here more often, adding to the fun, except when things get political. Richard, I think you are displaying that West Coast attitudes on the dobbie subject. Maybe you have just don't remember (what causes that??) the late 60's and early 70's when we truly came of age. Me thinks you are a LONG way from being alone. BTW, Alice, how was the moon??
Comments: Buddy - saw your note. Fortunately for us we now have a nice little Boston College Jesuit-educated quarterback who is turning out to be the complete antithesis of his predecessor...and we have a great head coach who isn't going to disappear in the middle of the night! I think Philadelphia is still trying to figure out what to do with Vick. Jack - saw your note too. I appreciate what you say, but I've rarely seen any political issue be discussed sanely; people tend to get rabid and I just don't buy into that. Somewhere along the way we lost the art of conversation and now it's just people trying to out yell each other. So other than stating my support of Sally, we'll just do a "no comment" when it comes to anything political. But that doesn't mean I don't still love all my SOC friends and my family, all of whom are die-hard Republicans! Sandy, I need to send a new picture of my grandson to post. He's 16 months old now and of course is just adorable!
Comments: JS- need a AAPL in portfolio. Ride the IPhone with a stop, adding shares. Target 250 mid 2010 make Momma happy. Go to the bank with a wheel barrow. your pal Berney Madoff
Comments: Ada, she is so adorable! I know you wanted a grandbaby so bad! And a Corvair! Now we just have to get you that car! Got to go! Sarah P. just posted on FB again and I haven't read it yet!
Comments: I love freedom of speech ![]() Sophie is a beautiful little baby girl. I know you are so proud
Comments: OMG, Ada Ann! Sophie gets cuter by day! I will be showing her picture to new grandson Luke (now 4 months old). I just know they could have a future together. lol SNL, I also enjoyed seeing the pictures from the mini reunion since, like Linda P., I couldn't make this one. Had to work that Saturday after taking off for the BMF Project golf tournament the day before. All you guys and gals look terrific. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Comments: Hey Barbara, it is great to hear from you. I know there are some like minded people out there. I hear from a few when JD goes wild! There are many who just won't get into the mix because crazy stuff like Hitler and Mao and Stalin and Glenn Beck are inserted. I guess I am still an optimist and think a real discussion can be had but. . . It is hard, if not impossible. We could actually learn from each other--okay, I guess not. PEACE OUT!
Comments: "Thankful in Terrell", don't know who you are. But there is a large group of people who are proud to have you as a friend. If you enjoy the outdoors, riding in a golf cart, I know a bunch of guys that would love to have you join us sometime.
Comments: Good post.
