Comments: JD - That's terrific news about little Ryan & daughter, Beth! So glad to hear they're both doing fine, in spite of the many tense moments leading up to his birth. If he's been a real pain in the ass, as you've described, I'm sure we're all wondering who he might've gotten that early trait from. Maybe we should continue praying for Beth til he turns 18 & joins the Navy, eh? Major congrats to all!
Comments: H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Rick Watts, at midnight:01, 1/27) !!! Rick - We hope you’ll be celebrating a great one today & that Marilyn will treat you to nice gifts & dinner. Try not to streak the place this year, in case it’s a good restaurant that you’d like to return. Besides, the brisk wind & low temps could affect you like a ‘cold shower’. Best wishes for many more & romp away!
Comments: Hey Barbara D., little Alec is really growing. He was so cute in his Christmas photo from a year ago and even cuter today. Grandones are the greatest.
Comments: Congratulations JD on your new grandson. Prayers will continue for little Ryan and momma Beth. Ada, my uncle had 24 hr. care at his home for about one year. It worked out great, he wished he had of continued to do that. He kept his home in Kessler, but bought an apartment at Edgemere for $300,000 (cash) moved in there, his monthly fees were around $2200.00. Gorgeous place, Tuscan architecture. When he bought the apartment that assured him a place in the assistant living building if ever needed, as well as the nursing facility located at the same property. SNL, I hope you noticed the date on my check. SJMc sounds like you'll need another set of custom clubs.
Comments: Through with work & just put up a new Grandone! Take a peek at the Pride & Joy pg! Also, I know some don't ck the GB everyday, so I'm going to repeat my request. I'm now accepting donations for the cost of our website & this GB. If you'd like to donate, please send me a ck made payable to: "SOC 66 Fund". My full address is at the top of the Donation pg. You have always supported this site & GB and I appreciate your continued support!!! Many thanks to those who's cks I've already recvd!!! Thanks to Sandra Mc and Sue & Mike, who's cks I got tda!
Comments: Apparently there has been a misunderstanding because Mikes Mother, was never in Presbyterian Village North on Forest Lane. Her choice was Grace Presbyterian on Ann Arbor and that is the only facility she was in.
Comments: Congratulations JD on another Grandone! Glad to hear Ryan & Mom are doing good. Those NICU nurses & Drs are wonderful & Ryan is in good hands!
Comments: Ada - Hope you got my email. The first one I sent came back - but I haven't seen the second. My mom's at Grace Presbyterian - the one in Oak Cliff. It is a wonderful place and I highly recommend it. Getting there is a trip - but the place itself is so beautiful and the people are so caring. I know all of us who have had parents and relatives there will say the same - we need a place like this when our time comes. Oh, and lots of money to pay for it!! JD you and yours are in my prayers. Those NICU people are wonderful and do work miracles!!
Comments: Happy for you and your family, JD. Er, no bubble gum for me. regular stogies is fine. SNL, I have a fund raising idea. Go over to the 63 site and tell them if they don't donate generously to our fund we will give them Southworth BACK. We should never have to pay for anything again!!
Comments: Praise God that Ryan is here and doing well. Congratulations JD and I will hold Beth, Ryan and all your family in prayer. I know how grateful and proud you are now. I'll take a bubble gum cigar please.
Comments: Kathy & I would like to announce a new member of our family
Ryan Joseph Garoutte Born 9:30 PM January 25, 2010 Children's Hospital Milwaukee, WI
2 lbs 10 oz 15.5 inches long
In Great Health !!!
Beth's (Mom) blood work took a dive last night and the Dr. determined it was time to take the baby. Ryan is in an incubator and has had to use oxygen until 1:30 today. He will be staying in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for about 4-6 weeks as he was born at the end of 31 weeks...and as you can tell is a little light on the weight scale.
Beth is doing great and will return home this weekend. Now starts the 1 hour trek to the hospital in Milwaukee every day until he can come home to us. But that is better than anything we could have hoped for as he has caused her problems most of this 31 weeks. Nothing catastrophic...just a real pain in the ass.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
Comments: John, that's just more proof of Young being on crack in those days. (that's a pants joke, John)
Comments: Did you see where there is a legal battle brewing between Neil Young and American Idol and that guy currently singing "Pants On The Ground"? Turns out the song was written by Neil in 2004 and he is demanding appropriate royalties. Here is a link to Neil Young performing the song as it was intended: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2WfUzNYPwo&feature=related
Comments: Ada, there is a place in Dallas on Northwest Hwy between Preston and Hillcrest - it's called Edgemere - 8523 Thackey, Phone-214-265-9100. They have an assisted living care center which provides 24/7 care in addition to having individual apartments. It is a beautiful facility - like no other in Dallas. A friend of mine has the beauty salon there so I've had the opportunity to meet many famous and well-known Dallasites. My friend has a new customer which graces the facility on a regular basis - Laura Bush!
Comments: Pants on the ground is one of the ringtones on my phone! Now, has anyone had a 24 hour home health care service for a parent? MIL is really digging in her heels about assisted living facility! |
