Happy belated anniversary wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Davis as well as Mr. & Mrs. Young!  Sorry this is late but I just made it back...by way of Mansfield - Field of Dreams!  My son and his family really do eat, drink and sleep that all American passtime!   Now to explain about El Fenix...they let us in but made us sit in the kitchen...something about too many blondes on 5/5 and Shortcake getting a little too pushy by telling the manager she knew the original owners!  I only had to climb the wall because Shortcake began crying when they raised the pinata to a height she couldn't reach!!!  If my ankles were swelling it was because....well, never mind!  Thank you Dr. Hawkins for heading up the search party!  JD, thanks for taking up for my ankles...I think!!

Don, so happy to hear about your brother's progress, and Donna I knew they couldn't keep you down for long when I started receiving gifts from you again on Farmville!  Hope you are on the mend.

Hope all the mothers and others had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Mother-in-laws were mentioned in the sermon and how they (we) have been a subject of comedians over the years.  Just wanted to share this:

"Behind every great man there's a surprised Mother-in-law!"  Don't know who said it but my pastor this morning.

Hope all the Mother's and "other" Mother's have had a wonderful day.  It's a privilege.

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY

to all the beautiful and wonderful mothers from the class of 1966

Can you believe we had as much as 3" of snow in the northern part of Wisconsin on Friday and Saturday...we didn't get any...but can't wait till Monday as I will be in SC until Thursday...praying for warmer weather.

Toni, don't know how you put up with all the lies told about you by one of your best friends...shortcake! Partly because I know your ankles don't swell! LOL

Thanks to all for the Anniversary Wishes. We celebrated last week end as I spent all yesterday prepping for today's colonoscopy . Had a good report and don't have to have another one for a good while. Obviously, not much fun but glad it is over.

Happy Anniv to Karen & Mike and good news from Doug L and Donna.

JD -- you have such a wonderful imagination.  Keep on keeping on.

Thanks everybody; we've all been touched by cancer in some way, so every effort we can give helps.  Thanks Rick; I'll remember your offer if we have the garage sale again.

Donna Riley - Glad you're home & at least able to type your own msgs.... !  I read about your terrible fall & ER experience on FB. Man, you really destroyed your ankle!!  Continue to re-coop & I'll keep you in my prayers.

Linda - Good Job!   I've known for the last 5-6 yrs what a compassionate & kind-hearted grp this is!  Many of us have charities we support & participate in outside of our SOC donations.  It's nice to know we are friends with such kind & giving people!!!

JD, good to see you back and that you had a good vacation.
Donna, I'm glad you're on the mend.  If you get to come to the mini, we can hobble in the door together.
Linda, good job!  BO is wrong ... American do take care of each other!

I apologize for not getting on the GB and thanking all for their kind comments regarding Jacob and Ryan. But coming back from vacation put me so far behind that I almost can't think...over 700 e-mails to respond to...what a task.

In any event...thanks for your kind comments...Jacob and Ryan appreciate all the wonderful things you said about them.

Belated Happy Anniversary to the Davises and the Youngs...

Don, am glad to see that your brother appears in good spirits and Linda...$16,000 is lot's of money for such a charitable event...congrats.

Donna, sorry you fell off the horse..have had that happen many times in my life, but then was much younger and my body could take the pain so much easier than if it happened today.

Nothing new here except work, eat, sleep and more work.

Richard was correct that I was sitting in the same chair as the OBAMA RAMA GUY as we ate dinner in AZ...but since the chair tilted so far to the left as the legs were cut off on the left side I knew there was only one person in this country that would do that to the furniture and that was the guy pretending to be the Prez...I was more embarrassed about having my head on his lap as we talked and I tried to eat the meal from the restaurant...I was afraid he was thinking I was making a move on him. Well I wasn't...he is just not as cute as he was with that full head of black hair when we were young...enough said!!!

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone...take care

Happy Anniversary to the Davises and the Youngs. Sorry I'm late. I was leading the search party for Toni and Karen. El Fenix said they hadn't seen them. They don't allow blondes in the building on May 5th!

Happy Anniversary to Geneva and James and Karen and Mike; hope that you had a very blessed day.

I belong to a philanthropic women's service sorority - ESA (which is international) and we had our annual cancer walk in Duncanville last Saturday.  Last night at our monthly meeting, our treasurer shared with the members that we made over $16,000 for cancer.  Last year we gave Methodist Charlton Hospital a check for $12,000 to go towards paying for mammograms for women who do not have insurance or cannot afford to pay and for men's prostate exams who have no insurance or cannot afford to pay for them.  The areas we service are for people in Duncanville, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Lancaster zip codes, although under special circumstances we will help anyone with cancer in any area.  I know that many of ya'll are involved in worthy causes and it's a good feeling to know we help in even a small way to ease someone's pain.
