Place: LV, TX Comments: BELATED H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Charles 'Rick' Mitchell, way back on 10/1! Rick – You reminded me at the reunion, but I had no way to get to my PC (the laptop didn’t have it). But, we hope you had a great one & it was good finally getting to meet Brenda at the 45th. Best wishes for many more to come!
Place: Texas Comments: Wow!! What a great 45th Reunion. I can't remember having this much fun at the previous Reunions. It was fantastic to see the Mystics perform and perform they DID......... Kudos to the Best Planning Committee ever; you pulled it off again. Love and appreciate all the time and hard work by each and everyone of you in making this a Special Event for Our Class of 66. We Love You All
Place: Sunny & Beautiful in Richardson Comments: Linda - I'd love to have the pic whenever you get it. Also, those of you with photos of the reunion - I'd love to have them to post on our website! There were so many people standing up front & flashes going off when the Mystics began playing. . . looked like a celeb had walked in the door. Oh,. . . it was celebrities, it was our Mystics!! Because the resolution on all the cameras is so high now, each pic can be 3 or 4MB. They are too big to send via Em. The best way to send me your pics (if you have more than 2 or 3) is to put them on a CD disc or a Thumb Drive & mail to me! I'll return your thumb drive. I really prefer to have them unedited & full resolution rather than re-sized & reduced resolution. If you have questions, give me a call, I'm in the Directory! But please, send me some pictures!!!
Place: Texas Comments: Ada Ann -- great news; what a blessing. When are you getting to see Caleb in person? Miss Annette - you spoke so eloquently of the 45; my sentiments exactly; you just said it much better than I could. SNL - Told you I'd have a big surprise; glad it worked out. Sandra and I had such fun shopping, gabbing, etc. all the weeks we were on the hunt for costumes. My daughter took Sandra & my pic together; will email it to you if she ever emails it to me.
Place: Richardson Comments: Ada Ann that sounds like very good news. No Chemo & monitor it closely, very good news indeed!
Place: nh Comments: I saw my onclolgist today and she said that I will not have any treatment right now for the lymphoma. I will be followed closely with scans and if there is a big change, then action would be taken. She said that the side effects of the treatment can be worse than the disease itself. Also, once a certain treatment is used, if the lymphoma comes back, that treatment can't be used again...so we don't want to use up our treatment options.
Place: Happy Memoryville Comments: Congratulations and jubilations to every dear and beautiful friend at the party! You were all so gorgeous and lovely to see, the music took us back in time and it was such a wonderful trip. Sandy, Barbara, all the Fugates, Jack, the Mystics, and all your crew, we all thank you with all our hearts, you gave us the best ever reunion, and you honored the memory of all who could not be there and those who are looking over us from above. How wonderful that Maureen came and joined us, we missed her so much, and everyone else who couldn't make it. Please come next time, if you can. You will cherish the memories. The Mystics captured the soul of our time, what wonderful musicians, God bless your talent, please play again for our parties. I have some great video of everybody if you'd like to see it. Again, joy and love to all, and thanks for the memories, see you all again soon! Ann and Faith---you rocked girlfriends! What a party! BTW---Mr. Booshada is sooo cool!
Place: Sachse Comments: Carol we missed you and talked about you. Of course you are welcome here. We need your input. Please don't ever be gone that long again!! Did you fall in a deep hole and just now dig yourself out??
Place: 66erville Comments: To all who attended the reunion, THANK YOU!! While SNL's attention to detail, negotiation skills, long hours, added with Don and Barbara's hard work (I just did what I was asked ((or told)) do) along with the Fugate family's help, set the stage and made it possible, it was you attending that made it a success. It is the old "what if you gave a party and nobody came" scenario. The hugs, seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter made it worth while. Please remember it is the getting together that is important. To those of you who didn't attend, we missed you and talked about you. I know there were many who wanted to come but couldn't make this one. Life's a funny road with lots of curves along the way and many forks to decide which route to chose. We don't know when our road or the road of someone we want to see again will come to a stop. We lose classmates ever year. I pray we will all make it to the 50th, but still try and make some of the minis till then.
Place: Richardson Comments: Linda Perkins Rich - Your Fri night costume was so good . . . I didn't even know who you were until someone pointed it out to me!! The 3 secret judges said you were the girl winner & I asked "which one is Linda?" The prize for the most creative guy went to Sandy Joe McGee in his Letter Sweater! The best couple was Sam & Sarah Smith who came in the infamous "Steady Shirts"! I've never seen so much laughter as Fri night. And wasn't that gourmet popcorn scrumptous!! I couldn't quit eating the peanut butter popcorn, it was wonderful!!!!
Place: Texas Comments: Sandra -- I left my wig at the sports bar by Ojedas. There were so many cars there, I just had to stop and join in. Thanks to everyone who worked on the committee; both party nights were so much fun, especially when I got 1st prize winning for most creative costume.
Place: 67er Comments: I had Wonderful time this weekend!! To all the committe another job well done!! And oh my, my, to The Mystics, you were the Icing on the cake !!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Good Morning Everyone! I'm dragging this morning, but for good reason. . . I had one hellava good time!! Weren't the Mystics great! When they cut loose with their #1 hit song, I had goose bumps running up my arm. They also nailed "Kaunas City". Brought back so many wonderful memories. They have not played together in more than 40 yrs. They got back together for us & have been practicing since June. Thanks to every one of you & your spouses who came to the reunion. It was so much fun all weekend. I crashed last night somewhere towards the end of The Good Wife & I'm moving slow this morning, but seeing all your smiling faces & hearing all the laughter made it all worth the effort. What a treat to see Faith Sorrenson who hasn't been to a reunion since our 20th! We also had quiet a few from other SOC classes join us too. Can't wait to see you all again at the next mini, perhaps in April. Again, Thanks to everyone who came & made this such a special reunion!!!!
Place: bigD Comments: Didn't we have a good time Baby
Place: coppell Comments: For those of you who missed the reunion, it was a blast. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. Laughter is the best medicine they say. Sarah made the comment to several people "she did not know how we could top our 40th,but you guys did". She was right! Thanks again all of you. Sam |
