Place: Lazy S ranch Comments: Jack, We live on a small ranch also. We went to the Brownwod football game last Friday and yelled so much that Yuvonne woke up Saturday and was a little hoarse. Does that mean we have a little hoarse ranch? I'm so confused.
Place: bigD Comments: JACK JAck Jack OOOO jack, where did you get your humor? From John Southbound. They are very small people, they ride ponies.
Place: 66erville Comments: I'm glad to know where the Longhorns are because they sure didn't show up for the game Saturday! Rick, are your cousins small people or do they hire small people to ride those small horses on the ranch??
Place: bigD Comments: YES the longhorns are still there at Fuel City, WE are going the the Rodeo in FT Worth tonight. cousins are from Washington and California, wash. cousins have a small ranch with horses.
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, it does count & we missed you too Rick! You were a good DFW Ambassador taking them to all the things tourist like to see. Where the longhorns still there at Fuel City? Last time I went by there I couldn't see them. The longhorns at the State Fair Lantern Festival were beautiful. They had a large herd.
Place: bigD Comments: Yes Sandy and Linda, I was in Cow-town with my cousins and their friend from Zimbabwe, Africa. We went to the Stockyards and the Amon Carter Art Museum. then to Dallas and Dealy plaza to look at the Grassy Knoll, ( it's not so Grassy anymore) then to the Fuel Stop near the Trinity to look at the Longhorns. Didn't get home till late in the evening. But I did miss all of you. Does that count for something?
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Being very claustrophobic and hating large crowds (especially when I don't know the people), I have avoided the State Fair for at least 20 years....except to go to the Music Hall to see the show (and that has only been once that I can think of).I love the fair, just cannot stand the crowds. The main thing I miss about not going to the fair is the Fletcher's Corny Dogs. Love 'em!! Wish Fletcher's had a place to sell them all year long. I would be four times fatter than I am now, though. My dream of a "perfect" world? A place that ALWAYS sells Fletcher's Corny Dogs AND Keller's #5 Special Hamburgers!!!!!!!!
Place: Allen, TX Comments: YEAaaaaaaaaaaa, Sammy!!!!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - That's real good news! Glad you're back home, problem solved & well fed. Hopefully this will be the last time you have to go thru that for several yrs!! We went to the Great State Fair of Texas yesterday. Kinda like it is tda, drizzly & misting. But by 1:00PM it had stooped & the rest of the day & evening were just great. We got there at 11:15 & left at 8:15!! We were so tired by then! Went thru every building & saw the Dog Show. But if you go . . . Don't miss the Chinese Lantern Festival!!! It is absolutely breath-taking! You're best bet is to go in just before 6:00pm, after 6 the price goes up from $5 to $14! It will take 45-55 min to walk thru everything & see all the unbelievable displays. Then find a bench, step, or even the chairs on the patio in front of the I-Max & wait until the lights go on. (they came on at 6:55 last night) It's great to see the intricate lantern displays before they turn on the lights but, oh so gorgeous when the lights go on. Take it all in as you won't see anything like this again. Ran into Dane & Debbie Thornton while at the Fair!!
Place: 66erville Comments: Way to go Sam!! Now don't do that anymore!! Too bad Sarah didn't take you to Norma's for breakfast...
Place: FW Comments: That's good news, Sam! Glad to hear it. Hope you enjoyed your McDonald's this morning!
Place: Coppell Comments: Back from the surgical center. Bleeding was caused by the radiation treatments I had last year. The doctor cauterized the tender red places. Should do the trick.
Place: Texas Comments: Sam, Hope all goes well and the news is good; I had one of those about 10 yrs ago. SNL - enjoyed seeing the pics you posted; I enjoyed seeing everyone and getting lots of hugs. Sounds like everyone was hungry for Mexican food on that cold "wintery" day.
Place: Coppell Comments: My gastroenterologist has scheduled a Flex Sigmoidoscopy ( partial colonoscopy) tomorrow morning at Preston Plaza Surgery Center. Hopefully it will be something minor he can fix again while I am under. Bad news is I have to drink the junk tonight; good news is Sarah is treating me to breakfast at McDonalds tomorrow after the procedure. Will keep all posted.
