Thanks Dale, I couldn't figure out how to describe that beat at the beginning of Bob Seger's Old Time Rock & Roll. You did it beautifully!! That's # 2 with me. #1 is the very long intro of Gimme Some Lovin' by Spencer Davis Group. Donnie used it in the DVD he did for our reunion and I can't tell you how many times Barb & I heard that intro. Oh My Gosh . . . musta been 40 or 50 times Sat afternoon when they were doing the sound check! It has a very long intro with the same 6 notes. That's my #1.

Comments: Wondering what has happened to Rick Watts. I just heard one of my favorite songs. I knew what it was after about three notes. Got me to wondering what would be the all time best opening 8 or 16 bars to a song? I know my two favorites but don't want to influence anyone else's ideas. What say ye, you musicologists and everybody?
