Comments: Joyce and I were hoping to be there on Saturday, but an old friend who had moved to Michigan is coming in this weekend for his son's high school graduation and we had told him that he could stay with us when he came to town.(At the time, we thought the graduation would be last weekend.) I wish all of you a Happy 60 and ask that you take care of my piece of the cake. We will be sure to block off the next date and not let something keep us away.
Comments: SNL, surely you jest?
Comments: To Christie's family--- Your Mom was one in a million. Everyone who knew her loved her, and your family was so blessed. She was gone too soon though. Jack's right, it was our priviledge to know her and love her. Wish I could be with you guys Sat. Our boys here in Houston are our number 1 priority, and they've got us booked. Hope to see you all in November. Cheers---and have a blast y'all.
Comments: Alyssa: We are the lucky ones for having known Christie. We appreciate your thoughts, but there is no need for thank yous. It was a privilege being Christie's friend. What we did was out of love and that is what friends are for.
Comments: Took a vac day yesterday so I could spend all day at the house waiting on contractors to arrive & getting a bathroom wallpapered. Finally at 6:45pm I got to leave! I read GB late last night & I have two things to say. PARTY STARTS @ 2:00PM SATURDAY - - BE THERE & ENJOY ALL THE FUN!! DON'T BE LATE!!!
Comments: Copy that! This song is for the guys, '66 & '67: Oh be careful little ears what you hear, Oh be careful little ears what you hear, For the Father up above is looking down with love, oh be careful little ears what you hear. Oh be careful little mouth what you say, Oh be careful little mouth what you say, For the Father up above is looking down with love, oh be careful little mouth what you say. ![]() Have fun today and don't loose too many balls. The wind is suppose to be strong again. For three days I have searched for a transvestite to drive the beverage cart for you guys. No such luck.
Comments: Me too!
Comments: Carol - I will check on the on-line pic for you. I do have the collage on my pics and will send it to you.
Comments: Congratulations, KRL! Can the rest of us get to the on-line picture? - Carol
Comments: Shortcake, I hope the firemen don't make the same gesture as Bobby does in the pictures that you take.
Comments: Congratulations, Shortcake. I knew if you kept taking pictures that you would either get arrested or become famous. I'm glad it was the latter.
Comments: What happened to you Rick? You seem so small now I can bearly read you.
Comments: Ok everyone - two pieces of good news - one of my pictures made the front cover of one of the fire magazines. I saw the magazine on line today but have not gotten the magazine yet - hopefully by Saturday. The other news is it you go into the Firehouse Sub Restaurant out at Firewheel and you see the collage on the wall the pictures are all mine. I have not been out there yet to see it but hopefully will get there tomorrow. See you guys later.
Comments: To all of the Soc people. Words can never explain what you all meant to our mom. She truly loved going to the reunions and mini-reunions and getting to know all of you better. Toni, Karen, Barbara and Sandy Lynn and I am quite sure I missed a few...we appreciate everything that you all did for our mom and our family. The tribute Mr. Fugate put on this wonderful website is something that we can all share with our children throughout their own school years to show them how much fun Memaw had with all of you. To all of you your presence Friday and Saturday was comforting to all of us and much appreciated. Please email me troubleof5@aol.com with addresses as I have many thank you's to send and nowhere to send them. God Bless All Of You. Alyssa Torbett Anguiano and the entire Christie Torbett Family.
Comments: OK OK, I didn't know I was missing. SOCrates had a great time in New York. I wish I could have seen Sally but that didn't work out. Sally, maybe next time? Christie's funeral was nice. I'm glad I went. Now for New York, I want to go back and see more of the Museums, There is so much to do there. Niagara Falls is still there but I was told that it keeps moving, 8 to 12 feet a year. I can't believe that. The fire works over the Falls on Memorial Day were fantastic. I will send pictures of SOCrates to SNL if she wants to post them on the site. |
