Comments: Sandy, bless yours and Don's hearts! You're taking on quite a job! Sounds like you're coming up on burnout! I'm in for the 9/6 lunch and the GNO. Just let me know. Jake and I are leaving on the 14th for about 10 days in Sioux Falls. That probably doesn't sound very exciting, but we are soooo ready to get out of town and out of the heat. And if you have to go to South Dakota, this is the time to go! It's very nice up there now.
Comments: Come on, SNL, get busy. You know you could accomplished a lot more if you didn't waste all night SLEEPING! Gee, some people can find all sorts of ways to kill time. Southworth, I can't believe that we both thought Julie Adams was the greatest. Who was the male lead? Didn't he go on to star in "I lead three lives" on TV?? What's your take on the remake?? Ada Ann, have you been sniffing the laughing gas??
Comments: Southworth, you opened up a great joke...but I can't post it.
Comments: Bob Jones, yes Doug Lincoln is Don's bro. Don is on the GB a lot and I'm sure he will be contacting you to give you contact info for Doug. I believe Don told me Doug & his wife live in Salado now. I do check the GB a couple of times a day but right now my main focus is getting packed and moved along with all the fun stuff in between!! I'll post the Luncheon info soon. Ya'll stay cool as this heat is a killer!!!
Comments: Hey, Bobby Jones, are you the Bobby Jones who was the grandson of Mrs. Huffstettler? And, did you go to Edgefield Church of Christ?
Comments: I noticed quite a few pictures of Don Lincoln. I was two years behind him and knew a Doug Lincoln. Is this his brother? Would like to know how he is. I went to Clara Oliver and Boude Storey, but moved before my sophomore year and graduated from Kimball, class of 1968. I always missed my friends form Oliver and Storey.
Comments: Memo To Richard Nance: "The Killer Shrews" has its place in the 1950's movies genre - but my favorite remains the 1954 classic "Creature from the Black Lagoon". (or Black Magoon, as my 6 yr. old brother called it). It featured powerhouse-actress Julia Adams who never received the awards and credits she was rightfully due. That girl could act and make you believe that there was hope for these two kids from opposite sides of the track ... er, lagoon. http://www.poeforward.com/deadgirls/images/scream-queens/sq-adams01creature.JPG To this day, I've always wanted to live on a street named "Black Lagoon". It still has a certain cache.
Comments: It's not nice to tell secrets ![]() Who put my name on the Viagra list? I get at least six emails a day on this. The wrinkle cream I understand but the Viagra ![]()
Comments: Roger Polson, It was great to see your pictures on this website. It has been many years since I have seen you. Please drop me a note when you have the time. There is a lot of catching up to do! Your Fortune Lane buddy.
Comments: Dennis, no it's not my Courtney. She graduated from DeSoto High School and has been a senior at Dallas Baptist for several years now. Some day she'll finish. Kathy, what takes you to NM? Hopefully we ladies can get together this next month for lunch on a Saturday.
Comments: SNL, or whoever is in charge of setting dates...is there going to be a get together this fall? If so, do you have a date yet? I am moving to Rio Rancho, NM and want to pencil in the time. Thanks.
Comments: I'm "working" out of my home-office today and watching "The Killer Shrews", filmed around Grapevine or Lake Dallas ('57). It's really a scary show. The shrews aren't bothering me so much, but Gordon McClendon's acting is sending shivers up my spine. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. I think Southworth lists this as one his favorites...maybe not.
Comments: Dennis, when Sandy McMakin gets home from work I bet she will give you some answers, but sounds like it could be one in the same!
Comments: I was browsing through the pictures in the misc photo album and noticed Sandy Mc 's family, and was wondering if her daughter Courtney went to Trinity High. If this is the same Courtney then she went to school wih my daughter Carrie Hayden and were best friends, and with that Sandy's husband Mike would have coached the "Derek Dolls" of Dresser Industries a team that my wife played for when we were involved in softball. Could this be so?
Comments: Ada Ann, I'm afraid I can't help you with that one. It sounds like a compilation of many songs and/or poems. Welcome back Cap'n Jack, or should I say "Wet Willy". (Sandy McM, I like the names you picked |
