Comments: Relf was '64 as it turns out.
Comments: Don, there was a kid named Billy Relf from '65, I believe, that was KIA (died inside an armourd carrier I think). I went to his funeral. As a technical matter, I'm not sure he waited to graduate before enlisting...but, he did his part.
Comments: oh, dear...I'm thinking the others that went on the Roadtrip have collapsed. Perhaps they're all talked out... ![]() ![]() ![]() . Annette, not sure about the sink! It really looked more like a small butler's pantry to me!! JD, I almost forgot - and the winner was....(big drum roll, please)...Sandra McM...to the tune of ten big ones...I ended up the banker!Biker Bob, make this a special birthday...you deserve it! Give our regards to Eva and your family.
Comments: JD/Buddy - I attended the 25th anniversary of The Wall this past Nov., during the weekend before Vets' Day. I offered to make etchings of names from The Wall for family, friends & co-workers while I was there. I posted that note on the '65 website because some of our classmates wanted an etching of Rocke's name. I needed to know the panel# location, but couldn't find his name listed in any of the web searches of 'Nam vets from TX. When I tried dropping TX as his home state & left it blank, I found his name & hometown - College Park, GA. The SOC names I knew of & found were: ROBERT W HOOK (SOC ’66) Panel 32W - Line 21
LARRY DOUGLAS FRALICKS (SOC ’65) Panel 18W - Line 32
WILMA J BARR (SOC ’65) Panel 22E - Line 119
CLOYDE CYRIS PINSON JR (SOC ’65) Panel 19E - Line 99
ROCKE DARRELL RAMSEY (SOC ’65) Panel 25E - Line 32
Here's one of the links for Rocke (also, click bar below panel# labeled 'Click Here'):

And am willing to buy anything just so I can somehow convey the message.
Comments: Did everyone vote? I voted a few times! You should- otherwise people from outside might do so (Oklahomans, Arkansans, etc) http://apps.dot.state.tx.us/services/vehicle_titles_and_registration/vote_plate.htm The ugly one is winning!
Comments: We're back!!...and it's a wrap! ![]() We had the greatest time. We (Sandra, Linda, Debbie and I) didn't miss a street in South Oak Cliff. We didn't even have to break out the bullets...well there was one time in the parking lot of the Walgreens when Linda and Deb has to make a pit stop and Sandy McM and I thought something might happen in the parking lot....but that's a story for another time! Well at least they liked the Obama sticker. We took SO many pictures...I just hope they turn out. We thought we'd make an album and bring it to the next mini in June. JD, your farm is wide open spaces now. I bet they start to build something before too long. I just wanted to thank Sandy McM for an excellent job as our tour guide....we didn't have to use the Mapsco once! It all came back to us. What a day! Maybe we should charter a van or bus and go back over in June...I'm sure it would go over in a big way. I'm tired....where's the wine? ![]()

Comments: Hey JAda---Not yet---we'll be there around Valentine's day. Yes our sons are both there and lovin' it. Both are MBA Rice (Tony MBA 1999, and Alex will be MBA 2009). Was soo surprised that Alex (our California dude) would love Houston. Hope he finds a job there, and we can start having some Grand Baby's to spoil!
Comments: Annette, Have you made your move and already in Texas? Don't your sons live in the Houston area?
Comments: Toni--would that be the WH room with the SINK?
Comments: Snowman u deserve to come on down and play with us on the links. the golf is fine. I have Logan pupped and ready (told him the pride of 67 was on his shoulders )and if u know Logan he's not going to let a man down. the golf is good but trash talk with old friends priceless
Comments: Buddy...only know about our class of 66...Don L. might know other KIA's from other classes. However, much to my sadness, Victor Noah's name is not on the wall. He died because of his wounds after wards, but because of the circumstances of his death his name was not eligible. Breaks my heart as his wounds came from a patrol and firefight where he was the only survivor..and their mission was to open supply lines to Khe Sanh where I was attached to the 3rd Marine Div as a Navy Corpsman during the siege of 68'. He was wounded trying to save my life and the other 4000 on the mountain and was only 8 or so miles from us and neither of us knew the other was there. But Don L. was able to get him added to the "In Memoriam" program last May...I believe and a whole group of us went to the ceremony and it was special...God Bless him. Therefore, Robert (Bob) Hook is our only KIA on the Wall. |
