Thanks to everyone for your prayers. After spending time with Dad in the ICU today, my sister, brother and I were taken into a consultation room where we were asked to consider whether or not to resuscitate, the possibility that there might be irreversible brain damage and other frightening outcomes for my Dad. When we went back into Dad's ICU room, we heard Dad speak to us for the first time in 2 days and our eyes got big and our mouths fell open. Dad had been unresponsive ever since they had medically subdued him following his bout of acute delirium. It was a wonderful surprise to see him able to respond to us and answer questions. Although he is not completely out of the woods yet and there are more test results coming tomorrow, this is indeed good news. Just wanted to let you guys know how great you are because what the prayer bears can accomplish through prayer is powerful.

As we get older the Guestbooks become more of a mixed bag of good news and bad news. Karen, I'm sorry to hear of your dad's condition and hope all eventually goes well for him.

It's been awhile since Dru and I have been in Dallas - but we will roll into town on Friday and plan to attend the SOC El Fenix luncheon on Saturday at noon (NW Hwy). Hope some of you youngsters show up.

Happy Anniversary to my sweet, special friends, Barb and Donnie. May you have 43 more years and then you can decide if it's gonna work.

I would like to ask a special favor of all our prayer bears to pray for my Dad John Melton. He is in ICU at Baylor Garland and not doing as well as he could. We were at the hospital ER until after 2:00 am last night after they ran many tests and he was stabilized. He has had a number of problems arise especially in the last week and they are trying to find out what is causing his delirium. So far we know he has pneumonia, urinary tract infection and an arterial fibrillation. He also has a compressed vertebrae and severe knee and leg pain. Please pray that the doctors will be able to find the cause and if it is God's will, that he recover and be lucid once again. Heading back to the ICU now. Thanks a bunch in advance.
