H a p p y  B i t h d a y wishes go out to Duane Chafin, for 12/7!  Duane – I guess we’ll always have to rag you about putting your folks thru child birth on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, of all the dates you could’ve chosen from.  Best wishes for many happy returns!

Happy anniversary Barbara and Eddie - and here's to many more!

Our little Hudson can officially ride with his car seat facing the front since he's one year old and weighs 20 lbs.  Thanks for the post Sandy.  Thanks Karen MD!  I still stay grandones are our reward for his killing their parents when they were young!  What a concept!

Is it just me or does anyone else hear the sound of sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too?  And no, I haven't been drinking Don Lincoln's favorite!  There is tonight though!!

BELATED H a p p y  42nd  n r s ay !!! to Eddie & Barbara (Williams) Arnold, on 12/6!  Notes say they became a couple at couple at SOC in ’64, thanks to Eileen Sandifer; formal wedding was at Barbara’s parent’s new home in ‘68; Richard Nance was Ed's best man; they honey-mooned in San Antonio, then lived in Oak Cliff for 3 months before Ed left for the Navy.  Major congrats to both of you & best wishes for many more!

Great new pictures of grandones on the Pride and Joy page. Shortcake and Toni, you girls can be proud as peacocks of those beautiful grandones.

Sad to hear about Dandy Don. Loved him on Monday Night Football. Hope it wasn't the Cardiac Cowboys nail biting game on Sunday that sent him to that Big Playing Field in the Sky.

One of my favorite Dandy Don stories was in Walt Garrisons book "A Real Cowboy". Walt says he was sitting by Merideth on a flight home from a game when the engines failed and the plane started a 45 degree free fall and while everyone else was screaming like little girls, Don just looked over at Walt and said "Well, Little Puddin.... it's been a good'en! The plane engines caught and leveled out and all were fine but Walt knew Merideth was one cool character.

It's all over the noon news.  The great & funny Dany Don Meredith has passed away!  He was a cigarette smoking, scotch drinking & very good Q back that could make you laugh & made the song popular again!   "Turn out the lights, the party's over . . . "

Just saw on the news that Don Meridith passed away Sunday evening. Always thought he was much better than he was ever given credit for.

Don - The Cardiac Cowboys are back!!!  Great game & the 'Boys never quit.  Heck, Kitna even looked good!!  What a nerve-racking finish!!  Loved it!

Imagine this:...The Cowboys learned to ride off into the Sunset, straddled and roped to a depleted colt, injured ,bruised and galloping side to side desperately seeking a quiet place to pray them cowboys away.

That cheese the Bears ate several weeks ago must have been filled with Bear protein.

Don, the prayer mats sell at a reasonable cost...We are giving them to the prophets.....

Just as I suspected - poor little Eli fainted from the pain of being 'clipped'!

New subj: In case you weren't aware (or maybe I'm in the 10% who didn't see the memo) - TX State Troopers are stopping drivers & issuing printed warnings for failure to signal when changing lanes.  I got one of those while on our way to LA for T-Day w/Kathy's family.

I'm a pretty religious signaler anyway, but had to take unexpected evasive action after another driver suddenly hit the brakes & signaled as he changed lanes only a car length or so in front of me.  He was apparently speeding & panicked when he saw a trooper on the road shoulder.

So, the trooper chased me down, let me explain why I did it & issued the warning anyway.  I don't know if all TX law enforcement officers are doing this, but heads-up & get religious.
