Place: LV, TX Comments: Sam - We all tend to mimick whatever we hear in the Dr's office & assume our peers in the SOC boomer community will have no problem decrypting it. Unfortunately, some of it sounds very familiar. Next thing, we'll be scrawling marks on paper that only pharmacists can decipher! 
Place: Coppell Comments: A belated birthday wishes and get the heck well to those from last week. Karen, endure the pain of PT. I can't dance with a gimpy gal. Here's the latest on my treatment. The radioactive seeds implant will not be done. Due to the positioning of my hips, the oncologist said there is a risk of doing damage to both total hip replacements. I will be having radiation beam treatments. I had gold fiscule seeds implanted today, one on both sides of the prostate. Will have a CT Sim 3D scan tomorrow and MRI Sept. 9th. My firstt of 40 radiation beams start 10 days after the MRI. The fiscule seeds will literally glow in the prostate to direct the oncologist with pin point accuracy to radiate the cancer cells without radiating the healthy surrounding cells and tissues. This concludes RBeam Therapy 101. Pop Quiz in 2 weeks.

Place: Cypress springs Comments: Just got home from the torture chamber....wait I mean rehab...one hour of constant pain...this is one of those times that you wish you were one of those people that enjoy pain...they could be really happy right.
Place: DeSoto Comments: Yvonne posted on facebook that she has family in Bastrop that have lost everything. Fire is so scary, you never know what it's going to do. Prayers go out to everyone involved. It certainly put a perspective on life. Birthday and anniversaries wishes for those that have celebrated the past two weeks. Bobby B., hang in...I know you are going through rough times, just keep the faith. We're never given more than we can handle. Karen, glad you're home and doing your rehab.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Folks - We've been seeing the haze & smelling the smoke from multiple wild fires in our area, but nothing in Lago Vista yet. If you have relatives or friends living in Cedar Park, Leander (20 homes lost), Steiner Ranch, near Mansfield Dam (40 homes lost), and especially Bastrop, near the state park (400 homes lost), you may want to give them a check-up call. News reports say the Bastrop fire is 16 miles long X 6 miles wide, plus it & Steiner Ranch are still out of control.

Hang in there KRL, if Pool Guy can have both knees replaced, I know you can do it! But let's just do one & think about the other.
