Comments: Congratulations to the weight-loss group. I know it is a difficult thing to do. Sandra - how is your mascara doing? Did it work better after you warmed it up? Good idea! We have lots of windows at work and of course I sit by one. So yesterday and today, to help keep my feet warm, I've worn my old wool skiing socks and another pair of socks over them.

Comments: All I can say is that by the Grace of God we sold our Big A** Calif. house 2 years ago, sold off our construction business 2 months ago, and are moving to a state with real nice people---and I won't have to hear anymore that Texas is "Just Fly-Over Country!" I'm so SICK of the East and West Coast attitude!!
Comments: I always hear about taxpayers picking up the loss on failures of this type. But, I've never figured out how. I know politicians and the press say it, but how does flow through to the taxpayer. It would seem that the PMI folks would take a loss on whatever they didn't recover from a foreclosure sale. The FDIC only insures bank deposits(in a failure), but even they run on funds paid to them by banks, as does the OCC. The term "gov't bailout" sounds like taxpayer money, but it's a pretty broad term that usually means a gov't loan or guarantee is made. (I only ask this because it's late in the day and I'm bored again...you know how I get).
Comments: SNL, the house next door is for sale. It's a white elephant, mortgage scam bought from Drees and sold 3 times. Another in Woodhaven was bought by a lady from Calif. Paid $440,000 and had it appraised for $850,000. They paid off the appraiser, mort. co., and agent. This lady owns 200 of these houses. It is in foreclosure, and taxpayers will pick up the loss.
Comments: Yes Toni, we've been out of our house for 6 yrs ( was only going to be 2 to 3 yrs) and we've now decided we are going to stay in the local area. Yes, we originally had "other plans" but then funny thing happened . . . LIFE!! So we're gng to Plan B, or maybe it's Plan C or D, but yes we're going to get back into a house again. Like you said, there are some real good bargains out here & they get better each month!
Comments: 30 degrees with 100% humidity and that's in Texas. It's so cold in my house I have to put my mascara in my bra 30 mins before I put it on. No comment about the FEDs, No comment about the stock market, no comment about HILLARY CLINTON. That's the problem with America. We don't speak up. It's just easier to complain to one another.

Comments: We're having a heat wave...it is actually 14 degrees today as a high...WOW... Don't get me off on government...but will say this...look long and hard at Social Security...then read the 5 part series in USA Today that started last wee on Monday and ended on Friday...you will realize that we will be taxed to death on it so you might as well not get it at all... Where we are going wrong...is that we are part of the Boomers and have never really exerted our clout...maybe it is time that we straighten out the government by taking over one day and dumping 95% of the laws and anyone that has been there more than 2 years... Think about it...I really believe it could be done...at least scare them into doing the right thing...rather than becoming fat and rich and stealing our tax money... sorry...I still love this country...but am tired of the crooks. Love to all....
Comments: My official report on weight loss...am down 6.6 lbs. And for the first time in a LOOONNNGGG time am encouraged that I went on the road last week, restaurants every day, dinners and lunches with clients, customers, reps etc and got home feeling pretty good...only gained about 1/2 lb. Congrats to RN and KMG...but I still have 32.2 to lose before June 4th when I return to Big D...am not coming back rolling into Dallas like I did last summer...I want to GLIDE into the town with a much smaller waist size and bigger sticks so I can beat the C_ _ P out of McGee on the course...even though he fails to remember that I did that last year as well...
Comments: Jackson and Kyle look like Mustangs or Bears.  I'm sure Grandpa would help foot the bill. I'll be in 2025 there will be another "Most Handsome" in the family.
Comments: RN, you ask "Sandy" & I'm not sure which one, but I've talked with Bovie twice in last wk. He & Charlene are fine but of course the situation with her Mom & Dad continues to decline! Charlene's Mom in Nursing home on Hospice & her Dad has Alzheimer's and needs lots of attention, he's in an assisted living facility. Bovie helps by checking on her Dad & tending to his problems as she can't be in 2 places at once. In other words, they're in the same boat many of us are right now, and it's an unsteady ship to say the least! God Bless us all when we're responsible for our parent(s) full care, it's a big job and very stressful.

That's how busy I've been! Why to these younguns sign up for a mortgage into which they only pay interest for the first five years? Just tryin' to keep up with the Joneses....well certainly not these Joneses!!
SNL, are you really thinking of moving? There are some real beauties out your back door!
