With being gone so much this week & all the ice & snow, I forgot to put up a new Grandone.  We have a new cutie that's never appeared before.  So take a break from looking out the window at the snow & ck out Ann Scott's new G-Baby!

We had a good 4 -5 inches when got up this mrng & now abt ano inch has fallen.  Unbelievable!

Girls, Girls, I have no desire to be the manager or owner of a hotel.  But I love the SB experience & wanted to be a part of it.  It's bn tough getting to & fro but fun talking with all the visitors!  Such a shame to have this unprecedented weather for so long & during SB week!! Just praying it will all melt tmo so everyone can get to the SB Sun.

Houston is iced over & in the 20's!  All my customers in Tulsa are experiencing a city wide shut down.  They got tons of snow & everything is closed.  Can't belive this storm has covered most of the US.  Only a few states have escaped it!  So much for Global Warming!!!

Know what you are talking about Sandy - used to be part owner and Director of Sales of the Quality Inn Downtown directly across from the Convention Center in Ft. Worth....it is fun for awhile but 24/7 you get really really tired.  But glad you are getting to experience it SNL and also glad it is you!!!!!

Good mrng ya'll. I don't think I've told any of you what I've been dng this wk.  I've been one of many "Good Will Ambassadors & Greeters" at some of the hotels.  I signed up back in April to be a part of the Super Bowl XLV Volunteers!  10,000 of us doing all sorts of things.  I signed up to work at the hotels. Bn working shifts at the Hilton Anatole, NFL HQ, & a shift at the Omni Mandalay where the Packers are staying.  It's bn a challenge this wk, to say the least, just gtng to the hotel.  But it's bn fun helping confused Packer & Steeler fans find things & explain "where" Cowboys stadium really is!!  I have one more shift in the mrng & looks like it will be ano challenging drive!!!  I took several half day vac days to work at the hotels.  I love the SB & having it in our city is just the best ever, unless of course our "Boys cd hve played in it!!  But that shipped sailed by mid season.

Since I'm a Good -Will Ambassador I'm gng to help ano Packer  fan here.  Must be all that yellow cheese that affects their brains!   JD has a funny Packer song sung by some funny & weird guys.  He was having trouble with the link so I'm gng to post it for him.  I think this songs explains a lot about Packer fans . . .!!!!!   Good Luck Sun JD, bring it home for the NFC

My thoughts and prayers go out to John and his family in the loss of his daughter.  Hopefully your faith in God will help you through this time.

Whoever asked for this weather needs to stop....You people from the north need to go home and take your snow and ice with you!!!   I am ready to go to the lake and cannot even go...at least we have a back-up generator here if the power goes out  - again.

John, I'm praying your heart will be filled with the peace of God during this time and that you'll know He loves you far more than my words can express.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Karen you and your family are in my prayers.

It's starting to snow out side.  It's sooo......beautiful and untouched......so peaceful.  I wish I could stay up and watch it, but I would never get up in the morning.

Ada Ann, thank you for taking up the slack & posting it while i was out of the ofc all day.

Hey gang, our favorite adopted classmate, John Southworth of '63, has asked that I post a brief note to let you know his dtr, Jill, died yesterday evening.  She committed suicide.  John & Dru would like your prayers.  He has asked for no pho calls right now as he tries to process this awful tragedy.  Please remember John in your prayers tonight, this is a tough thing for anyone to handle.  If anyone wants his mailing address, send me an em as I'll be in the ofc tmo.

A post from John Southworth on Facebook:

This is a difficult post but yesterday my 27 yr. old daughter Jill lost her long battle with depression, mental illness and drug addiction. Seeing no future for herself, she took her own life. A private family memorial ceremony is being planned. Please do us a favor and say a little prayer for her soul.

JADA

I don't wish this storm on anyone...really bad...I have a 14-18 foot drift on my deck that has blocked 4 windows upstairs...it is the worst I have seen since we moved back in '71. Hope it is out of steam when it gets to you.

Mr. Pecker.....SORRY......I meant Packer.....we get it after you.  I don't want anymore snow.  So, just use it up or put it in your big lake.  Do you get my drift?

Shortcake...I'll trade your weather (except the ice) any day. Got up at 4 this morning to clean the entrance to the driveway. The plows went by at 3 and placed a swath of snow 8 ft wide and at least 6 feet tall. Took me 2 1/2 hours to clear it...and that's with a 28 inch wide Airen's BIG BOY snow blower...had to drive Kathy to work as the roads had not been completely cleaned. She couldn't get to work yesterday and drove me nuts...I haven't been to work since Tuesday because the Interstate was shut down. We only got 26.8 inches but the wind was blowing 30-40 MPH with gusts at 55 - 60.

So, I am having a SB Party on Sunday...everyone is invited...those that come receive a free meal, a chance at $500.00 cash, free drinks...(money in penny's)...and the warm friendship of myself with a brand new snow shovel to boot. More snow to start tomorrow.
