Comments: Took me awhile to catch up on reading the GB. Kathy, I see that you are moving to NM. It does sound like a great adventure. All the best to you. Where is Rio Rancho in NM? Being near your kids isn't bad either. And, you'll have some pretty scenery. Friday, I have to be at home to have my den floor taken out. Then on another day, I have to be home to have the floor put in and then another day, I have to be home to have the floor stained. SNL, I understand your frustrations. The company we are using do do our den floor is the 3rd company we've dealt with on this job. The same with our kitchen -- 3rd company did the granite, and 2nd group of people to rebuild and finish painting our kitchen cabinets. We've been dealing with this job since March. We spent part of the weekend moving knick-knacks, furniture, lamps, etc. out of our den into other rooms. The floor people will move the big stuff. I don't work on Fridays, but would rather have fun than sitting at the house.
Comments: Bobby Jones-- I can tell by your notes you really meat for the posts to be public... but you checked the "private" box on both! I'm the only person who can log in and see your notes. I went in and made them public for you.  TNX KMG, Susan, Kathy & Sandy for the nice words, I really wasn't looking for sympathy but appreciate the encouragement! I absolutely HATE to move!!!  That's why I stay in the same place for so long. The movers come 8-16 & as you can imagine we're doing our best to move all the little stuff and clothing over there between now and then. The heat this weekend took it's toll on us. We were beyond exhausted when we headed home Sun evening. This is the last move I'm making even if I have to end up crawling up those stairs!! The next move is going to be to a retirement home!!! Kathy, it sounds like a great adventure!! I hope it turns out to be fun & be sure to stay with us via the GB. Even if your miles away, we're always just a click away!!

Comments: Ronney, Your memory is remarkable. Did you have an older brother named Tommy or do I have the wrong family? I did have two younger brothers named Dwight (1960) and Keven (1962). Joetta lives in Hitchcock, Texas; Dwight lives in Rhome, Texas and Keven lives in Garland, Texas.
Comments: I'll tell Kyle that we have been in touch with each other. He is still unmarried, but we are hopeful that his current girlfriend will be the one. He works for Lantana Communications. He has been there a three or four years and loves his work. Thanks for responding. Bob Jones

Comments: Pool Guy - you are absolutely correct. We we beaten but not broken. Since we never got to see the score card I am skeptical of the final score, what with Botox talking dots and dashes and whatever else he was using to confuse the issue. I will have my clubs in NM and getting ready for the rematch. did you talk w/Don L. regarding baseball yet? Just let me know so I can make trvl arrangements.
Comments: Kathy, I would love to have lunch with you this week. I'm suppose to have lunch with a friend from out of town, but I don't know which day yet. What day are you having your hair done? Maybe Linda can join us. Your move sounds exciting to me, I hope you feel the same way. I was ready to move to Romania three years ago with my youngest daughter after she was offered a job there, but she got cold feet. SNL take a deep breath, things will work out the way they are suppose to. Don't sweat the big or the little stuff, or you will forget to enjoy the important stuff...living, loving and laughter  Patience is a virtue

It's doing well and he needed a sales person...that would be me. Remember that word "adventure"? I figure that's what this is. I really hope to see you gals before getting out of here. Only Sat. I'm gone is the 23rd. I'll be out there from 20-26th finalizing everything. I still come to DeSoto to get my hair cut. Isn't that where you are? I'll be there next week sometime. Comments: Bobby Jones: I just looked on the Kimball 1968 website and saw your picture. I do believe you are the Bobby Jones who went to my church. You had a sister named (I think) Joetta. Your dad was named Ancil and everyone called your mom Baby. Seemed like you had a younger sibling, but I cannot remember. E-mail me sometime. I would love to hear what has become of your family. I am the only member of my family still living. You and I didn't really know one another. But, going to church together for such a long time, most of us knew who one another was. And, by the way, your grandmother was the greatest. I had so much fun staying with her at her house one day when I was in the ninth grade. Her house was like a museum. So many neat things to see. Believe it or not, I think of her often. |
