Mr. McGee, footwedge is a proper name and am pleasantly pleased that you have finally admitted that your game does not meet your talk...as foot wedge golf is only played in Texas.

I hope no one from our class lives in Combine TX...unless they are looking for a police job...it appears that they have about 10 openings to add to the other 2 staff members that were retained after the firing of the others.

Jack, you and Mr. Dagley do not have to take any gruff from footwedge McGee...your intellect is superior and the game of golf is played in your head...ask TIGER! LOL!
KMG...am so happy for you...retirement is just around the corner for me and I can't wait!

SNL, your grandchildren are beautiful. I let Jacob look at the pictures last night and he asked me if these were my other grandchildren...he just didn't understand and I may have made a mistake...I think he thought I was giving him up for yours...but as usual Nana came to the rescue and somehow explained the situation better than me. Then he turned to me and said "Thank you Grandpa, I love you" Wow...what a rush!!!

Happy Jack Hawkins, I look forward to giving a pouty look on the face of the Botox Kid and Tin Cup Capps tomorrow on the links. It's a beautiful day with a full Rainbow when one has the opportunity to take their money.
Cable Guy Fugate, we miss your ugly mug and 300 yard drives. I'll toss a few golf balls into the ponds for you tomorrow.
Cold Cash Dagley, heard a rumor you joined the staff at The Potter's House. I hope you Preach better than you putt.

TNX KMD!  Brooklyn is so diff than the triplets!  She weighs more now than all 3 did at her age!   Don calls her the Michelin Tire Baby!    Just look at the rolls on her arms & legs.  All you have to do is look at her & she'll laugh!  We're lucky to have 4 healthy Grandones!!

SNL, the pictures of your grandones are awesome. Brooklyn is a cross between a Campbell soup baby and a Cabbage Patch doll. How do you ever stop chucking her rosy, round baby cheeks? Dylan, Daniel and April are really beautiful kids too. What a fun experience.

Only 6 more days until retirement....tic...tic....tic...

Yep, I'm sure KMD is counting down the days/hours before her retirement!!  I believe her last workday is Sun 8-1.

Lunch time & just remembered I never posted the pics from when our Grandones all visited us about 3 wks ago!!  You can see them on the Pride & Joy pg Instead of one-at-a-time, I just posted them all at once!

We really had fun with them over the 6 days, but on the 7th day we happily waved bye-bye, it was time for REST!  We love 'em to death, but you can only go non-stop abt 18 hrs a day for so long & then you gotta get a little R & R!  Toni knows what I mean.  Toni - are you rested yet???

Happy belated birthday to Karen MD and Karen RL.  Sounds like you two had great days.  Congrats on Karen MD's retirement. Did you ever think that it would happen?  I still work 3 days a week and love the folks I work with, but it would be nice to not have that responsibility.

Saw "Despicable Me" with my daughter and 2 grandkids (7 & 4) last Thursday.  The first 15 min. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but after that and a big bag of popcorn, the movie "took off" and I thought that it was wonderful.

Speaking of peaches -- we went to Waxahachie Saturday and in the summer they have a farmer's market on the square.  There was old timey gospel music played and sung by old timers, wonderful peaches, tomatos (from Tyler), jams/jellies and homemake goods by the Amish (or one of those groups) from Granview.  We bought some wonderful apple bread, banana nut bread and jalapeno/cheddar bread.  It's worth a look.

As you can see  - I am in Cypress Springs - not Colorado!!!!   Don't leave for Colorado until August.  I ate your peaches Toni - it was either that or watch them go bad.......and they were really good.....I used some of them to make peach cobbler - it was good also!     If they are open when I head for Garland I will stop and get some more.  I may run by there tomorrow.

SNL, thanks for giving Jack Sanders my telephone numbers.  He called me last night and we chatted for about 20 minutes or so.  We discussed his accident and I even taught him a way to tell if he had already taken his meds!  He was really appreciative!  He did seem in good spirts and did thank me for the card!  He's even figured out a new way to find his way back home - it involves a large ball of twine - ha!ha!  Thank goodness he has two daughters to look after him.

Karen, I'm counting the hours until my phone rings with our tee time!!

Just got off pho w/Jack Sanders.  It's bn 5 wks tda since the cement truck ran the red light and smashed into him in his jeep!!  He's still gng to PT 3 times a wk, but thinks next wk might be his last wk.  He is having memory problems but hasn't lost his sense of humor.  I said I wouldn't keep him on the pho too long & he said if I did he would probably tell me the same story 3 or 4 times!!  He was cleared to drive but said he goes to get something to eat and can't remember how to get home!  He is frustrated & now realizes this will be a long slow road to recovery.  In addition to all the existing problems, he's now learned he will have to have lots of dental work done as the impact jarred loose some of his teeth!  He will have to have several dental implants!  Keep him in your prayers as he has a long way to go!!  BTW he really appreciates the cards ya'll sent.  He started telling me about them.

Ya'll have a good weekend.  I'm headed to the kitchen as I can hear Johnny Walker calling.  Time to relax!!

Here's the ending to the mystery of a SOC classmate who recently passed away & none of the classes seemed to know him.  Jackie Thomas Jr. was born in Sept 1949 & graduated in '67 from SOC.  He was drafted into the Army in '68.  Unfortunately he was exposed to Agent Orange while in Vietnam & died a few days ago due to the many complications brought on by A. O.  He was only 61.  May he Rest in Peace.

Happy BD to KMD and happy retirement as well.  So, who among the 66er's have managed to retire? (not me), and I know JD has his scheduled for Feb. and Bovie's kickin' back.  I expect to schedule mine for March...I just don't know which year.

Oh yeah, and the honorary 66er, Southworth.

OK Jack, stop trying to be a trouble maker!   I already admitted I was off by a wk on KMD's retirement date!!  For the record, her retirement date is the same day as my Jury Summons date - 8-2!    I'll switch with you Karen!!

Jack I think we can work something out for Mike Dunn!   If he will let me or you know a few days in advance when he's coming in we could have an impromptu gathering on a Sat or Sun at the hotel bar for about 2 hrs & then head over to El Fenix for an early dinner.  We know at El Fenix the food is always , quick, hot & delicious & they don't seem to mind the loud SOC grp or giving us individual tickets.  I would love t see him in person!
