Most taxpayers will receive a check of up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples from the Internal Revenue Service, with an additional $300 per child. People earning at least $3,000 and those who owe little or no taxes would get $300 for singles, $600 for couples. Those making more than $75,000 and couples with income exceeding $150,000 are to get smaller rebates — $50 less per $1,000 they make over those thresholds.   Well, this was on AOL, so it must be true.  What shall we all do with this windfall?!  Deb

I am not to sure about Ada Ann - I am kind of remembering that $20 attempt at a bribe to throw the pillow fight their way.  I do still have a picture to prove that    So you see - pictures can prove things! You should have ducked!

So, Doc D, put that in your pipe and smoke it!  As you can see, I would never cheat, but I might be tricky!

Doc, our Jada is the most honest among us and she would never think of cheating.  Karen MG is right....she does know how to hold "her own" in a pillow fight........I should know....I had to take the pillow away from her in order to win!  Okay, Richard, tell us about your soiree at the Anatole.  I remember their disco club was pretty cool.

Ada Ann- Do you remember the word "blind date"? A friend that I worked with, set me up with a date with a friend of her husband's work place. After 37 yrs., and 2 great boys, I guess the date worked out!! Alan's cousin was in the typing class that I was an assistant for in our senior yr.,(she was a sophmore) and I didn't remember her, also he drove by our house at times visiting her family off Ledbetter. Small world. Everyone in "snow country", stay warm and safe and don't forget your "Cowboy loyality".  The only snow I care to forget is a year in Michigan (71-72) when Alan was electrical foreman for Holiday Inns and built a 3 story one in Grayling, Mi. in 30below and when we left in May it was still on the ground!! Some of the snow drifts were taller than me and covered up one side of the lake cabin we lived in.  Alan says he couldn't do that today.(I wonder why)

Here is another character affirmation about JAda. You talk about honest...she will honestly take your head off in a pillow fight championship. They don't call her Crazylady for nothing!

Okay Richard, what's the deal on the soiree at the Anatole?

Jada -- Stay warm and off the roads in sleet!  You are right - uck!!  We are suppose to get some "bad" weather here Friday/Saturday, but as you know it might not come at all and 2 days later, it will be 60-70 and sunny (like today).

We got about 8 inches of snow last night....thank heavens we don't get the amount that J.D. gets.  We usually have snow on the ground into April and sometimes as late as May.  This has been one of the most wintery winters in recent years....percipitation and cold weather.  Right now we are getting a sleety/rainy mix which causes mor e problems...ice on the roads..uck.
My Mother is very weary...so many problems and others are starting to crop up.  It is so sad to see her decline and really have no quality of life.  Her memory is still pretty sharp, so we talk about the past.  So much of her life revolved around JNB, so many of you are mentioned in the stories.

Jada - anyone who has a mother as sweet as yours would never cheat!  That's a No! No! How's the weather up there?  Do you have snow on the ground most of the winter months through.......May?

Hi Rick Watts and Gary Dagley!  Rick, thanks again for the info you gave me on wood worms -- I've been keeping my eye on the legs of my Hunt Chest.

While I was in Galveston for the Fire Show I was walking through the Exhibit area and heard a voice behind me say "hey Shortcake"!  Lamar Ford was one of the Vendors at the show.  He is also a good friend of one of the girls I rode to Galveston with.    You really have to watch what you are doing no matter where you are because we are everywhere

I am back in town but I had to run to Cypress to check on to check on Bobby.  I may be back in town tomorrow - will call you and let you know.
