This is sad news, but this venue is to keep us all informed so here goes . . .

Alexander, the Fugate's great grandson, passed away this morning.  As you may know, he was born about 3 and half weeks ago without a brain, he only had a brain stem.  Please keep the entire Fugate Family in your prayers as they try to process this devastating loss.

Charles - I just finished talking with Charles.  For the 1st time Charles began bleeding from his lungs.  That's an issue with CF.  He had to get to the hospital quick and he was able to talk the local paramedics into taking him all the way to UT Southwestern because he needed to be where all his doctors are located.  They may have to cauterize the bleeding artery.  Not a simple procedure.  But the good news is that as of this morning the bleeding has stopped!  Let's keep the prayers coming for Charles to have a good recovery.

Gang, we have Friends who need our prayers . . .  keep them in your thoughts and your prayers.

Thank you, Sammy.

Ada, were you at our Saturday night "after party" table, too?  Didn't mean to leave your name out.  I want to remember everything about the reunion - don't want to forget anything.

The next time someone talks with Charles, please tell him that he is in my thoughts.  It was such a great time sitting and talking with Charles, James Young, Sheryl Bunyard, Judy Harris, and Eileen Sandifer at Saturday night's "after party".  God bless our friend Charles.

Love to all - Carol

I need to let everyone know Charles Moss is back in the hospital. He started hemmorageing early yesterday and called 911. I called him just to say hello and found out. He is in the William Clements hospital room 1204. He is in isolation and can have visitors, but you will need to wear their special hospital gowns, mask and gloves.
Charles needs our prayers as the doctors will need to determine where exactly the hemmorage is located and cauterize it/ them.
I told Charles I would let all of you know and I am posting on my face book page as well.

Yes, Carol.  This time last week I had packed up all the boxes & had them stacked everywhere.  I was so excited I could hardly go to sleep.  Gee, how time flies. I miss all the smiling faces and the hugs. [smile]

I meant to bring my little golden bear that I got from the school many, many years ago ( I hate to say 50). He is in ok condition with one arm loose. I, too, did not see and talk to everyone. It was great fun!

Carol - I really enjoyed your pho call last night!  Now reading your post does bring tears to my eyes because I already miss everyone.  Donnie sent the email out regarding how many are interested in purchasing his Saturday Night production.  I have to say, it was his best ever!  He out did himself on this one!

He sent email to everyone who has given me their email.  THIS is why it's important to keep your info current so we can reach you when necessary.  The cost will be very low, enough to cover the cost of supplies, duplication and postage.   He will send another email to all who responded with the amount and where to send the check. FYI - Checks are always made out to:  SOC 66 Reunion Fund . . .  never to Donnie or myself.  It goes into the Fund to pay the expenses.  When you get the 2nd email, read and follow directions.  [thumb]

Has anyone ever had a better 50th Reunion than the SOC Class of 1966?  I think not!

I have to echo what several have said - I meant to talk with so many, but the time just flew by.  Hopefully I can make amends at our future mini get-togethers.

In addition to thanking our wonderful, dedicated reunion committee members - Sandy, Jack, Barbara, and Don - I want to thank another group - the significant others of many of our class members, who faithfully attend our SOC gatherings and who are really our adopted classmates.  I apologize in advance for failing to mention someone - but here goes.

Thank you - Don Broughton, Glynda Hawkins, Barbara Fuentes, Ben Clayton, Bill Smith, Bobby Louton, Carolyn Burrow, Charlene Browning, Connie McKee, Geneva Young, Joyce Tillery, Marilyn Watts, Mike Davis, Myrna Harrison, Sarah Smith!

...and thanks to our friends from other SOC classes who joined in the celebration!

Charlene Browning and I talked briefly Saturday night about what makes our Class of '66 gatherings so special.  I had given that a lot of thought prior to the reunion.  I believe that - when our class gathers - we are coming home to one another - to our shared friendships, our shared experiences, our shared memories - all of which have become that more precious because we no longer have the neighborhoods of our youth to come home to.  We are blessed to have been raised in those neighborhoods and to have been part of wonderful families - and we are blessed to have one another.  (Is there a Hallmark or an animal rescue commercial on TV right now - 'cause here come the tears!)

Eagerly awaiting the video and the photos!

Love to all - Carol

After going thru Shortcakes photos and then the Photo Booth pics . . .  I now understand why SOCrates was so tired Sunday evening and all day Monday.  He could hardly sit up in his chair!  Based on photos, he apparently drank too much Fri night and then had a wild time in the photo booth!  He's always been a party animal.  He's resting in the upstairs bedroom.
