Place: Allen, TX Comments: SNL, I conversed with Zita Campbell on FaceBook, last night. I told her about the reunion and directed her to our class webpage. Hoping she will come. She was fun.

Place: Richardson Comments: What Jack said, ditto. We're trying to give you info that will be helpful to get all you can out of the reunion. All the hotels have gone to the "Buy ticket from Cashier" mode. When you think about it , it makes sense. The bartender can make drinks faster and be more efficient if he isn't trying to make change and handle money. If you haven't looked at the "Who's Attending" tab on our site lately, please do. We've got some long lost classmates that are coming! If you haven't gotten around to registering yet . . . check out the list and you may find a good reason!! ![[biggrin]](/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif "Big Grin - :D")

Place: 66erville Comments: Couple of other notes regarding the reunion: At 2:00 on Saturday we will hold a Remembrance program, honoring our classmates who have passed. As we are still working with the hotel for a place, all I can tell you now is that it will be in the area around the ballroom where the reunion will be held. More info will be posted when the place is settled. Signs will be posted at the hotel. As for the cash bar: If you want to buy something from the bar, FIRST go to the cashier and purchase tickets or if you prefer coupons, then take your tickets over to the bar, order your drink(s) and pay with the tickets. The only money the bartender will take is for tips. This is pretty common now, but wanted to get the word out for anyone who has not experienced it.
Place: Reunion Central Comments: Thought you would enjoy know what we will be having for dinner each night of the Reunion. Friday: A Buffet from 7:00 to about 8:30pm will be available. We'll have Hot Dogs & Hamburgers with all the trimmings and Potato Chips. Also Brownies drizzled with chocolate and Homemade Cookies. There will be water, iced tea and coffee available and it will all be "self-serve". The tables will be set with napkins and silverware and you can get your food and drink at your leisure. Saturday: 7:00pm. A plated dinner will be served. We'll start with a salad, the entree will be Panko Crusted Chicken, Mash Potatoes, Grilled Zucchini Sticks and Assorted Hot Rolls with flavored butter. Dessert will be Chocolate Cake. Iced tea & coffee will be served. Remember - Friday is casual dress and we'll have that fun Photo Booth from 7 to 11. On Saturday, let's dress up a bit more than we do Friday (no coats or ties) and come prepared for some fun, a Celebrity Guest appearance and of course a Fugate Production Video. When you pick up your packets they will have your directory & badges inside. PLEASE wear your badges during the reception and to gain entry into the ballroom. You will need your badge on to enter the ballroom. After that, wear them at your discretion. But remember, it sure helps all those who haven't been to a reunion in years to know who you are!

Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, she did pass away. It was posted all over FB. Bless James' heart, first his dtr-n-law passed away a few months ago of cancer and now his sister. He said she was his last living relative that he had know all his life. Very sad.
Place: KC, MO Comments: I read on the SOC class of '64 site that Anita Pulis passed away on August 6th. Thinking of her family, especially her brother James. Love to all - Carol
Place: Richardson Comments: Just before 5:00pm as I was headed t the kitche dot fix supper . . . all heck broke loose! Thunder rumbled and cracked, rain started pouring down and low and behold if we didn't get more hail. Luckily, it wasn't big and the hail didn't last long but the wind was very strong. Blew a few fences down along our street and branches and leaves everywhere. It hit 107 at DFW today, now a cool front has roared thru. Man, I haven't seen this much rain in August ever! And it's forecast for the next several days. Only in TEXAS. Hope everyone around here is Ok and no downed trees. But, the good news is that we did NOT loose electricity this time. Yea!!!!!

Place: Richardson Comments: Received two more registrations today. If you aren't sure if you registered, check the "Who's Attending " page for your name. I update the names every day after going thru the mail. Keep in mind, a class directory comes with a paid registration, or you can order a directory if you can't attend. I have 7 such orders. But, if you wait until after the deadline to decide to register, then I can't promise you a directory. The number of printed directories is based on the number of people who register to attend, or order one, not on the number of people who say they plan to attend and promise to mail it. We mailed the invites on May 5th, it's now time to take action! Not sure why I still see 3 people on the Hotel Room List (they reserved a room several months ago) but, they haven't registered for the reunion?
