Ronney, my prayers are with you.  It sounds like not only was she a big part of your life, but you were also very important to her.  The Lord will guide you in making the decisions that you must make.  Love you!

SAD evening tonight. My Aunt Mildred Atkinson, who has been living at Grace Presbyterian Village, had a massive stroke while the retirement home residents were having an Octoberfest celebration. She is now in a comma at Baylor Hospital. The doctor said they can do nothing for her. She is on a respirator now, but I, having medical power of attorney, did not order her taken off the respirator. I know my aunt and uncle in Florida (who also have medical power of attorney) want to get here to see her first. The resporator is doing all of her breathing, and she is completely unresponsive. She half raised me and has always been like a second mother to me. She and her late husband had no children and considered me to be their child. I am deeply sad tonight. I cannot imagine life without her. She was my dad's little sister. She is 89 years old and has early stages of Alzheimers. This is as emotionally hard as when I lost my parents!

She was making fun of her brother for wearing white socks with tie and a coat with sun glasses in the summer, him and his friend. Jack, I am so remiss, I failed to bring you a trip gift from Mt Rainier. I will try to remember you next trip to the Smokie Mt. in Tenn. Marilyn is planning the trip as I type.

Buddy, I don't know what your affliction is with the west Texas high-school Red Raiders (who's mascot is always dressed in black?), but at least you are able to get The University's initials in the proper order. I am sure that one of your English teachers during your stay in the DISD system taught you proper  capitalization.  It is U.T., from The University of Texas. Unlike your rivals aggies this weekend (who has to go to school to learn how to farm?) who can't seem to understand that just because in their school Texas comes before A&M, that doesn't make it T.U. Just because Oklahoma doesn't bother to be correct when referring to their school OU (University of Oklahoma) doesn't mean our schools should lower their standards!
