Place: Richardson Comments: No Ronney, it's because you are tired of being quarantined for more than a year just like the rest of us. I get a lump in my throat thinking about seeing my 4 G-kids! How are you doing Ronney? I hope your daughter & son are helping you out when they can.
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: I must be getting old and feeble because I find myself getting a lump in my throat because I miss everyone and want to see all of you so much.
Place: It's Springtime - - - Back to the ER! Comments: Friday, 3-26, I was having my 1st lunch at a restaurant with a friend in more than a year. We called it our "Freedom" lunch! Just about ready to leave at 2:15 & I got call from Don. He had a wreck on his bike and would I come get him & his bike as can't ride home. He was way out off Spring Creek & Preston. Got there & he was bloody all along left side & he said he thinks he broke his collarbone. We arrived at ER about 3:15 and left at 6:25. Found out at ER he had driven his SUV to the Plano Park & left on a trail from there. He does have a broken collarbone and some severe road rash and gashes all along his left side. Bruised ribs too. After getting home & getting him settled my neighbor was nice enough to take me out to the park so I could pick up his SUV. Gonna be a long tedious Spring & Summer.

Place: Richardson Comments: Hey Shortcake, good luck on your wrist surgery next week. Take care of yourself so you & Bobby can hit the road soon. Paul - Glad OK has opened up the vaccine to everyone as well. I saw on FB where Carol C. said KS did that last week. This is all good! Parkland Hospital, which had a special covid-19 ward with hundreds of people very sick & dying since last March, closed the ward yesterday! They have fewer than 25 covid patients in the hospital. The percent of covid patients in all DFW hospitals is down to 4.6%. Before Christmas it was running between 15 to 18%. Better days are ahead!
Place: Kerrville Comments: happy late anniversary to Don and Kathy. Things have been hectic here. We have had our shots but still wear a mask to grocery store etc. I am having surgery on my wrist next week - carpel tunnel. Bobby said just change channels with left hand Had to go fill out the paperwork and get a COVID test. They said paperwork and getting ready for it takes longer then the actual surgery. On the good side the wrist will be better. On a even better side - housework and cooking is out for about two weeks. Cannot lift over 5 lbs. my sister is coming in this week to see the bluebonnets. My youngest daughter, Tammy is coming in for Easter. None of them have traveled much since last year. So glad you guys are all doing good. I know you have missed seeing the grandkids. I know I have.
Place: Edmond Comments: Ditto for Oklahoma.
Place: Richardson Comments: Great News! Announced earlier this morning . . . All adult Texans are eligible for the vaccine as of Monday Mar 29!! Anyone 18 and older can get it if they want it.
Place: Richardson Comments: Don - that was amazing! I hadn't seen anything about it but the things they can do with drones is fascinating. It may not be long before we see drones doing colorful displays overhead instead of Fireworks displays on the 4th of July.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Kathy saw this in the news earlier this week - maybe some of you did also. 500 drones launched into the sky over Dublin, Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Mar. 17th - pretty amazing: https://www.nbcnews.com/video/500-drones-illuminate-dublin-night-sky-for-st-patrick-s-day-108709445780
Place: Sunny & Beautiful Richardson TX Comments: This weekend is gorgeous! Makes up for the horrible Feb. Yesterday was 1st day of spring and today is a repeat of sun and blue skies. Went to my brother's house yesterday to celebrate my SIL b-day. Mango margaritas, hamburgers cooked out on the grill and more desserts than we could eat. We've all been vaccinated for more than 2 weeks and we didn't wear a mask. It was absolute heaven! I felt a freedom I haven't felt in more than a year. May we all continue to fight the invisible killer (covid-19) by getting vaccinated and stamping out the thing that has caused so much misery and death. Better days are ahead, do your part in getting rid of covid-19.
Place: Richardson Comments: Tomorrow is the first day of spring. Hoping for a little less wind & a lot more sunshine! The buds on the trees are a sign of better days to come. There's a light at the end of this dark tunnel we've all been in for more than a year. Hello sunshine!
Place: LV, TX Comments: Sandy & Jack, we appreciate the kind words! Uh, Dale - nice piggy-back. H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Gordy Johnson today, Mar. 18th! Gordy – Hope you’re having a great one today, celebrating another candle being added to your cake. Best wishes for many more to come! |
