Yep Sandy Joe, those boys are precious!  At least this time you weren't holding them hostage wearing a cheesehead!!

Don't forget - - Send me a cute photo of your Grandone or Grandones and I'll post them on our Pride & Joy pg!!  I have 2 in queue right now, but need more, so keep 'em comin'!  As always, I post them in the order in which they arrive in my in-box.  We've started strong this year, so get a good photo and send it jpeg to me.  Please resist editing it down & reducing it as sometimes they end up too small or reduced pixels and they don't show as well on the big screen!  Thanks!

Although he wasn't down on his knees...Brett Farve looked a lot like Y.A. Tittle after the 1963 game. This is when a very famous photograph was taken with Y.A. on his knees in Yankee Stadium, blood running down his face and snow and mud all over him...

We lost and now I understand, very well, how you Cowboy fans felt...how could, what appeared to be an inferior team, come into Lambeau Field and win?

Well let's put this in perspective...they owned the ball for over 40 minutes on offense.

Ada Ann...look out, I do not for a second believe you can lose...but then neither did I believe the Cowboys and now the Packers would lose.

So good luck.

There are new Pride & Joy photos this morning!

My hat is off to the Giants & Packers for playing is such cold weather!!  Brrrr!  I wouldn't have been able to even call a play because my mouth would've been chattering so hard . . .  much less throw a football!!!  I'm not sure either team will be able to play very well in 2-wks.  It'll probably be a balmy 70 degrees in AZ!!  They ain't used to that  . . .!!!    Good luck Ada Ann!!

Sally T., Although you are a Cowboy fan, I figure you will be rooting for the Giants in the Super Bowl.  I would like to wager a bet with you...the loser will donate $50.00 to the winner's favorite charity.  How does that sound?

Buddy - I'm sure our 2 LA gals could bust the hunger out of us & several more judges - count me in.

Your wife was at NWSU at about the same time as Kathy.  What was her full/maiden name & I'll ask mine if they knew each other.  Use my e-mail link in upper right corner if you prefer.

BTW - I remember your dad delivering big, paper-wrapped bales of laundry to our house when we lived on Marfa, just a block off Ramona & Overton.

Don L, just thinking out loud, Kathy and Georegene (my wife) well we could set up a Cajun cook off and it would be very important to have two fine hungry judges, judge Don Judge Buddy justa hunger tought. Really maybe meet for dinner one nite. my wife is from the class of 71 at North Western

JD - We typically cheer for the Cowboys & the opponent of any team who beats them, particularly during the playoffs.  But, rooting for the Packers didn't work out for us either.  Unlike their win against the Seahawks, GB just didn't seem to be in their usual groove & Brett wasn't smiling or having fun.

My hat's definitely off to both teams for playing out on that sub-zero frozen field tonight.  I was impressed that they were able to handle the ball as well as they did.

So, I guess we'll have to leave it up to Ada's Patriots to get our revenge.  If Sally has been holding her tongue about the Giants til now, I suspect we'll be hearing from her soon.

Ada - Yes, I met Kathy there in May '93.  She was the personnel director at a law firm across the street from the fed bldg where I worked, but we didn't meet right away.  I was in a van pool that included some of her staff.  They eventually introduced us at a party/cookout & we were married about 6 mos. before I retired in '96.

Cheezehead, sorry the Pack let the Giants win. The two lineman should not have tried to pick up that last Giant fumble. I think the Giants coach is a jerk. The S.B. will be a blowout, and I don't care for their coach either. Travel safe this week, how do you live in that climate?
