Place: OR Comments: Great news about Charles. Will keep in our prayers for full recovery. The BMF Project Kickoff Dinner was a success. Over 90 folks attended and a nice contingent from our 66ers. Thanks to all that have supported the charity. We continue to grow and are able to do more positive things. SNL - sorry won't be able to attend on the 13th, but already bought airfare for April and the 13th is not a weekend I will be home. Will miss seeing everyone.
Place: Richarson Comments: Charles just cld & great news!! He sounded so good on the pho! Sd they did surgery early this mrng & put in pacemaker. Also found the root of the problem . . . the lower part of his heart had a blockage & was not communicating with the upper portion of his heart. That's why his heart wasn't having regular beats & his breathing was labored. Dr sd they will check him all day tda & if things continue to go well he can go home tmo. I can't tell you how much better he already sounds. This is the start of good things for him! He sd to tell everyone thank you for the prayers & God answered them!! He's already asking when the next Get-Together is going to be!! I'm hoping to confirm tda that it will be April 13th!
Place: Richardson Comments: Well, we didn't get to make the BMF Kick-Off Dinner last night. Relatives from Hstn cld late Thurs & sd they were coming to Plano & wd love to come see us Sat & Sun. As it turned out . . . they came here & spent the night with us Sat & left tda!! Hope last night was a good turn out for BMF! How did it go? Did anyone we know win the IPod?

Place: Richardson Comments: Just a quick FYI regarding Charles Moss - At 8 O'Clock Charles cld & after having waited all day for them to do surgery . . . they came in and said Dr was still with another patient & will now have to wait until monday mrng. Surgery now scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday.

Place: South;ake Comments: I just talked to Charles and they are going to put the pacemaker in tonight at 8pm. I told him we would all pray for him. He said he would call tomorrow.
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: Praying for Charles. Hope all goes well and the Pacemaker works very well for him. Hard to believe that we are at the age where our bodies start giving us problems. Seems like we just graduated from SOC a few weeks ago.

Place: Update on Charles Moss Comments: T/W Charles few minutes ago & Dr said they wd like to implant the pacemaker this afternoon IF all the Dr's other surgeries go on time. No time set, will depend on when Dr gets thru tda. If not early enough, they will wait & do it Monday. Charles' sister & bro-n-law are picking up his Mom & they will be at hospital abut 1:00 to wait with Charles & be there for him. Please pray for Charles & this surgery to take place today and to go well. He is very nervous abt this & I so hope they can do it tda & not make him wait all wkend.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Sam - I was at my Dr.s office today and we were discussing things like you were just talking about...he said that there is probably nothing that you can eat, drink, wear, drive, etc, etc that is not going to bother someone, or hurt someone and I am beginning to believe that! So I have gone back to just eating and drinking what I want!!!!!   
Place: Richardson Comments: I want you to know about the serious health issues of one of our favorite bears . . . Charles Moss! He had just gotten home Tue afternoon after being out & about for several hrs in his car. He got out of the car, felt dizzy & before he could do anything he awoke to find himself laying face down on the driveway!! Luckily he didn't break any bones, but his face is bruised from landing face first without any effort being made to break the fall. He was taken to St. Paul hosp here in Dls. & remains there tonight. In addition to his long-time problems with CF, he is now having heart problems. His heart isn't pumping enough oxygen to his brain, that's why he passed out. Drs now want to put in a pacemaker. Normally, this is not a major procedure, but it is for Charles. Being put under is very dangerous for him for so many reasons, I won't go into all the issues here, but it is a very serious decision he has to make. He is concerned to say the least, but said he can't live the rest of whatever time he has just sitting on the sidelines. This is a major life decision and prayers for Charles are definitely in order!!! Please join me in praying that all his doctors use their expensive medical training wisely and they're able to help him get better. If you would like to talk with Charles & cheer him up, he would love to hear from all of you. His cell # is correct in our 45th reunion directory. If he can't answer the pho, leave a message & he will call you back. Please pray for Charles as he is the kindest man I know and he never ever complains. He could really use an angel right now.

Place: Coppell Comments: So I am sitting in my recliner after physical therapy an d grabbed a can of Superior Nut Co. Almonds for my afternoon snack. Out of sheer boredom , I began reading their label . They boast about theiir commitment to Global Warming by planting trees in the rain forest of Costa Rica which via photosynthesis emits oxygen in the atmosphere. They claim this offsets the dangerous C02 emissions from their manufacturing plant, trucks and autos. How great for the people in this region . Upon researching further, I found their plant is Massachusetts. Henceforth the good people on Mass. Suck in the carbon dioxide while Costa Ricans enjoy the pure clean oxygen and clean water. Anyone see a problem here? |
