Comments: I'm slow today Smiley and I missed that one. Sorry to read about Sam's mother...always a tough time for all of us to deal with. Your friends are thinking of you Sam.
Comments: Richard, My Bad. I thought "SOIREE" was what you yelled at a hog-calling. You know.....SOIREEEEEE here pig, pig pig !!!!!
Comments: Received a call from Sam M. Smith late this afternoon. His mother (92-93) passed away last Saturday. He was in Dallas when he called. James Pulis was going to call me but Sam said he wanted to talk to me so it was a nice discussion. Her death not unexpected. Had a stroke some 2 weeks ago. She lived at Presbyterian Village on Ann Arbor and I-35. Ann Hopper's mother is also not doing well. She lives at the same location. Sam said to say hi...I have his cell if anyone wants to call him...I think SLN has it also.
Comments: I am going to a Carrie Underwood concert with my dil, Jessica, in March.
Comments: That's supposed to be a question "would you be open...?"
Comments: The soiree is evolving by the moment...at bit impromptu. However, hog-calling contest sounds like a strong "maybe", when one considers the acoustics at the Anatole. So, Smiley, would be open as a starting contestant since it was your idea.

Comments: KRL, Actually I was trying to make a donation....I did not consider that a bribe.
Comments: I am not to sure about Ada Ann - I am kind of remembering that $20 attempt at a bribe to throw the pillow fight their way. I do still have a picture to prove that
Comments: So, Doc D, put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Comments: Doc, our Jada is the most honest among us and she would never think of cheating.
Comments: Ada Ann- Do you remember the word "blind date"?
Comments: Here is another character affirmation about JAda. You talk about honest...she will honestly take your head off in a pillow fight championship. They don't call her Crazylady for nothing! Okay Richard, what's the deal on the soiree at the Anatole?
Comments: Jada -- Stay warm and off the roads in sleet! You are right - uck!! We are suppose to get some "bad" weather here Friday/Saturday, but as you know it might not come at all and 2 days later, it will be 60-70 and sunny (like today).
Comments: We got about 8 inches of snow last night....thank heavens we don't get the amount that J.D. gets. We usually have snow on the ground into April and sometimes as late as May. This has been one of the most wintery winters in recent years....percipitation and cold weather. Right now we are getting a sleety/rainy mix which causes mor e problems...ice on the roads..uck. My Mother is very weary...so many problems and others are starting to crop up. It is so sad to see her decline and really have no quality of life. Her memory is still pretty sharp, so we talk about the past. So much of her life revolved around JNB, so many of you are mentioned in the stories. |
