Comments: ....is the opposite of concave...convex?...or maybe it is Cancun!
Comments: Sorry KMG!! You're not chopped liver. Thanks for playing. I didn't think of anyone craking up the volume when that song came on. But, I'm learning something new everyday. Ada, the only Bluebonnets song I remember starts out Bluebonnets, Bulebonnets..... Happy Birthday Bovie. 60 years old and looks like that. Ain't modern medicne wonderful?? Concave /= Convex
Comments: Thanks, Sandy, Now I need to remember the Bluebonnet song....Blue, Blue, Bonnets oh so blue. ----------. I know you're a dolly offered for the rain. I know you'll return again to Texas in the spring. Anyone remember that....maybe we learned it in school?
Comments: Ada, it was Green grow .... that was on the opposite side of Davy Crockett! I loved both songs. No matter where I am, I always make an attempt to find something beautiful.
Comments: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Grow_the_Lilacs Here is one of the songs I mentioned. Remember the Alamo....
Comments: Linda, your answer http://www.lone-star.net/mall/texasinfo/alamo-battle.htm Ada, going to Galveston in a couple of weeks and I sure hope to see some Bluebonnets.
Comments: As I recall, the opposite of concave is Cancun.
Comments: Sally, we also have policemen that ride horses. Beautiful buildings downtown. One of the newest buildings on Woodall Rodgers,is built the opposite of concave, whatever that is. It starts out purple, and changes colors, it's beautiful. It can also be seen from 35S and 75S. It looks like rain here.
Comments: Happy Birthday Bovie -- you're still looking good. Today is a special historical day in Texas. Anyone remember? Sandra -- You are a person of many talents. I wonder what people think who see you flossing while sitting in traffic. That you are multi-tasking.
Comments: And no matter where I am or what I see, there will never be anything as beautiful as Texas in the spring with all of the Bluebonnets! I remember a song that started out "Blue, Blue, Bonnets oh so blue...." It might have been on Davey Crockett. There was also a song, "Green grows the lilacs all sparkling with dew....". Anyone out there remember either of them. One of the songs might have been on the flip side of the Davey Crockett song.
Comments: Sally, It is 36, sunny and clear here. We have about 12"-18" of snow left on the ground. Nothing is blooming that I know of. I do hope we have a nice spring since winter has been a b****!
Comments: Okay I will butt in. How many of you walk to work listening to Aaron Watson ( he is a Texan!) looking out at the river when two horseback riders (okay they were the police) prance by on their way to Grant's tomb? They then got off their horses and looked aroung like tourists. Guess they were out for a ride. And, Ada, it is soo sunny and warm today. The snowdrops are out with NO snow and the heleboros are about to bloom! Not Texas but a beautiful day.
Comments: Ada, for years I have been polishing my nails on the way to work at the stop lights. I was flossing with both hands, because traffic was stopped over the Trinity. I think it was Lionel Harris that was singing, but not for sure. I listen to 90.9 or 94.1.
Comments: Who was singing? Do you use those little one handed flossing thingies or were you flossing with both hands? Maybe you could tie one end of the floss to the steering wheel??? Sandy, how did you accomplish that?????
Comments: How often do you get to floss your teeth on your drive into downtown Dallas and listen to Amazing Grace on the radio? Rod, congratulations on the new grand baby. Precious ![]() |
