Comments: Thanks for that first-hand rpt McGee. That is wonderful news about Dane!!
Comments: I stopped by and visited with our favorite motorcycle officer D.P. Thornton. He has hair, and is doing ok after a month of drugs and treatments. He may go to a rehab place soon. Debbie says thanks for the cards and phone calls.
Comments: Folks, I've just begun a new and vigorous routine of daily workouts and cardio exercises in the hopes and belief I can make the next US Olympic Curling team. I basically sit in my chair and rock side to side while typing on this blog...that should do it. Do I misunderstand this sport? Does the summer olympics include shuffle-board? If so, I'm prepared to sponsor Southworth as our entry.
Comments: Good news all around this morning! Dane's improvement is fantastic news!! He's bn in hospital since 1-29, so this is a great improvement. Let's keep praying for full recovery!! JD - So this wkend is the big event! I'm so happy for your dtr as finding love again has been a long time coming. Congrats & Good wishes to you & your family!! Give my BEST to your Dtr! Coasty Don - Stephanie sd they got a little bit of snow in her neck of the woods. Triplets got to see snow for the first time!! I had sent then pics of our snow & they wanted to come up to our hse cause we had more!! ![]() It's only Thur . . . C'mon FRI!!!!!!!! Ooooohhhhhh... Aretha RESPECT gotta go..........
Comments: SNL - We did get a coupla inches of nice snow yesterday, but some of it started to melt in the afternoon. Then, the residual stuff froze overnight in the areas north of Austin, like us. Our 2 fairly young dogs had never seen the stuff & had a blast playing out on the deck - I'll get a pic from Kathy. The Sheltie almost made himself hoarse barking at the snowman built by some kids on the edge of a nearby yard. I don't think the folks down south of the city got much - maybe 1/2" or so. But they were able to drive into the city for work yesterday & today, unlike some of us up north. PTL for telework! Strange how that weather line worked differently on opposite sides of town, but that's TX for ya. Felt like the old days when snow meant school was closed & we could still eat the stuff, so long as it was white.
Comments: Good news regarding Dane. A friend just got back from visiting Dane. He was able to write his SS# and DOB on a tablet to get him registered for a future activity. He is scheduled to have the tracheotomy and feeding tube removed tomorrow. Keep on keeping on!
Comments: Happy belated birthday to Baby Face Browning and Eileen. Hope you both enjoyed your day like never before. JD, Ryan is so precious. I can't help but think of the Psalm 139 13-16 when I see these little preemies: "For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well, etc." Took off half a day today to relax and enjoy life....and I did! blissfully afternoon.Need to catch up on house cleaning. ![]() Praying for Dane's complete healing. Oh, there's also a wedding this weekend. JD, you're getting all the blessings ![]()
Comments: Happy birthday, Mr. Bovie C.F. Browning, AKA "Botox" May all your wishes (that don't involve me) come true today. Happy Birthday to Ms. Eileen. Hope to see you again soon. Robert; good to see you back on board, whatever type you use. I searched classmates for Sabrina Phillips and she came up in (I think) SOC class of 72. I loved the idea that it was going to cost $100.00 PP but she didn't know where it was going to happen!
Comments: Got a very late entry from Roy Goodloe on the snow pics. I posted his pics to the album, but one of the pics was sent in a long narrow lanscape mode. Sorry, that's how it arrived. Go to: http://soc1966.com/snowview.html to see all the Snow View pics from 8 diff perspectives.
Comments: In this evenings mail I recvd 2 more cks! A big Thank You to Rick W & Barbara DB for their donations!!!
Comments: HB to Botox Bovie...ask him about Marilyn Monroe calling him and singing her famous "Happy Birthday" song...he called me and stated he fell in love all over again... HB to Eileen...com'on...hope you had a great day and want you to visit in June... Mr. Norman...no one cares if you use 50 pt type to send messages on the GB...we still like to hear from you. Thanks again for all the nice comments on Ryan Joseph...he is getting closer to coming home but still 2-3 weeks away...hopefully at the max. Mr. Smiley...it is really nice to know that you have a joke for every topic on the GB...keep it up...even if you do have a very large ICE HOLE in Texas. Knowing the temperature differences between our states...I would think your ICE HOLE would shrink the closer you get to spring and summer..maybe even go away all together...should we ask Yuvonne? I should I not talk like this on the GB. I guess I thought I could use the topic since my friend Ada Ann talked so personally of hers??? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm a bad..........boy!!!
Comments: I think it's being sent by classmates trying to get people to join or rejoin. In my opinion it's a scam.
Comments: Tommy, see my note below. I'm perturbed at classmates for doing this & for trying to scam all of us. How stupid... an alumni banquet for some 20 or so yrs at $100 pp!!! Then to say it was canceled but we can link up with our friends at Classmates.
Comments: Happy Birthday to two very special people....Eileen and Bovie. I hope to see both of you in June!
Comments: Classmates has been sending notices about a Banquet planned by Sabrina Phillips. Today I received notice from classmates it's no longer planned. But it had this notice. But don't let that stop you from reconnecting with friends from the South Oak Cliff High School Class of 1965 All the notices may be sent from classmates to get people to join or rejoin.... If this is their purpose they're going about it wrong. |
