Thanks Sandy.

My older brother Marty is a '63 SOC grad. He was the bear mascot. Any of you "63 grads remember him? I'm told he was one of the best mascots to put on the uniform. Did a lot of dancing on the sidelines and end zone.

I'll check with him also. Seems like I remember him talking about a cruise coming up next year with a bunch of SOC grads. I'll give him a call.

This will be Sarah's and my first cruise. Should be really special since it will be our 40th wedding aniversary next year.

Sam - -the cruise is not just for our class.  It's open to all SOC classes and a good number from 63, 64 & 65 go on it every yr.  I personally don't , but know a lot who do & they always say it is fabulous!  Mary Kay Crowder is from class of 64 & works for a travel agency.  She gets good deals & arranges everything.   The people who go on these regularly say it is wonderful.  Let her know if you're interest & she can fill you in & get you signed up.

Any one have the scoop on the Soc Annual Cruise next January? I was perusing the GB and saw it. Is this for the class of '66 or combination of several classes?

Here's the thought for the week of 3-17-08:

Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

JD - - Pay attention to Toni's post.  That's 3 times you have referenced the get-together as being 6-8!    No, it is on Sat the 7th, not Sun the 8th!!!  Remember - - 6-7-8!!!    Easy, right?

J.D. - I read your previous comment about "calling a Starbucks near SNL" and having them deliver to her. Shouldn't be too much of a problem locating one. The damn stores and kiosks are opening up everywhere!

We are saturated with Starbucks stores here in my community. Last month a new Starbucks kiosk opened up in the restroom of an existing Starbucks! Already, the little kiosk is doing almost as much business as the older store.

True story.

Mr. Norman...congrats on your weight loss...several of us have been working to lose weight before out next get together (mini) in June...some more successful than others...but we keep trying.

Although we would like you to post more often...we have several class members that sit on the sidelines and read the GB with great interest. Then when the spirit hits them they come on board...and it appears that you may be one of this group...and that's alright.  But please, check in more often...send a picture...SNL will post it...your weight loss should be a glory moment in your life and we would like to see the "NEW" Robert.

Again, Happy BD and congrats on being the oldest...keep it up and you'll be in that position for many years to come.

SNL...I thought you were asleep...from now on when I see an important post like Roberts BD...I'll call the Starbucks near you and have them deliver...LOL.

Robert, It is good to see you post...don't  hear from you enough...you are the oldest in our class, so we need to have your input on so many subjects.  How is the weather in Ft. Collins.  My son is snowboarding at Loveland today...he does love the snow.  Are you ready to plant your garden?

OK, let me tell you how I remember my birthday every year.   I was named after my father who was named after his father and here is the sticker, all three of us were born on March 20th.     My family is full of Pices'.  but only two of us on the 20th. 60 and 61 does not hold the fear that 50 did.         I don't know about most of you people but I became a Christian in 1969 and had life of many ups and downs.  19 years ago I met the wife I know no the Lord meant for me,  the first wife was big a mistake.
Since I have trouble being disabled with diabete (which is still taken it's toll) . The wife (Jolae, from Long Island) and I do alot of reading in the Bible.
If you remember I had gastric bypass two years ago and lost about 150 lbs. I bet most of you would not know me if we met on the street, lol.  the doctor is mad cause I was down to 139 and she said no lower than 155.
for those of you who want advice about turning 60 and 61, just keep your head down and your mouth shut.  when living in Dallas , ten years ago I gave new meaning to "drive by shooting" ,,  you drive by I shoot.  yehaaa worked for me. lol.
I am sorry for not stopping by more often, I got so many backgammon tournments and texas hold em card games I stay pretty busy, heck it pays for the internet and phone bill,
love ya all and would love to see you again
