Comments: Smiley, I just knew that rat story was going to spur you to post one of your jokes....what took you so long? Back at you... "So, a baby seal walks into a club..."
Comments: Mike - Great talking with you this evening & looking forward to catching you in Dallas in the not-too-distant future. But, first things first - get fixed, get well & stay healthy - til then! 'Prayer Bears' - Time to crank it up for Mike - he's got a date with the cardiac surgeon again, 2 weeks from today.

Comments: Sorry to hear about your cat Ronney. That is hard to do. Richard - the snake was in my RV and you are welcome to any and all snakes that are anywhere near me. ![]()
Comments: Richard, Read with interest your Red Tailed Hawk story. Glad you are doing OK. As I read the story I was in hopes the critter you saw being carried away was just a rabbit so I could use my "Receding Hare " line, but I guess you saw the dirty, infested vermin up close enough to be sure it was just a bloody rat.
Comments: Sorry JAda, I forgot to say HELLO, I guess I was so excided about seeing that cat, OOh so close to my house. Don L That is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Comments: Rick - Our 2 dogs trapped one of those cats beside our house a few weeks ago. I had let them out to do their morning business just before leaving for work around 6 am. Instead of going to work, I rescued the dogs & we all got to gag alot while taking a double bath in a mixture of Dawn, peroxide & baking soda. Since we didn't have any tomato juice or any place to buy some, this internet remedy worked pretty well. I later bought some quart bottles of Nature's Miracle at PetSmart, which also worked very well as a special-purpose spray deodorizer. We're keeping 2 extra bottles handy in case our dogs decide to prove the experience wasn't a lesson learned.
Comments: I saw a stray cat on my street this morning, He was black with a white streek down his back and a big fluffy tail. If any one wants him, I will tell you where I live and help you catch him.

Comments: Ronney it's tough to lose a longtime pet as they become part of our family. I had a kitty for just over 20 yrs & when we had to have her put to sleep it really was hard for Don & I. That was in 2001 & we still laugh abt the funny things she used to do & remember her fondly. My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Toonces.
Comments: Thanks, Susan. I am doing so much better today. Got Toonces buried last night. I can see his little grave from my bedroom window. I put a large (really LARGE) flower pot on top of the grave because our little miniature weenie dog likes to dig them up. The little stinker. Yesterday was very difficult. But, today is a new day and I feel great. I miss Toonces, but I realize that this is a part of life. He is still alive in my heart. You are such a good friend, Susan. I really appreciate you.
Comments: Ronney, I'm so sorry to hear about Toonces. Sounds like he was your buddy. I've been through this quite a few times myself and it hurts so much. I wish I could think of something to ease the pain. Much love to you and your family.
Comments: By the way Linda, neither the rat nor I considered this a laughing matter at the time. |
