Comments: Ladies, please! That maybe Glynda's only quite time. Toni, I hear you. I laid some sod Sunday night in a hurry and pulled a muscle in my back.  Better be careful, your boss might forget you work for her. You maybe retired sooner than you think.
Comments: Ouuuucch! Poor Toni! Mind the doctor and don't try to test that new driver until you are fully healed. I guess Jack is going to have to come up with some kind of "apple" to dangle in front of Glynda that would lure her out to the links.
Comments: Karen, unfortunately I'm on the sidelines for a while. It seems that I have really messed up this time.....I tore some muscles around my rib cage....ouch! My doctor says that I'm down for the count for about 4-6 weeks! And to think, I just got a new ladies Taylor Made Burner driver! We will have to get together for a round of golf after I heal! So far, we haven't been able to even get Glynda to the golf course to drive the golf cart but we're still working on it!
Comments: Thank you Jack for defending me...sorta. Dale, for your sake, I do hope that you always have Yvonne walk in front of you whenever the two of you go hunting. 
Comments: Now Dale, who in their right mind would trade a set of golf clubs for you?? Well, McGee has so many sets he might, IF you can move dirt or plant grass and oblay.
Comments: Karen, Mike got a new set of clubs for you? Wish I could make a trade like that! 
Comments: Ronney, I know it was hard for you to let your aunt go, but it was a great and gracious act to allow her to end her pain and be with her Father. You can be at peace that she is at peace. Love and blessings to you and all your family. Even though it was quite windy today, Mike and I had the day off and we went to the golf course to hit balls and putt today (with the great new golf clubs that Mike got for me!). Bruce and Toni, we have got to play together again. It was too much fun at the tournament. You too, Jack. Have you convinced Glynda to try it yet?
Comments: I accept the compliments on behalf of cutie Emma. I had nothing to do with her being here, but I am looking forward to spoiling her and the twins over many years to come. Joyce has really gotten in to that part. She is with either the twins or Emma almost daily.
Comments: Ronny, I'm sorry about your Aunt, I know that's a tough experience. About that life support thing...my brother & I had to do the same with our mother. I think it's the "living will" where you can instruct doctors to either pull the plug or keep pumping air into your lungs. Any thoughts on that? Now Mary Ann's always calling our doctor about me and telling him "we'd better just let him go". He points out that I'm actually quite healthy and maybe we shouldn't rush into it (I can drive folks to that sometimes). But in reality, I don't want exteme efforts taken....once I've been frozen, of course.
Comments: Jerry T, let the spoiling begin!! Mary, Roy and Ada....belated birthday wishes. Hope you all had a great one! Shortcake, how is cleaning out your refrigerator hectic??? Some people are so spoiled.
Comments: Ronney, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your aunt. Like SNL said, it's really hard to say goodbye even though you know she's in a better place. Let us know about the arrangements as soon as they're finalized. Much love to you and your family.
Comments: Ronney -- I'll be praying for you and your family. You are lucky you had your aunt for such a long time and she was such a presence in your life. JD -- Congratulations on the upcoming birth of another grandson and the wedding of your daughter. What alot of wonderful events to look forward to. Ada Ann -- has it snowed at your house yet?
Comments: Ronney my thoughts & prayers are with you. I know how hard it is to let go of someone you love, especially when they have Alzheimer's. I watched my Dad slowly slip away for 15 yrs. I think at the end, we were both tired & worn out. Tell God how you feel about your aunt & ask Him to pass it on to her. You know He will.

Comments: We took my Aunt Mildred Atkinson off life support this evening. She lasted about an hour and a half before passing away peacefully. We will work on the funeral plans tomorrow. Looks like we will most likely have a family graveside service. We are then wanting to have a Celebration of Life memorial service at Grace Presbyterian Village, where she has been living. Don't know just what day this will be on. We are sad that she has passed. However, it is a blessing. She was 89 and had Alezheimers. This has stopped her from having to suffer the later stages of the disease. But, I will certainly miss her. Thanks to all who have e-mailed and written condolences on the GB. I appreciate it very much. |
