Any of you lisbonites see the news last night about the toilet paper problems at Lisbon Elementary School? It seems last year they really did run out and the D.I.S.D. Warehouse was also out of stock due to budget constraints.

The excuse this year is the kids are stuffing rolls of it down the commodes and stopping up the toilets, so they now have teachers accompany the kids to the bathroom and give them only a few of what the teacher deems "necessary".

Good grief, I had had some visuals. D.I.S.D needs to "wipe" the slate clean and re think what really is a priority. I mean who wants to see kids scratching their itchy butts from not completing the job in the first place.

Well, D.I.S.D. is definitely on a roll!

Shortcake, we should all be so lucky...lol!  Linda P, I remember the old geezers always comparing their illnesses....we are now those old geezers!   Karen MD, Bruce wants to know when you and Mike can play a round... I think I can still chip and putt and I can really drive a "mean" golf cart...I've got that down!

I believe that Glynda told me that she looks forward to Jack playing golf - peace and quiet around the house - she can do anything she wants with him gone!!!

Toni-not hectic cleaning out freezer - taking pictures of all those guys - just really wears a person out

Well, now, since the conversation is now focused on old bags, little putters, pulled muscles, and in my case, my left knee is a little swollen and is aching right now.  I'm afraid it might affect my jazzercise and I'll be going to the natatorium with the old folks doing water aerobics.  Remember in the olden days, we used to talk guys, sex, and rock n roll?  Now it's our aches and pains.

ok, Jack...you were right..don't rub it in!!  I gotta say that this pain rates right up there with child birth!  Sandy Mc, I know what your pulled muscle feels like too.   I managed to pull a muscle in my back shortly after child birth some 36 years ago!  I hope you feel better soon.  Karen MD, I got to test that driver last Saturday but it's going to be 4-6 weeks before I can use it again.  I didn't do this playing golf although that reason sounds better than the real reason.....lifted one of my dog cages...shouldn't have done that....compounded the problem by helping the carpet cleaning service pull the rug from under my leather sectional sofa...really shouldn't have done that!  Bruce says I can still drive a golf cart though!  He's such a caring husband!  And I'm such a devoted employee; I've only missed a half day at work!  Stop making me laugh, Don!  It hurts to do that too!!

Annette - You can get even for that 'Old Golf Bag' remark with the response: "Yes, I hold his little putter".

My husband has fun taking me golfing. He loves to introduce me to everyone as his "Old Golf Bag."

Toni, I told you so, didn't I??
Sandy Mc, did you ever think that might be MY only quiet time??
Really, I've asked Glynda if she was interested and she has said no. A really good day for her is curled up on the couch with a good book.  The sun gives her a headache so I try and keep her in the shade as much as possible.

Ladies, please!  That maybe Glynda's only quite time.
Toni, I hear you.  I laid some sod Sunday night in a hurry and pulled a muscle in my back.  Better be careful, your boss might forget you work for her.  You maybe retired sooner than you think.

Ouuuucch! Poor Toni! Mind the doctor and don't try to test that new driver until you are fully healed. I guess Jack is going to have to come up with some kind of "apple" to dangle in front of Glynda that would lure her out to the links.

Karen, unfortunately I'm on the sidelines for a while.  It seems that I have really messed up this time.....I tore some muscles around my rib cage....ouch!  My doctor says that I'm down for the count for about 4-6 weeks!  And to think, I just got a new ladies Taylor Made Burner driver!  We will have to get together for a round of golf after I heal!  So far, we haven't been able to even get Glynda to the golf course to drive the golf cart but we're still working on it!

Thank you Jack for defending me...sorta.

Dale, for your sake, I do hope that you always have Yvonne walk in front of you whenever the two of you go hunting.

Now Dale, who in their right mind would trade a set of golf clubs for you?? Well, McGee has so many sets he might, IF you can move dirt or plant grass and oblay.

Karen,
Mike got a new set of clubs for you?   Wish I could make a trade like that!

Ronney, I know it was hard for you to let your aunt go, but it was a great and gracious act to allow her to end her pain and be with her Father. You can be at peace that she is at peace. Love and blessings to you and all your family.

Even though it was quite windy today, Mike and I had the day off and we went to the golf course to hit balls and putt today (with the great new golf clubs that Mike got for me!). Bruce and Toni, we have got to play together again. It was too much fun at the tournament. You too, Jack. Have you convinced Glynda to try it yet?
