Place: CHIP'S Charity Day!! Comments: Good mornin' gang! I can't believe it has taken me one full month to completely get over that darn sinus & upper respiratory infections. Of course this weird continuous rainy, cold & damp weather all month long hasn't helped . Ok, real reason for posting . . . Please don't forget about Dennis Nance, owner of Chips, offer to help the rescuers in Australia by making a donation of 100% of his profits at all 3 locations on Feb 4th. Dennis is a generous person & he has offered to do this, so let's help the animals and people in Australia and have a great meal at the same time. Don & I plan to go to the one in Plano, right off the Dallas North Tollway & Hwy 121. It's actually almost under 121. It's a large place & also has lots of outdoor seating. But, if it's rainy or cold I can't sit outside, but I will be inside enjoying some great food. * We plan to be there about 12:45, give the lunch crowd time to clear out, and have a great lunch. Anyone else want to meet us out there for a fun lunch with SOC friends??!! Hope to see lots of support from this SOC group!

Place: LV, TX Comments: Very sorry that I missed a coupla birthdays after rebooting for a software update. Outlook reminders were saved in the iCloud copy of my calendars, instead of the local one, and I didn't notice they weren't sync'd. Belated H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Mike McDow for Jan. 14th and Ron Barker for Jan. 16th! Guys, we hope you both celebrated a great one as you racked up another digit, along with some of the rest of us. May you have many happy returns!
Place: North Richland Hills Comments: Sending a return 'hello' to Jimmy Martin!
Place: Richardson Comments: After 23 days of feeling bad with sinus and upper respiratory infections, today I woke up and thought, "Hey, I think I feel decent!" I even did a few things around the house and I've been up all day, not once have I had to go lay down. I think I'm well. Mow I have to try & catch up on FB & GB as I've not looked much and sometimes I went days without even turning on my PC. Nice to be back among the living!!
Place: Edmond Comments: It would be even more of a delight if belching in public were not still frowned upon 🧐🤐
Place: Edmond Comments: Breakfast chili with grated cheese and diced onions is a treat to be savored. Now if it came from Terlingua...
Place: LV, TX Comments: I have a custom-painted crock-pot that says: "Real Texas Chili - It Ain't Just For Breakfast Anymore!" My recipe takes a coupla days, but it's ready by supper on the 2nd.
Place: Edmond Comments: I’m going to need a really...long...spoon to try that chili. 🍱. Doesn't everyone get good ol’ Texas chili in their Bento Boxes?
Place: Chiefs Kingdom 😊 Comments: Hi, everyone! Sandy, I think that you're "right on" about the Nance brothers. 💕 I hope that lots of our classmates and friends will make it to the Chips event. ...and for goodness sake - someone PLEASE try the chili! 😊 Love to all! 😘

Place: Richardson Comments: Carol - Thanks for posting the info regarding Chips! Since it's 2 weeks away, I believe I'll be good enough to go to Chips for lunch. Don & I really like the beautiful place in Plano just off the DNT & 121. If it's pretty weather, that's the place to be! From what I can see, Dennis & Richard are very much alike. Both are kind, caring and very generous men. Thank you in advance Dennis - you do good work! Hope to be there on Feb 4th! |
