I get that SNL.  I was just feeling a bit uppity yesterday...or, anxious....or, something.

You are correct Carol .  .  .  Never schedule a mini on TX/OU weekend!

Richard - what can I say?  It's a little strong and since I'm out and about at the Mini I use water to lighten it up.  If I got the "good stuff' JW Black, then no water needed.  [smile]

Hi, everyone!
Hope that all of you in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area are OK. I've been seeing Facebook posts about some pretty bad weather there. ๐Ÿคž
About the Fall mini - Since I started going to Aspen in October for the annual John Denver Celebration Week, I've crossed my fingers each year that there wouldn't be a conflict with our mini. I think that I'm good this year, as my JD trip includes the weekend of the Texas/OU ๐Ÿˆ game - and Sandy makes every effort NOT to schedule the mini for THAT weekend! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ‘
Hope that everyone will have a nice week. Take care! โค๏ธ

I've never understood watering down scotch.

That's why I always say the Minis are Free, because unless you mix scotch with the water  .  .  . the price, as you said, is very reasonable.

I have always found the water during Happy Hour very reasonably priced. ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’ง

Janice and all - No date has been set yet for Fall Mini.  We have 2 Minis a year, 1 in Spring, usually in Mar or Apr depending on when Easter falls, and the other in the Fall, usually in Oct.  We didn't have a Mini last Fall, we had the 70th B-day party instead.  I always post the info HERE 1st.  Then it is also posted on our EVENTS pg.  For the past 3 yrs or so I've made a reference to it on FB & ask people who are interested i coming to go to our EVENTS pg for full details.

I'm glad to see we have classmates who are already interested in the Fall Mini.  I hope everyone will make a full-out effort to attend as it's always a good time!!  And did I mention . . .  it's always FREE!!  Of course if you order drinks, you gotta pay for those.  [biggrin] [rolleyes]

Paul, it's good to know you & Kathy aren't in the flood zone but it is heartbreaking to see what's happened to so many people due to the heavy rains.  And the rivers are still rising as it's all flowing down hill.

I'm glad you get a break next week.  I think you are a very strong person because you always seem so positive.  I firmly believe that having a positive & defiant attitude is a key to someone getting well.  I believe in you and will keep you in my prayers.  God Bless the class of '66.

Yes, Sandy...today and tomorrow...then a break. I will tell you, this new chemo regimen has turned me every way but loose. I can take it if it is doing the same thing to the cancer. I am sorry for ALL The people from Houston to Des Moines that are dealing with such loss. I cannot imagine how you deal with losing everything. You end up managing to do it, but the pain you must go through to get to โ€œthe other sideโ€ has to stretch you to your limits. Speaking of that, all homage to our WW II vets who were stretched BEYOND their limits to help โ€œmake the world rightโ€ again. Will we see their kind ever again? Letโ€™s pray it doesn't take a similar situation to reveal it if we do.

Paul - good to know all that rain hasn't put you in the flood zone!  Besides OK, also AR, TN, MO & several more states are experiencing record breaking rain & so much devastation.

Is today & tomorrow the 3rd week of your new chemo?  I'm still praying this new higher dose will put that dang cancer back where it belongs . . .  dead!  I hope you have a little better week next week.
