Toni, Shortcake & Sandra Mc - Prayers all around for you & your families - hoping to hear more in the way of encouraging news very soon.

Sorry to hear the sad news about Doug Hutt losing his battle against cancer.  We weren't close friends, just acquainted, but I remember him as a decent guy.

My brother, Doug, is scheduled for another 3 rounds of 'RICE' chemo starting next week.  Each will be an all-day treatment in the hospital.  Test results were good recently, but they need to beat this thing down a bit more for him to be eligible for bone marrow transplants, thought to be his best chance for recovery.  He was in good spirits when I called earlier this evening to wish him happy b'day - #60 & praying for many more.

Kathy & I picked up a dose of ‘LA swamp crud’ (bronchitis) while visiting relatives over there for Thanksgiving.  We had to postpone our trip to visit our new grandson this week, but hopefully our meds will have us germ-free in time to try again next week.

I have extra firewood stacked in the garage in case White Xmas reaches the TX hill country early.  That might call for some extra strong Irish coffee to celebrate the occasion, since it’s such a rare sight down here.  Y’all stay well, warm & safe up there!  ~ D & K

Dearest Toni,
My heart and prayers go out to your family, and we pray for a healthy, happy, and safe delivery for baby and Mom.
So sad to dear about Doug even though I didn't know him, he sounds like he was a wonderful person, and the loss is heartbreaking. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Condolences to Doug's family.  I didn't know him, but I always thought he was so handsome.

Prayers for your family, Toni and for Brian, Sandra.

This morning I heard an advertisement on the radio for Wynnewood Village at Illinois and Zangs!  I thought I was having a flashback!

I did a bad thing this morning.  I went to Joanne's.  All their Christmas stuff (cute, cute, cute!) is 50% off!  I'm a baaaad girl!

Toni, the prayers will continue for Traci and the baby to come through this delivery successfully as I know they will. Know that all of us are with you and your family.

Well I hope I don't miss out on another "snow" tomorrow. All I know is when I drove in to work yesterday around 9:30 a.m., there were faint flakes and no accumulation on the streets, and when I next looked out around 4 o'clock, there were no flakes and no snow anywhere on the ground where I work in Murphy. But I guess that's the good thing about snow in the Dallas area. It usually doesn't stay around long. Now where did I put that sled?

A tribute to a friend

As we honor the life of Doug Hutt I can not think of anyone more fun to be with than Doug. A true sense of humor that could make you laugh till the side hurt. This was so true even thru the battle he could not concur. Now Mickey O'Riley and company are blessed with the laughter of Doug once again.

In the summer of 67 we worked together at Redbird swimming pool. One of the big funnies from Doug was making a decision : after he had dove in the pool from his guard stand to save a kid that could not swim, his swim suit had dropped to his ankles from the dive. Now this was a decision to make, kid or swimming pants. A Hutt classic story only Doug can tell. Later on Mickey, Doug and I shared an apt. together (Let t'em good times roll brothers!). Doug had story after story from DC and tales of MP'ing on the DC front. A true master of story telling he can not be replaced.

My prayers to Doug's family; we are truly blessed to have crossed paths with Doug

Jack, please take pictures of the snowball fight!

Just an update - the doctors are taking the baby early tomorrow morning as Traci's b/p continues to rise.  Her health continues to be the main focus right now - doctor told her this is very serious.  The doctors say the baby is in good condition - he's just really small - only about 3 lbs.  Please keep the prayers coming.

WHAT is the matter with you, Karen MD?? This is Texas. ANY snow is a snowfall. Can't believe that we had one before the frozen barren northland did. Must be a sign of global cooling. They say we may get more early Friday morning and it could be "heavy". Where should we meet for snowball fights and snowman building??

The snow was beautiful this morning.  It snowed for several hours and the flakes were as big as silver dollars.
Toni your daughter-in-law, gran baby and family will be in my prayers.  Karen your family will also be.
Sorry to hear about Doug.  His family will also be remembered.
Brian is doing better, has a long way to go. May have some answers after he goes to the Pulmonary Specialist. Thanks for asking.

It snowed really hard here in E Richardson this mrng for abt an hour!  It did accumulate on our shrubs & grass, but alas, it turned to rain all too quickly & melted.  But it was sure pretty while it was snowing.  If course it was only abt 36 - 37 degrees, so no freezing.

So sad to hear about Doug's passing. Prayers go out to his family to find comfort that he is now painfree and in great Hands.

Prayers too for Toni's daughter-in-law as well as Shortcake's family members and Tommy B's mom. Hopefully all will have a good outcome.

JD, I don't think you can call a few snowflakes whirling around for a few minutes with absolutely no accumulation (at least not in Sachse or Murphy) a "snowfall". You will probably still have the first "real" snow before we do down here in Texas.

Prayers are in line as is candles being added to my list...

Jack, that is not me as the SNOW ANGEL...but I do have a snow blower for rent...and just a note...I'm glad to see that you guys finally received the first snowfall rather than me.

And yet global warming is upon us...just ask the man in Washington.
