Don L - Glad to hear you are doing better & enjoying SB Day today!  It's sunny & pretty up here too!!

It's bn a strange & unusual week.  It began early Tue B4 dawn when sleet pelted the area & blanketed us with a layer of ice!  Temps all week didn't get above freezing (far from it ) and to add insult to injury. . .  we got 4 - 6" of snow before dawn on Fri mrng!!  Finally, on day 5, @9:57am Sat, the mercury hit 32*!!  Then the Sun beamed brightly all day!!  Today was ano beautiful day.  Happy to hear everyone made it thru the deep freeze & ready to enjoy this game.  Go Packers . . .  Kick the Steeler's A**!!

It's a gorgeous spring-like day down here on the edge of the TX hill country.  We're snacking & sipping as time approaches for Super Bowl XLV.

JD & others - Check your e-mail for a special note!

P. S. - Mimosas are doing wonders for residual back pain.

Butterfingers, ice melted, you are a no show (again). Made a deposit on your front porch. Can't wait to see your new club set. Did you get the new Taylor-made or Calaway driver with your ill gotten gains?? You might consider a catapult to improve your drives and a pool cue for your putting.

Happy Jack Hawkins,  I've been at the mailbox waiting for my deposit check you should be forwarding. Must be delayed by the weather. I'll be there before the ice melts, I promise.

our hearts go out to Karen, Jimmie and Jana with your loss. And to John and Dru for theirs.  There are no words.

Spent the morning cleaning the 2 foot snow drift off the ice on the the driveway so the sun could work on the ice. Then cleaned the snow off the cars, meaning I got to clear the driveway again. As the ice melted, I cleaned the slush off the driveway so it wouldn't refreeze tonight.  The whole time I kept thinking how wonderful it would be if I had a friend who had some kind of small front end loader, like a bobcat, who would come and make quick work out of this LONG task. You know the kind of friend who wouldn't mind that it is a long drive and burns gas to haul a bobcat around, say from McKinney to Carrollton, knowing that he would be HELPING a friend. A guy who would do ANYTHING for him. But no, nobody showed up. A cheep guy like that probably took his bobcat and cleaned driveways for a price. Probably made BIG money off other peoples misery. Probably will show up at the golf course in the spring with a new, expensive set of clubs, wedge and driver. The newest one that just came out. Oh well, it would have been nice to have a friend like that.

Hey folks!  Sorry it has been so long since I posted as well as seeing a  few of you in Dallas.  I have been working with my Mom as her condition has worsened and it definately keeps me moving around.

I retired in November so I am trying to get used to not getting on a plane daily and flying somewhere stupid to work.  Drastic change but I think I will make it work!

Sorry to hear about all the snow you guys have been having as it is 75 here today and the guy was here cleaning the pool all morning getting it ready for the kids and grandkids this summer.  BTW: we are plannign a family trip to Ireland this summer.  Has anyone been there before and can you give me any pointers on where to go and what to see?

Thanks for the birthday wishes a while back.

Ann, precious grandson!
JD, looks like the Pittsburg Mardi Gra to me  But then everyone "up there" must have permanent brain freeze.

John and Dru,

My heart goes out to you both with the tragic death of your wonderful daughter.  This sorrow is so hard to imagine.  God give you both strength, and good memories of her life.

JD - I like your song - that is really funny .  I am so glad to hear the weather today is supposed to above freezing - maybe you will have a much better day today SNL.  Everyone should be able to get out and have a really great time today.  Having actually been part of the scene in Ft. Worth I know that they can put on a really great show when they put their mind to it.

Have fun - it is a once in a life time opportunity - even with the problems.

SNL...I owe you for your help...and yes the little Packer Ditty says lots about Packer fans everywhere. As a small side note the Packers have as many as 15,000 fans that travel to every out of town game...and are considered one of the best traveling fan base in the entire NFL...

So if you haven't seen or had the opportunity to listen to the Packer Song...go back a few posts and click on the link that SNL was so kind to help me with...it's great and fun to listen to and watch the pictures...try and count how many outfits have some form of our famous "Cheese Head" on their body...it's a riot. Take care everyone...

I can't believe it is still snowing. I thought it was supposed to stop by noon. Somebody please tell the snow clouds we have already had our limit. Move on already!
