Comments: Rick, sorry to hear about your wife's foot...however, isn't it your responsibility to make sure she is safe...especially at HOME? But I can see why you went to work, had I broke Kathy's foot...She would cut off my...well you know...toes! SNL...I can't say enough about the game in Washington...so I won't say anything! Remember, vote conservative...not progressive if you have a primary tomorrow...and be sure to maintain that vote in November...we need to get the progressives out of office...then present an amendment to the constitution that would outlaw Liberals or progressives, or socialists...or whatever they call them. I mean...offer an amendment to put TERM LIMITS on all of Congress. And finally, Mr. McGoo...you need to clean those glasses you wear...Jack has never bought a dinner for anyone other than his family...and then I believe he makes them pay at least 50% of the time...he's tighter than you and we all know that you are so tight that your bathroom privileges have been revoked, along with your golf cart driving privileges as you haven't seen a fairway for about 20 years.
Comments: Don, I was riding high Fri & Sat nights cuz the Rangers pulled it out for two great wins. By Sunday afternoon after we swept NY I was walking on air . . . then the Cowboys burst that bubble!!!! I'm thinking we need a new Offensive Coordinator, cuz ours is broke!! That's all I'm gonna say, as I hardly slept last night thinking about how stupid some of those calls were!!!!!! Rick - Were you fixing the baluster bec it fell on Marilyn or did it fall on her while ya'll were fixing it? Either way, I think your in trouble?
Comments: Well JD, I had to work this weekend, putting new hand rail and balusters on the front porch. So I had to come to work today just to rest up, If I stayed home Marilyn would probably have me working. Poor girl had a heavy section of balusters fall on her foot and she thinks it's broken.
Comments: Pool Guy - I recommend Immodium before, during & after that 'mystery meat' border meal. SNL - Glad you had a great time last night & hope your spirits weren't dampened by the 'Keystone Boys' showing against the Skins tonight. I may have to take a sick day off tomorrow. ![]()
Comments: Ms. Susan, I will have a place located by Thursday. Due to Happy Jack Hawkins not agreeing to put skin in the game, I'll find a place for us Middle Class folks. My Mexican laborers (guests from Mexico) cook their lunch on a microwave every day. I might ask them to cater for us. One small concern, I have no idea if the meat is goat, beef, or chicken. These guys come from a life we are not familiar with.
Comments: Sandy McG, do you know where you're going for dinner next Saturday night?
Comments: Happy Birthday James!! I guess Pool Guy has been spending too much time with his head below his waist level, flooding his brain with blood, fogging his thoughts! OR maybe he his lost his memory (or his mind completely) Me, pick up a tab?? Since he has been SO busy building concrete swamps for people and knowing that he doesn't want to pay those additional taxes, you know the ones on the "rich" folks, he will bill this "dinner" as a promotional seminar and write off the tab he will be picking up as a business expense! McGee, did you read back on the book about your team??
Comments: Well, I'm moving slow tda as it was a very late night last night, but I'm still savoring the magical night! We went to Cowboys Stadium for a fantastic celebration!! NFL highlights of all 5 SB wins, with lots of ExCowboys there, even Charles Haley! Great footage & excellent music played by the North Tx University Symphony Orchestra. Of course the moment the speakers came on I went deaf! Geeez it was loud all night! However, it didn't affect my eye sight. I still have that wonderful image of sexy Tim McGraw strutting down the runway in those tattered jeans & tight white T-shirt!!! Whooo-weeee that man can sing!!! He put on a great show!!! We drove home listening to the Ranger game. We finished up the night (& early mrng) on the couch watching the Rangers go 13 innings to beat NY 6 -5 in a walk off home by Cruz!!! Nights don't get any better than that!!! Life is good!!
Comments: Happy Birthday, James Pulis -- I remember many happy times being your neighbor growing up and all the other kids on our block.
Comments: James, SNL - I really like the bbq at Salt Lick; the potato salad isn't the kind I make (with mayonnaise and mustard), but I still clean my plate when I go. James, you'll have to go there and decide for yourself. One note: the atmosphere is WONDERFUL, being out in the country. Fortunately, it wasn't as hot (temperature wise) as it has been and we enjoyed being outside. On another note, the Iguanna Grill in Lakeway is the place we ate last Saturday night with the wonderful view of Lake Travis (I think). It's amazing how excited I get over "views." I guess b/c the metroplex is a little lacking in that area. My youngest daughter lives on the 19th floor of a high rise by Preston Center right off the tollway. When the tornado was coming close by, the residents there evacuated to the below ground parking garage. Then the next day 4 vulchers landed on the balcony next to her apt. and stayed there awhile, then 3 flew off and 1 stayed overnight. She has pics; I've seen them. That girl was scared to death, thinking the vulchers would get her somehow. She was calling me and asking me what to do. Yes, she's 25 years old.
Comments: For those that are hungry and bored, our beloved distant golf personality Cable Guy Fugate will be in town next weekend. We have dinner plans Saturday the 18th. The site and time is unknown, Our man of deep pockets, Happy Jack Hawkins has agreed to join us, and pick up the tab. If interested, give me a call. 214 505-1609.
Comments: H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to James Pulis, today! James – I didn’t have you on our master b’day listing, but Ada tipped your hand on the g/b today, so now I do. Hope you’re having a great one, with your feet propped up & curb service in the living room. Best wishes & many happy returns! (Thanks, Ada!)
Comments: JD - I had you & Kathy down for the 21st on my anniv list, but will correct the typo to 20th. Pls tell her H/B from your partner in 'Racine' crime. BTW - How many days left on your 'short-timer' chain? SNL - It would be better if Emmitt was still in his prime with the 'Boys' & they'd just won the Super Bowl again. Rick - If you & Marilyn call-in with a case of 'family flu' Mon., y'all could be 'lucky' all you want & break that curse. ![]()
Comments: RW...Monday is my Kathy's 63rd BD...has always be a very lucky day for all i9n my family as the matriarch has made our family run which will be 41 years on the following Monday the 20th. But if you do decide to stay home...please don't stay in bed by yourself...LOL. HB to James. May all have a great weekend.
Comments: I know Rick, I saw the pic! I thought it was interesting that on another pic she was labeled as Linda Trojacek! But you & I know diff. I would have gone to SOC but, I had a prior engagement to attend a Friends 65th B-day party. It was fun, food, cake, music!! Everyone have a great weekend . . . Don & I are going to head to Cowboys stadium in less then 2 hrs. Going to see the last of the Pre-Super Bowl Concerts & the performer tonight is Tim McGraw!!! |
