Comments: No, we don't! My favorite new commercial to hate is the one with the young "lady" and the old guy in the stable, who are Cowboy fans and the redskin fan moved in next door. (I think it is an ad for the NFL sports package) Besides depicting Texans rather badly, that "lady" has the worse Texas accent ever. Movies and TV always over-do Texas and Southern accents. I think it is degrading and done on purpose.
Comments: A friend saw "Eat, Love, Pray" and there was the typical stereotypical Texan in there with a horrible Texas twang. We don't all sound like that. Do we?
Comments: Jack, that's how the game is played. First they will promise you anything, then once you show interest . . . they complete ignore you!!
Comments: SNL, I don't know who has my number at this point, Toni or Karen. I'm hoping they are coming to the Dunn thing and I can get it back then. If you have noticed, since I said they could have me, they have ignored me completely. (I haven't gotten my money either) You think they will forget about the curb service part by October too?? JD, had your hat size gone down too?? Probably have to buy a new Cheeseblock hat too!
Comments: J.D. - Congrats are certainly in order for your weight loss program. Losing 30 lbs. is tremendous. However, I am having trouble with your claim of losing 16 inches in the waist. I'm not saying you have a credibility deficit, but could that number be more like 6 inches ... you know, like a typo? Or maybe you were describing your new dress size?
Comments: Cheezehead of the Frozen Tundra, one assumes the loss of a few LBS. you will reacquire your Texas verbs: "Sum Bitch, I'm a fixin too, Where ya At?, Huh? Ya gonna eat that? Kiss My Grits,How Bout Them There Cowboys? Now that the shadow over your golf shoes has disappeared, the golf game must be improving. Come see us Big Boy, we miss your Ugly Mug. Botox Browning 5 putted a par three this week, the boy is pouting again.
Comments: Sounds like the Atkins diet.
Comments: Karen - we had rain south of Lubbock yesterday - but today was great. It's much cooler here and if Jimmie decides to ever quit flying we won't stay in Texas in August either!!!
Comments: JD - Major congrats on keeping up your vigil. You were down 20 lbs when I was in Milwaukee recently & we got together for dinner. For those who wonder how he's doing it, I can offer one clue from personal observation only last month at the Lone Star Steakhouse in Racine. We both ordered beef tenderloin filet, which came with a salad. That's where the similarities ended. I had a loaded baked potato, the warm bread & cold beer. He had a veggie side & unsweetened tea. What a guilt trip, but I got over it & took care of the tab. But, it was good inspiration & I think the Kathys (his & mine) must be comparing notes. I've had more than my normal share of lettuce varieties, chicken, tuna, apples & grapes over the last month or so. Haven't sworn off anything I like, but try to avoid evening meals when possible. So far, I'm only 15 lbs down. We'll see if I can improve on that by 8/28 when Mike comes to town. But, El Fenix may hurt a bit.
Comments: Hi Karen and Jimmie - I am sure we passed ya'll on the road
Comments: JD. loosing 30 lbs is almost like loosing 30 years. I'll bet you feel better.
Comments: JD - Congrats on the 30+ pounds you've lost. I bet you do feel wonderful.
Comments: JD, that's great! How did you do it? Karen, you guys have a great trip. My husband has been working in New Mexico recently and he just loves the weather!
Comments: JD, sorry to hear about your loss.......I think if you check behind you, you'll find it. (that's actually great results and I'm glad to hear about it)
Comments: Hey Mike, I'm looking forward to seeing you too! Bn a very long time. Looks like we will have a good grp of people there to visit with you on 8-28! Jack - Is Toni still holding your number hostage??? Pay the ramsom - you have got to get your number back!! |
