Congratulations Bad decisions make good conversations: That is why Fingers can hold a conversation with this crowd. I think he is down in Houston this week end taking in the Southern vs Texas Southern University game. We all know he likes his football. Potato Couch Boys- Happy Jack, Coasty Don, myself, etc on the agenda today Gators vs Bama this afternoon, the nite cap Neb vs TU and Sunday in the PM the Boys in New York City. So enjoy your football boys and yes the budman is pulling for the Hornies
Comments: Toni -- What a beautiful name Hudson John Allen is. Even though it will be awhile b/f you can hold and squeeze him tight, it must be something you are looking forward to. I hope that Traci continues to do well. What a blessing to your family a new baby is. Don -- I pray for your brother's healing and that the doctors know the right treatment to use. About 2 1/2 years ago, I began to have what I thought was acid reflux and went to a specialist at Methodist Central to get treatment. I had an endoscopy, everything was good, and he put me on medication (I tried several). For all this time, I've had either hurting in my back or my belly. So, after not getting any relief, I went to UT Southwestern (where I used to work) and went to a specialist there. He told me after hearing my story that he didn't think that I had acid reflux, but bile reflux, and gave me a prescription that cost $10. It "fixed" the problem, and I'm not uncomfortable like I had been. I went to him Thursday, and he told me to take the medicine as needed. Sometimes, it's the doctor you see, and if your problem doesn't get any better, see another doctor. I'm glad that I did. I wish I hadn't waited so long.

Comments: Toni, great news indeed!!! Congratulations on a new Grandone!! Now I'll pray the doctors can get Traci's bp down & get her out of danger. I know it's been a long day for you & Bruce, but keep us posted on her progress. Can't wait to see the pics. I have no others in queue, so can post right away.

Comments: Sound the trumpets!!!! We have a new grandone - Hudson John Allen - 3 lbs. 6 oz. He is one of the larger newborns in the NICU!! He fooled even the doctors....he came out breathing on his own but they hooked him up to the breathing machine so he wouldn't have to struggle. To give you an idea, most of the preemies can wear their father's wedding band as a bracelet. He was a sight to behold with a head full of brown hair. The angels caring for him said he looks like the linebacker of the NICU! We were so excited that his older brothers got to see him briefly but they won't see him again until about the end of January when he should be able to go to home! Traci is making very slow progress and the doctors continue to work to bring her b/p down. It's going to take a while apparently. Thanks to all of you for your kind words, your continuing thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful....pictures to follow.
Comments: The brain doesn't work as well as it used to so I will just say i hope all that are hurting or feeling bad or facing trials and tribulations find hope and peace and please know you are in my prayers. There are so many wonderful people I went to school with that I feel I am so blessed and I hope you all have the most wonderful holiday season ever. Please remember: God is the reason for the season. To my "special angel" you are such a wonderful caring giving person. I am so fortunate to call you a friend and what you have done will never be forgotten. Thank you and God bless you.

I will keep Doug & his family in my prayers for good results!Toni, please let us know as soon as you can how Traci & the new G-baby are doing. All of you will be in my prayers. I can't imagine what ya'll are gng thru worrying abt Traci. I can tell you from experience, the Neonatal ICU is a place staffed by angels! They work miracles there!
