Place: KC, MO Comments: I was looking in my '66 Den last night and found that I was picturing the wrong Donna when Sandy posted the news of Donna Rexroat's passing. I was thinking of Donna Hott, who hopefully is doing quite well. I did remember Donna Rexroat when I saw her picture, however. Best wishes go out to her family. Good luck to the Rangers! - Carol
Place: Ranger Nation Comments: Yeah!!! They repaired our GB. Now back to normal, I was tired of being centered.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Well, it was left flush while I was drafting it - OK, 50% fixed.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Very sorry to hear the news of Donna's passing. Like Susan, I also wondered about her recently. Prayers & sincere condolences to her family.
Any news of others who posted or came to minis previously, but we haven't heard from lately - Pat Williams (below b'day entry), Eileen Sandefer, Mike Dunn, others?
Carol - Very glad you checked in & we surely missed you at the 45th. Sorry you've been under such a workload all this time.
JD - Good to see you looking very fit in your new slim look - you set the bar pretty high. Glad you were able to take time away from your busy retirement ventures to join us - really enjoyed it.
James - I'm feeling fine, but my batteries wore down a bit. Jack & JD were just getting too engrossed in serious discussion, instead of helping the rest of us unearth the dirt on all those other folks - some pretty close to home.
Richard - Way back before I suggested the idea of a surprise appearance by the Mystics to the committee, your name came up as a possible stand-in band member, in case some of the others couldn't make it. But, since most of the original guys agreed to, it wasn't necessary, so we kept the secret local.
I was unable to count the many surprised faces when folks figured out what was happening Sat. night. But, when the guys led-off with their #1 hit from '65, the crowd pretty much lost it. It was absolutely terrific & I salute David, Glenn, Danny & Robert, plus Al Struble & guys from Chill Factor for all their efforts in making it a reality. Prayers continue for Ron's recovery, as well - I'm sure he hated missing this one, but know he wanted to be there.
My thanks to all the vets who furnished military photos for the slide-show. Still missing some, so consider this a reminder to send yours along to help complete the presentation.
Lastly, many thanks to our reunion committee - Sandy, Barbara, Don F. & Jack, plus Mike F., his wife & Kellie F. - for another great & memorable occasion!
P. S. - I fixed the g/b format also.
Place: Paradise Comments: Thanks Sandy We are getting anxious to see if #8 is going to be blonde. February is a long way off. We definitely plan on coming to the mini. We had a Great time at the reunion. I hope to get to know all of you better. I hope you have rested up since the reunion.
Place: Lighting up a bit in Richardson Comments: Cathy, those 7 Grandones are so cute! I love how 5 are blondes & 2 are brunettes! It was really great to see you at the reunion after such a long time. Hope you can start coming to some of the minis. I'm still waiting for a reply on what happened to the GB. At first I thouhgt it was just me, but then some of you also said something. Hope they can fix it soon as it's weird looking.
Place: LV, TX Comments: BELATED H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to PatWilliams Weatherwax on 10/8! Pat – Sorry for the delay. If you’re lurking out there, we hope this finds you doing well & thatyou enjoyed your big day, being spoiled by loved ones. Best wishes & many happy returns!
Place: Sunny Paradise Comments: Thanks Karen. We think they are pretty special
Place: 66 Wisconsin Comments: I know I'm not as active over the past months on the GB. But it doesn't mean I don't check-in. I continue to light candles at mass every time I red a need. Lot's of you have been named and I apologize if I might have missed one. I have lit one for Donna...as all, a very tragic loss.
I thank the reunion committee and their aids, with great expertise I might add, for a wonderful three days. McGee, thanks for a great time...no one could have done it better. And thanks to Buddy, Bill Jonas & my cart driver and partner...Mr. Fugate for the time shared at the golf outing...it was great.
I nominate Hawkings and Tillery as our official story tellers for the class of 66'. In tandem they are a real pair.
And a final thank you to the many friends who were gracious enough to share their time with me...it was fun and will be remembered.
May God Bless all...
Place: Sachse Comments: Congratulations Cathy on those beautiful grandones. They are so cute and what a great photo of all of them together (except the one on the way, of course).
Place: Paradise, Tx Comments: Thanks for letting us know about Donna. She was very nice. Condolences to her dtr and family.
Place: Rainy Richardson Comments: Susan - I have no idea what happened to the GB. It was fine yesterday at 2:03 pm when I posted, and a few hrs later it looked like this! I sent an inquiry to the GB managers to see what I, or they, need to do to fix it. This has never happened before. Weird.I just finished posting Donna 's name to our deceased list. How sad, the number is up to 64! ![]() But on a light & more uplifting note - I posted 7 really cute Grandones & they all belong to one person! Ck 'em out!!
Place: FW Comments: How come all the messages are centered on the page now? Not that I mind ... just curious.
Place: Sachse Comments: So Sorry to hear about Donna. Carol, you have ALWAYS been a good friend and now you're back in touch! As for Glynda and dinners, I'll let you know as soon as we are on speaking terms again!
Place: FW Comments: I'm so sorry to hear about Donna. Just the other day, I was wondering what had become of her. |
