Comments: SNL -- I'll put a ck in the mail today. Also, if you go to East Texas b/f it gets too hot, the train ride was great, although we nearly froze to death in the morning. I had the hood up on my jacket all the way to Rusk from Palestine. In those open air cars, the wind whipping around, my knees were numb. Anyway, we ate lots of junk food and saw the beautiful scenery of Texas.
Comments: To help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I've found this interesting site (even though it is Brazilian): http://www.tatuagemdaboa.com.br/ 1. Type your name in the first box 2. Type the name of a good friend in the second box 3. Leave the last two boxes blank (Skip the e-mail addresses) 4.Click on "Vizualizar" and begin your celebration!
Comments: Good mornin' & happy May 5th! I'd like to bring to everyone's attention the post I made on Saturday, 5-3, at 9:32am. If you are just logging on to the GB this morning & haven't seen it, PLEASE go back & read the post! It's easy to spot . . . it's done in blue with a few red sentences. I made public the project that Barb, Toni & I are doing for Christie because so many people have asked how they can help and what they can do! Well, this is how you can help!! Our goal is to make Christie smile & we know a working slot machine will do the trick! Also, to give a little help to Amy (her dtr) and her family as they struggle to care for Christie!! If you desire to help. . . do it this week, don't procrastinate! Time is truly an issue!

Comments: Cheezehead, glad you had a good round on one of the world's finest golf course. You, excited and afraid? Did you forget your wedding night homeboy?
Comments: Thanks Sandy and Buddy. Will email you. I should have thought about the links. I'll have Marvin call or email his classmates as well.
Comments: A great way to start the morning is with 90.9 if you can't make it out this morning. You might be surprised
Comments: SNL - Tell Christie the class of 67 loves her too and the first 2 bits or on me. Count me in. Sammy - email - budgeo(at)flash.net
Comments: What a great gift idea for Christie AND her family. It will be my pleasure and honor to donate. Christie has been a real trooper throughout her ordeal and she is so blessed to have a devoted family to care for her as she does. God bless them all.
Comments: Sam, go to our home page (you can also reach it at the bottom of our GB pg) and click on the SOC LINKS listed on the left side of the Home pg. It gives you all the SOC website links. But don't expect to see info on Gary on the 67 site. They are not publishing it. He doesn't want his personal battle put all over the GB. You might talk privately with Buddy Capps and see if he can fill you in. I know it's serious but not sure of the prognosis. You might suggest to Marvin that he call some of the people listed in his 67 Directory & ask them outside of the GB.
Comments: Hello all. It's been awhile since I've logged onto the GB. My good friend Marvin Mullins, Class of '67, called me from Houston this morning. He was asking how all are doing. He and Shirley Morris Mullins were asking about Gary Hudspeth also class of '67. When they were up here last September for their 40th reunion they went to visit Gary and said he had terminal cancer. I'm not for sure if the class of '67 has a website or not. I could not find a log on. Anyone knows about Gary? I told Marvin I would check with you guys and call him back. Sandy, Sarah and I will send a check for Christy.
Comments: This pertains to Christie Blevins Torbett - - She finished her 6 wks of Radiation & has only a few days of Chemo left. You can still read the Blog her dtr, Amy, updates. http://christietorbett.blogspot.com/
Comments: We brought our new RV to Terrell this weekend to meet 9 other couples and go to 1st Monday-great weekend to plan that-to there after the Tornado so everyone is ok.-just some of the booths got damaged ![]() I really like the Bear on the Home Page SNL-looks great! Nance-if the girls like older men my grandson would probably be a good catch someday-he has great plans to be extremely rich and successful - said he will own a lot of land and build a house for his parent, grandparents and in-laws so everyone can live there happy. You know how kids are!
Comments: Linda, I can't believe your up this late. That's sounds like fun, have a safe trip. I'm going into work tomorrow because I missed so much this week. I don't know which looks worse, my house or my office. Thanks for the card. There was a nice article about my uncle in the paper today. I thought it neat that the paper wanted to do an article on him. Glad to hear Christi is through with her chemo. You're a strong one Christi and we are proud of you. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Comments: Richard Nance -- I read the article about your daughter, Brooke. Way to go girl! Also, you have 2 beautiful grandchildren in addition to a beautiful daughter. Avery has the dark hair like Brooke. Hunter, well, the jury is still out on him. He looks like he might have light hair. Anyway, know that you are proud of them. Tomorrow, we are taking our 2 older grandchildren to BIG Palestine, Texas to ride the train to Rusk on the Texas State Railroad. We'll be eating lunch in Rusk. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive from Dallas to Palestine, so think good thoughts for all of us in the car together. It's suppose to be beautiful weather and not too hot yet, so with the greenery and flowers out, there should be lots of scenery. |
