First of all:  Buddy, you wish!

Secondly,Jack, JD is by now fluent in Spanish so he may very well answer in that language anyway.

Thirdly, for those of you that chastised me for buying Yuvonne hunting stuff for her birthday and not getting her something feminine and personal I would like the record to reflect that I took your advice and went to Victorias Secret at the Mall and purchased for her one of those new "Cross your Navel Bras" that are for women our age. Thanks for the tip.  DWS

All you Sandys:

Would you do me a favor?? Please take your name off your answering machine. Just have your number. Please do it right now. My wife is looking at my phone now.
OH, JD could you answer your phone in a foreign language and not speak an English until you know it is not her?

Thanks to all for your (and it is best for all of us) help!

Sandy Mc's I hope I don't loose my "Catfish Charlie", "Big Boy Overalls", and "Cold Duck Wine" endoresments over you. The boys will most likely make me play in a foursome by myself now you put the word out. If you have to go to jail try Chico's Bail Bond. SNL's preferred recommendation

I am sick and tired of looking for a job. So, I have made a major decision. I am now on Social Security. I will now also start my retirement benefits from Belo Corp. (my 13 years at The Dallas Morning News). I have an inheritance coming up before too long. And, I don't want to sit at home. I love working. So, I just landed a job in the meat market at the Kroger that is about a 5-minute walk from my house (30 seconds by car).

One thing I am looking forward to is a fairly stress-free job. Every job I have had since graduating from school has been ultra-high stressed. The major and minor news media is killer stress. Proposal management isn't much better. This new job will have some stress. Would be boring without it. But, NOTHING like the stress I have worked with for so many decades. I am looking forward to this. And, I will only have to work parttime. Will be nice having a day off every now and then without having to spend my time looking for work.

I cannot put into words how relaxed I feel right now. I had two Uncle Franks (O'Bannon and Davis) who were both in the grocery business when they were alive. They both owned their own stores. They would be proud of me working in the grocery business.

We’re finally heading to Atlanta to visit Chad, Meredith & our new grandson, Declan!  We leave this evening & will return Sun. afternoon.  Would've gone last week, but we've both been sick & didn't want to spread it.

Great looking pix of Hunter, Sophie & the Gruble/Nance wedding - very nice!

Y'all be sure to wish Gary Dagley a Happy Birthday on Sat., 12/12 & I'll catch-up with a belated wish after we're back on 12/13.  Take care!  ~ D & K

Happy Jack-I have a better idea take 4.1 million cars and trucks off Texas HWYs that are uninsured. Dallas Co. the leader in the State at 26% uninsured, that's 1 of 4 cars gone zippo problem solved. [facts in yesterdays Dallas Morning News] I have been told I 35 is the most dangerous Interstate in the Nation. If you drive it much you will truly believe it is the "White Knuckle HWY Ride in Texas." But I too ? 1 Billion in the cost. The same guy that did the High Five is the contractor. At over $400,000 bucks a day seems kinda high for this simple country boy.

Rudy and I have 5 GIRLS -- 3 (high maintenance) are mine.  If they get old enough (30's) and marry a man 20 years older than themselves, they have a destination wedding and just have a big reception at "home."  All paid for by them (his daughter).  Or, in my case if they get old enough (late 20's) and marry someone that's been on his own for over 5 years and has always paid for things himself, then the bride's family's cost is at a minimum.  If all 5 girls had had BIG weddings, we'd surely be in the poor house.  Of, course, my youngest girl is still single.  I just attended a wedding that cost $30,000 and while it was beautiful, it was not "over the top."  $30,000 isn't what it used to be.

Buddy, hindsight is such a wonderful thing!
1st we should hunt down the engineer who designed the 114 /121 intersection and hang him. Then hang those responsible for cramming DFW between 114 and 183. overloading all roads north and south of the airport. After doing that MAYBE they would cancel the "redo" scheduled for 635 and we wouldn't have to hang those idiots. I think they should be required to FINISH all the current road projects (like I35) before they can start anything else!!
