Place: 66erville Comments: You know Sam, you can get about the same effect by frying bcon in the nude.
Place: FW Comments: Happy Birthday, Charles!
Place: 66erville Comments: Sorry I missed the "other" two birthday boys. Happy Birthday to Charles and one of the best third baseman I ever played ball with, Sam R Smith!! With hopes for many more for those celebrating today.
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - Before KRL goes any further, have you tried this remedy, and how did it work??
Place: Richardson Comments: It appears to be Aug 31 was a jackpot day for many of our classmates. 5 are celebrating tda for their B-day, including both Sammy Smiths!! Happy Birthday to Janie Jones, Charles Moss, Rusty Powers, Sammy M. Smith and Sammy R. Smith ( the good-lookin' one)
Place: bigD Comments: Sam, That should do it, Short cake Karen, let us know it hot grease gets rid of the head ache.
Place: Coppell Comments: Shortcake, I am passing along to you what my grandfather Pop Smith used to tell me. To get rid of any pain, pour a skillet of hot grease down your pants. You will not feel the headaches. Let me know how if it helps.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Gosh happy jack that was really good. Ditto to everything you said. Thanks for the encouraging words Sammy ...I will just have to trust the good Lord to follow what your Dr said. Hopefully it will not take that long to get rid of this heachache. The shots have not kicked in yet! Oh well...everyone said I have a hard head!
Place: Sachse Comments: Per Mr. Smith, Happy Birthday to Sammy, Janie and Rusty. Would be nice to hear from them. Annette is right, Mike was one good guy. You never know when you'll be called home. Life is short. Another good reason to join friends and classmates at every opportunity. I don't think I have been to any gathering where someone didn't say something that brought back a long forgotten memory of my youth. I so much enjoyed my days at Lisbon, Zumwalt and SOC. Not that I was a good student, I enjoyed being with all of you and most of the teachers. Carefree days of playing and teasing. Making life long friends (even though there have been some gaps in some cases) who have braced me up in hard times and celebrated with and for me in the good. Joy and sorrow are both better handled when shared and people who know you and where you came from, share best.
Place: coppell Comments: Happy Birthday to Sammy M.Smith, Janie Jones Gann and Rusty Powers. Hope you have a special day today.
Place: Coppell Comments: Hey Shortcake, when I had my total hip replacement in 2005, I had no feeling from my left hip to my ankle. I went to a neurologist for testing and she told me it would be 18 months before I would get my feeling back and this was common for hip and knee replacements. It was almost 18 months to the day when complete feeling returned. Jack, bring a six pack and we'll hose each other down.
Place: H-Town Comments: So sad to hear about a sweet friend no longer with us. Mike was a fantastic caring person. Too many wonderful people have left us too soon.
Place: Sachse Comments: Sam, I'm not busy right now. Say the word and I'll come over and hose you down with the garden hose. I don't care how old you are, fun is fun!!
Place: bigD Comments: Sam, EVERYTHING is different in our 60's
Place: Coppell Comments: I don't get it. Sarah and I did yard work this morning. I always mow and she does the edging and trimming. After I finished the back yard , I missed a strip and pointed out to her to edge it. While I was under the umbrella sipping cold water, I told her she missed a spot and move to her right, then left, back up and turn around, move forward and to to the left, then front of her. There was no spot. I could have sworn I saw one. Guess I should not have been laughing. Sarah said She will get even and so much for my extra "special" birthday present late tomorrow night. You know, even though it was 90 degrees, when we were in our early 20's, she would have laughed it off and took the garden hose to me. Guess it's different in our 60's. Oh well |
