Don - thanks for the update on bro Doug.  Still praying for his full recovery from these drastic procedures & that they are successful.  What a great dad, made it to watch his kids walk across the stage, even though you know it was difficult for him!!!  Please let him know my thoughts & prayers are with him.

Glad to see so many are coming tmo for the party!!  Gng to hve lots of out-of-town classmatesAs a reminder, PLEASE bring your 40th reunion Name Tag as we'll have some new people & it sure helps if you wear them for at least the first 2 hrs!!!

See ya'll tmo 2 to 6 @ the Double Tree on Luna Rd!!!

Karen, did I miss something in the clean up?  I told Bruce those wine bottles were not candle holders but he assured me they were already on the kitchen table when we got there...lol  Oh well, I guess that's mistake No. 2...ha!ha!

SNL, have you or anyone else heard from Carol Carpenter lately?  I hope she and her mother are okay.

Did Rick run out of gas...we haven't heard anymore from him?  Linda P./Sandy Mc, you all should send out a search team!

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sat.

Ada - I appreciate your offer to chaperon me during the mini.  But, I always have to be mindful that whatever goes on at the mini, never stays at the mini, thanks to cameras, g/b, chatter, etc., - not to menion, having to return home to face the 'War Dept'.

Doug has been home for about 3 weeks & is making a very slow recovery from intensive chemo & stem cell transplant.  He's just started eating small amounts of solid food as of this past week & can keep most of it down with the aid of anti-nausea meds.  He also dropped about 20 lbs.  He was barely able to attend his twins' high school graduation recently, but gutted it out til they walked across the stage & then had to go home.

Still too soon to know how well the procedure paid off, but soon as he's healthy enough, more tests will tell.  Thank you for asking - see you & the gang Sat!

John it is nice to hear you are doing better (though lighter in the wallet  ) and Dru is doing her usual of exceeding expectations.   Give her our best & good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hello to all. Jack, thanks for the idea of signing a card for the sick Southworths but we'd rather you guys just focus on having fun at the party this weekend. Your well wishes are truly appreciated and I will pass them along to my patient.

With the assistance of a Physical Therapist and a walker, Dru managed to get upright this morning and sloooowly walk 25 ft. down the hall and back to her bed. I was impressed that she could put weight on the new knee already.

My root canal situation came at a bad time but it was mainly just painful to the wallet.

On Friday Dru will be released from the hospital and we are hoping that she will be transferred to a special rehab hospital for 7 to 10 days of training and intensive physical therapy (all depends upon Medicare and its requirements).

I tried lugging my laptop back and forth to the hospital, but now I just check it when I get back to the house for a break in the routine. Later, amigos.

PS - I haven't told Dru that Al Gore will soon be back on the swinging singles scene. Don't want her to cut her rehab short.

Don L., Kathy will be missed.  Since I will be alone, I volunteer to keep you in line.  It is a tough job, but someone has to do it.
How is Doug?

I'll be there Sat., but w/o Kathy.  She's helping her boss lady with hospital duty part of this weekend.

SNL - I need to bounce a protocol question off you - will e-mail separately.

JS - No more nibbling on Dru's knee(s) - you're obviously well over the hill for that sort of ... er ... stuff.  Wishing you both a speedy recovery.

SNL, do you have a get well card we could all sign Saturday and send to the Southworths?? For those who don't know, Dru had her knee replaced and John had to have a root canal.
Thanks for the update, Rick. Are you bringing Mare with you Saturday?? I heard that Bovie borrowed Sandy's plaid shorts to wear on the golf course tomorrow. Cold Cash Dagley, were you able to find some to wear too???

Through the SOC Class of 1968 I have heard that there is to be a Boude Storey luncheon at El Fenix Downtown on Saturday June 12th at 1:00 PM. I'll try to get in touch with Ray Ground to see if he can bring Coach Ground. I was told that Buddy and Sammy play golf with Coach Hitt. Wouldn't it be great if they could attend. Spread the word about the luncheon and hope to see as many Eagles there as possible.
